"Wh-why... wh-why d-does... n-no one w-want to l-love me?" He moaned, a fresh bout of drunken tears dribbling down his round green face, and his tongue remained stuck to the bottle despite his tugging.

Seth sighed in resignation. It was completely beyond him on how to help this poor depressed guy now. He raised an eyebrow as he noticed that the guy's frog-tongue was still stuck to the bottle, however.
"Are you alright there?" He reached forward to grab the neck of the bottle, then began to pull. "Let go, it'll probably come off."

And Newt let go, and his tongue stretched out painfully as Seth tugged, "Ow!" He yelped, "Tha'... tha' hur's!'

Seth wasn't sure about the exact stretch or adhesive properties of frog-tongues, but he was more than sure if he kept pulling, the tongue would surely pop off and Newt would be free again.
"Of course it hurts!" He didn't doubt that statement for a second. "But d'ya want it to be stuck there forever?" For the time being, he ignored Newt's protests for the time being and kept tugging. "Just relax or something, okay? Don't worry, It'll come off if I pull hard enough."

Suddenly, it snapped back into Newt's mouth and the force of the rubber-band shot sent him stumbling backwards to trip over his own enormous, floppy feet and land sprawled on his back with a startled, "KrrKIT!"

As Newt's tongue released itself from the bottle, the force made Seth stumbled back a few steps himself, but he managed to keep his balance.
"Heh heh... Um, sorry about that." Seth grinned apologetically as he glanced down at Newt. "My next suggestion was to soak it off in the pond water. But see, I told you, it came off. Was I right or what?"
He glanced down at Newt, then offered him a paw of help.
"Need help getting up again, down there?"

Perhaps it was the old story about hypnotizing frogs by turning them upside down, or maybe it was the alchohol, but it seemed the frog-man had fainted, his shriveled, sticky tongue dangling from his wide mouth.

"Well? do you..? You can't hang around all day down there, ya' know."
Seth glanced down at Newt once again, giving him another look over. He gave him a gentle nudge in the side with a clawed toe. No response. When he discovered that the frog-man was not moving at all now, his eyes widened in dread and a feeling of immense panic began to wash over him. His tail stuck out straight behind him, stiff and tense.
"Oh s**t, I killed him!"
"Bugger!!" He crouched down beside Newt and began to shake his shoulder vigorously, panicked and afraid. The lab staff would not be friendly at ALL if they learned he had murdered somebody. "Oy! Wake up, ya' gitface!!"

As he was shaken, the frog resurfaced from his drunken stupor, "Aaah? Wh-what?" He slurred, and covered his mouth with both scrawny webbed hands "Oww, m-my d-dong'...!"

Seth breathed a heavy sigh of relief as Newt came to once more. Being passed out from drunkenness was something that Seth had experienced a number of times, and he felt quite silly now at the thought that he had killed the frog-man. He was just passed out! Not dead. Seth had to chuckle slightly in amusement at that thought.
"Hey, at least your tongue isn't stuck to the bottle any more, you should be happy about that much. I know I would be." He paused, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, if I had a tongue like that..."
"Can you stand?" He shook his head and sighed. "I'll help you back to your duplex if you want. Anything is better than being a decoration in in the middle of the path here."

"Haven't... really s-s-stood... in months..." He slurred unhappily, but carefully propped himself up on his elbows as he pulled his knees up readying to at least squat froggishly.

"Well, er... can you, um, hop all right?" Seth felt rather awkward as he said it, partially because part of him was still trying to come to terms with the island, and because he wasn't sure if such a statement would offend Newt or not.
"Go on, mate. Go home and just sleep it off, okay?" He sighed. "You feel like s**t now, sure, but it'll be better one day. Maybe you can try and shoot for another chance at this sheila again another day, ey?"

"H-her.. her N-name's... name's n-not... not Sh-sheila..." He mumbled even as he wobbled back down into proper froggish position, prepairing to leap. "It's... N-nuh-natsumi..."

"Er... what?" Seth was initially confused by what Newt had said. It took a moment for it to click in his head. "No, wait. A sheila is a woman, a female, you know.. a bird, a member of the opposite sex?"
"Natsumi though, that's her name, huh?" He nodded. "Anyway, yeah, Natsumi. I'm sure if ya' play your cards right, she'll realise what a nice bloke you are. She's probably making a really big mistake." Seth bounded back a couple of steps as he watched Newt's awkward-looking stance. He really didn't want to be in the way if Newt leaped and landed, especially if he was unco-ordinated and drunk.
"Er... are you sure it's safe to hop like that? I mean, ah..." He chuckled nervously. "If you're shitfaced, you don't really wanna become a flying projectile, or land flat on your arse because your judgement sucks."
