Living with the Greek gods is a good assumption. Maybe to each god is one type of dragon. Ieferzcut...I think...he doesn't talk much just watches and listens....

So how would dragons survive for so long with out people searching for them (as in the gov't) how do they exist in only in myths and stories?

they live in your imagination..
but you can buy a water dragon...small relative to the iguana likes to swim...and eats anything that moves...
