Suddenly, two huge and powerful beams blasted the enemy rockets, reducing them to cinders as Talos and Minotaur fired their Breaker Beams. At the same time, twenty large Shield-seeking RPGs zoomed in on the bombers, which were now vulnerable
Hallas opened a com window to everyone "Let's get out of here before they throw more spunk at us, you cherries still alive?"

The bomber's rear bottom mounted auto anti-missile laser defense systems turned on. The rapid fire lasers locked onto each missile and destroyed them by firing a small laser into their warheads one at a time, yet in quick procession. The pilots pin pointed the enemies location and called in another orbital bombardment.

"Retreat, follow my lead!" He announced to all. Shadow lead the way to a hidden underground route, the one they had taken to get here. Covering their rear, he kept an eye out for attacks.

"Golems, fall back to your position, Claws, follow their lead!" Talos and Minotaur headed off to the south, heading back to the western side, accompanied Gryphon and Manticore. Sphinx followed behind the Claw units, covering the rear should enemy approach from behind

"You guys risked your necks to save us, like hell I am going to back stab the only ones doing that right now." He felt a bit offended. "We use this route all the time to get to and from target locations." He points out all the trails and tunnels. "It's a network of tunels that go from town to town." He explained.

Jnizo spat at the mention of their goverment. "I'll bet they had contacted yours..." The idea of their goverment selling them out was sitting heavily in her.

Daos appeared in another com window to the both of them "What, are you crazy or something!? You must be, it would be our necks if you were to give out information to the enemy! It is against the will of Grandmaster Celsus, and you know he eats game like us for a snack! Just the thought of facing the wrath of that tranny......ugggghhhh" He shuddered
"Arggh, can it, before I head over there and castrate you rigth inside your Magno!" She sighed, as he growled and turned off. "Sorry about that, my uncle is a bit of an idiot, but he's good on the battlefield." Her expression was serious "We were informed that we were suppose to take your capitol by force, and to destroy your forces of opposition, but, as soon as our dropoff was made, we were informed that our new target was to prevent the Torasian fighters from taking the capitol. We were also told not to engage into combat with you. Naturally, I was confused, but orders are orders, and innocent lives were at stake. Not that the Grandmaster has ever cared about innocent lives, but it does strike me as strange that your backup never came, but ours did. and why were our orders so specific about destroying the Torasin fighters as a top priority?"

"This whole ******** world has gone upside down." Shadow shook his head. "We got orders to scout, then suddenly were told to engage any and all targets. Though my group possess heavy armed mech's, we aren't specialized in full out warfare. We're the countries Shadow Unit, designed in quick assaults from the shadows. The heavy mechs are simply to cover our asses." he then stopped for a moment. "Or at least, we were the countries Shadow Unit."

I will stay with these, those are your orders" She sighed "How do you propose to evacuate your people, and don't you think the Torasian is expecting that? You could put your people in possible danger by making them evacuate, doesn't the city have bunkers down here?"

After reaching the LZ the Sal Torasian mechs powered down and the pilots exited their mechs. They were still in their combat armor. Heavy and bulky enough to keep their sexes and identities completely secret. The Voice masking kept their voices exactly the same. "I'm going to call for reinforcements from the rest of the Marines. We don't have effective enough weapons to deal with the issues at hand. We'll have them land and set up a BO. While they do that we take down whatever is left of the military installation and it's defenses. That will make way for the rest of the expeditionary force. From there we set up a defensive perimeter around the launching grounds for the destruction team. Those ruins must be destroyed before they can reawakened." "Ma'am. Before who are reawakened?" "What I know from the briefing i was required to be at. This operation isn't a conquest. It's more of a humanitarian effort. We're to land, clear all defenses in this area. Land forces, take control of the the eastern sector of this country. From there we have access to some cult's temple ruins in the red zone." She pointed at a point due east of their position in the red zone. "We have an experimental mech team that's going in to completely seal this temple's lower level and catacombs. The people there found some relic within them. The emperor has deemed it to be a great threat and wants it sealed."

"Alright, in that case, perhaps we should split our forces. I'll take two of you with me to Hellion City, the rest of the squadrons will stand by; they will be available for assistance if neccesarry." She was straight to the point with her words "his way, there is someone protecting the civilians here."
Meanwhile, off to the northeast, lay Hellion City of Auctoritania. The ruins of Pei were located some 200 or so miles directly south of the City. Grandmaster Celsus sat on his throne, speaking on a specially designed cell phone. His voice was shrill and extremely trannyfied, and he wore a sheer silken fetish maid outfit with bunny ears. He had a thick red goatee and long, flowing red hair put into a large bun. "Yes, the operation is going according to plan, we have our forces taking Meconis as we speak, and our Belters are working around the clock to find the artifact that powers the trans gate. I assure you I will get you what you've asked for, Sir Oberon, I will make good on my terms."
