Wes was now in the center of the hallway and had two choices. Either go on and face the almost inhuman stench or go back and continue walking in circles. Theres only one obvious choice he thought to himself. He checked his gun with his light and checked if it was loaded. It was, so he moved slowly down the hall using his light to check the hallway. He could see a very distant shadow and about 3 doors. One close by, another one slightly farther down the hallway, and another one with, what looked like, a lock on it right near shadow. Wes decided to move down the hallway using the doors as break points. He made it to the first room safely without the shadows notice and checked the room.

Nina heard something behind her and ran quickly in the opposite direction. Whichever way down the hall she was headed in now, it seemed illuminated by... something. At least it's light... she thought. She turned back to face the way she had come. Nothing. So, she continued on down the corridor, acid and poison containers in hand.

After seeing of nothing of interest in the room he left. He heard some loud running noises. He quickly turned his light in the direction, disregarding the shadow behind him.

Swinging fiercly the living dead missed it's target. Quickly it recovered from the slash it attempted and moved after her. It walked at a normal pace but couldn't much faster. Both it's legs had minimal muscle left and almost nothing else to hold them together. Even it's flesh dropped to the ground as it moved. As the clumps fell from it's body maggots and other insects became noticeable. There little white bodies squirming and churning with incredible speed as they ate the carcass.
Music started to play but softly and in a more upbeat pattern from the radio room.

Nina was running while looking behind now. She turned around when she heard loud thumps. It sounded as if something was falling. Quickly she turned her head back around only to be blinded by a very bright light. She stumbled backwards by the sheer brightness of it. "Umm... hello?" she said in a slightly whispered voice.

Wes turned off his light for a second and knelt down to see who, or what, had fallen in front of him. "Hello." He said. He then got up and extended his arm to help the young girl up. "My name's Wes. I'm on the police force. Notice anything strange about this house?" He asked knowing what answer he would receive.

Nina took the offered hand gratefully. "Well.... Wess," she started "…other than the fact that there's something trying to kill me every five seconds, everything seems perfectly fine." She bent down to re-position her wrapping on her leg. It had gotten loose. "What're the police doing here anyway?"

Still marching forward the zombie groaned and the stench it brought with it was unbearable. "Demonsss..." It cried out as it raised it's hand once more to slash down on the two. "Kill you...." Moaned the fiend once more dropping it's heavy and long nailed hand on the two. As the limb swung down an eye fell from his rotting skull. In it's place rested dozens of large maggots. Then the eye fell and rolled on the floor to there feet and looked up at the two.
The radio kept playing and suddenly turned into a dirge usually heard in churches durring a funeral.

"One second." Wess said as he wipped out his pistol and fired at the zombies head. As he fired he yelled out, "The police are here to investigate the deaths of the people who enter this mansion. Take this." He said as he handed her his flashlight.

Nina's eyes widened considerably when Wess started to fire over her head. She grabbed the flashlight that was shoved into her face and stood behind Wess, shining the bright light into the maggoty zombie's face.

Wes quickly reloaded the gun as he kicked the zombie in the gut.

The zombie moved just a little and out of the target zone before the shot was fired. It's hand slashed the gun away from the man quickly. "KILL!" It shouted before slashing with it's other hand at the mans face. Aggitated the maggots squirmed in the corpse almost making it move faster. "Demons... Kill you..." It called out again as it's hand came down on the mans leg.
Dirges played and seemed to get darker and heavier.

"Run." The man said as he grabbed the girls arm, grabbed his gun, and ran as fast as he could.

Shrieking the undead stopped and went into a nearby room. As it entered the body parts of it flew off and shot into the hall way. Quickly dozens of little shriekers came running out each one covered in maggots and rotting flesh. They attacked the zombie and now had a new target to go after.
Suddenly Dirges turned into the white noise all over again louder and filling the house as well.

Nina's brain didn't even have enough time to register what was happening, so when she felt her arm being grabbed onto, she ran as well.
