Esscenceofdreamz In America, we usually address people by First Names first and Last Names second. In Japan, they're more formal and they usually address people by their Last Names first and their First Names second. Simple as that~

Almost all anime names are switched when it's dubbed. Just be glad they didn't change the names to make it more 'Americanized'.

Japanese culture says that family name goes first hence Hyuuga Hinata, but American culture dictates it goes last hence Hinata Hyuuga

No, in Japan when you introduce yourself you persent your last name first, flollowed by your first name. Hence Hyuuga Hinata--but in America we do the exact opposite--Hinata Hyuuga
