Blackberry, that's great that you found better people than that girl who was really frustrating you. And an attractive guy, in addition.
Ballerina, that was one brand that I was referring to, but all I could think of when I said that some brands had non-asian models was H.Naoto.

heart That makes me awfully mad! It's like saying you can't be a martial artist because you aren't Asian... heart what heart is happening to the world and it's perception that everything heart has to be stereotypical?! heart

NeverMoreBlue my father likes to tease me about likeing asian things and not eating pork (just cant stand the taste) >.< I really don't like pork all that much either, i am more beef. But whenever we order Chinese food in my house my dad always gets all pumped up and starts saying: "China, Japan...all the chincy same. WOOT CHINC FOOD~!" Hes so horrible, i don't go with him to pick up the food in fear he would say "chinc" infront of the people. sweatdrop

I find it rather offensive and actually odd, since I'm 1/4th Japanese. That means my 1/2 Japanese father is degrading his own heritage. Of course, both my parents are all "w00t American Pride!!! Come on, Masa, be an AMERICAN GIRL!" stare No. Thanks.

Hes so horrible, i don't go with him to pick up the food in fear he would say "chinc" infront of the people. sweatdrop Oh wow. Where I grew up, there are lots of Korean and Vietnamese restaurants, and I went to school with a lot of kids who were the first generation born in the US. So, I got pretty good at telling different kinds of Asian people apart. And then, in college, I'm surrounded by Chinese and Indian girls, and have taken Chinese, so when people start mixing up nationalities, it really puts me on edge. I usually walk away, so I don't do something violent. Probably the thing that confused me most, was when a girl who goes to my college (I don't know her, but have seen her around) was talking to her friends loudly in the campus center and said, 'I didn't know that India was part of Asia.' >.< I could understand if she didn't know it was a subcontinent, but jeeze, has she never looked at a map? I have to say, when it comes to asian countries, that Japan is my least favourite. Which makes it incredibly ironic that I wear lolita, and love horror manga, and Akira Kurosawa, and quite a lot of Japanese food. Sage, I'm just as off topic as you are. heart Loli Lace, you should tell your dad that the only reason that Japan has some of the same stuff as China is because they realized what a good thing the Chinese had going on, and decided to borrow it. Language, clothing, musical instruments, some foods...

Love ya, too, sweetie. ^____^
Generally, threads like this get offtopic anyway, and it's good to just chat, rather than worry about the topics all the time. There are some threads that really should stay on topic, like the snack, hair, and shoe threads...and the brands thread, and some others I can't remember.
