One eyebrow slowly arched, an almost imperious look. Why would he hurt the one person who had actually allowed him a small chunk of happiness in these past months? The idea was absurd...not that the angel really phased him...he was not afraid, tail lashing to and fro almost absently, as the attitude of Hikuzu's mother was rather rankling.

He almost sensed what the singer was going through, as he knew the feelings all too well, and as if by actions alone, he could make everything all right, he wrapped his arms more fully about the angelic fox, pulling him near.

"I do not think that Hikuzu would be pleased if I hurt his brother...and I would not be pleased with myself if I hurt Hikuzu...Threats do not change my actions...and if they did, it would not be in a manner that you would like." Clearing his throat, the coon plowed on, "Mistress implies that I am superior to the one that I have seen fit to bed, I can assure you that that is not the case." 'Ros smiled, and it was a look that was almost unlike him entirely, a though something...warmer had leaked out, as it occasionally did when he was alone with the musician.

"The relationship of mate is not for everyone, you know...some people do not feel comfortable in such a situation, and I have promised to take care of both Hikuzu and the children that he bears. What more could you possibly ask of me?" He said in a tone that insinuated that if they wanted more, then that would be entirely to demanding and would be imposing upon the coon's rights.

Hiryo sigh and looked down his red eyes showing a shadow of confusion. He shook his head and looked up at Hikuzu. What, what was he really against? He blinked twice looking up at Kudo and shook his head. "I just don't want you hurt Hikuzu. You're leaving me now and I feel.." he sigh and just rested his head on his mate's chest. "I'm sorry hunny."

Aure blinked and pressed his lips together in though. "I'll make some tea," he muttered and ran to start a brew. This was between mama and Hikuzu.

At this point, Kudo felt it was necessary to take charge of the conversation at hand and so smiling after his retreating son, and wrapping protective arms around his beloved mate, he spoke with undenyingly crisp clarity: "'Ros, we only ask you take care of our son. He's been hurt enough and I'd prefer if he wasn't hurt anymore." The look in his own eyes showed he was not afraid of the other either. He had killed people, not a big deal really if you had no fear or conscience. Kudo would do anything to keep his family safe and he knew 'Ros was not potentially harmful... yet.

Hikuzu fell back into the reassuring voice of his coon. There was many things to keep him from relapse, but the strongest one was desperation. He did not want to break into tears now. Hormones and inner problems combined at this moment would cause a scene he would never recover face from and so to save himself the shame he turned himself and hugged against 'Ros, as if trying to bury himself there. He simply sought more comfort; arms wrapped around from behind were not enough, he wanted the reassurance of his arms around the others solid form. "I left a long time ago mother and I've found what I wanted to. Trust me when I say that I've thought this over. 'Ros won't abandon me, he won't hurt me.... please..." Those red eyes scanned and begged his mother, ignoring his vanishing tea-making brother.

'Ros wondered why, if he himself had locked his own emotions away behind a wall...then how could he feel Hikuzu's so acutely? His own strong arms wrapped the singer up in his embrace...fingers gently stroking hair. He would let the mother of his children do the talking a moment, for after all...he was reiterating what the coon himself had already stated.

This was doing terrible things to his reputation, he noted with a hint of chagrin.

"I do not intend to hurt him...his hurt, though of a different source, is equal in kind to what I once endured. I understand, and I will not cause him pain. I may shut the rest of the world out and treat them with contempt, but I cannot...and indeed, will not do that to him." He smiled at the distraught musician in his arms, "I am instead, the wall that he can take shelter behind."

He was in a much better mood now that the b***h-slappable brother was gone.

Hiryo turned to look at 'Ros and gave a little snort. "You're blaiming Aure aren't you. For what happen to Hikuzu." He set a hand on Kudo's protective arms. "I'm..I'm alright right now Kudo; I just lost it and I'm sorry love. Though I would love a cup of tea when Aure finishes."

He looked back at Hikuzu giving a small smile. "If you're sure this is what you want I won't stop it. I admit he's hot though not nearly as good looking as your father." The angel voice dropped into a loving coo as he spoke. "No one matches Kudo in hotness." He nuzzled the fox's neck.

There was an extremely visible air in the room after that statement. 'You're blaming Aure, aren't you?' Was that the truth behind it all? Did 'Ros care so much and protect so much because of what Aure had done? Aure had existed and the singer knew that was no crime of his brothers. It was a crime of his own. It was his own burden and he could only mutter discontent at such a weighty conviction. Somehow watching his parents upset him and he turned from the sight. "He still means the world to me..." Though the words were nearly inaudible and directed at no one in particular. The troubadour was suddenly very tired. Tired of everything.

Said fox stroaked the other gently, kissing the top of his Hiryo's head with the most caressing of gestures. There was a light laugh to his sweet calm voice of reason, "Personal preference my darling." He really didn't mind the angel's sweet words, over-protective nature and his loving self, it was all the parts he loved and cherished. "Tea will be nice, shall we give Aure company in the kitchen?" He shared a smile with everyone to indicate that the bad of the day had passed and they could move on to actually meeting this 'Ros... and not judging him beforehand.

'Ros chuckled softly, head tilting, auburn strands shifting in the light. "I would not call it blaming...for it would seem that Aure's role has been a passive, ignorant one..." Still stroking electric blue hair, 'Ros was settling easily into the role in which he felt comfortable. That of a smartass. "And thank you ever so much, but you really don't have to tell me I'm good looking...it is a fact of which I am well aware..." His wink was playful, perhaps even good-natured...if that is not a contradiction to the coon's very nature.

Pausing but a moment, he murmured in the singer's ear, "Am I of such value? I daresay that is too hefty a price..." But that moment was gone then...and so was the seriousness of his voice.

"Tea? I daresay that does sound like a fine idea...shall we migrate?"

Might as well try and make everyone happy...even if it involved being nice to bitchslap-boy.

"Ignorant? Hell, Hikuzu been scaring him with his possessiveness," Hiryo grumbled crossing his arms. The angel sigh, it would not be good to fight about his other son's behavior to his brother's love. "Never mind, never mind we should drop this." He shook his head and pulled slightly from his mate heading to the kitchen.

Aure hummed as he set the tables with biscuits and preservatives. The kettle whistled cheerfully and he went to tend to it. "Tea is ready!" He called and eyed the table. It was professionally set, he had worked as a waiter at a higher classed restaurant till the little accident with a customer. It looked good. Hmm..did he have time to make some cookies?

To say the very least, the troubadour winced at his mother's words and he tensed as if he was going to run. Run where, no one could say, but he wanted to. He was rather regretful of coming here today, rather regretful of even telling his parents. Perhaps it should've stayed a secret, one between himself and 'Ros and of course the twins, for they would inevitably find out. However, it was too late now and there was a tension between the coon and his mother. His father however, seemed quite passive and accepting of the situation albeit a bit nervous with his mate's actions. Hikuzu saw this and he wondered why his father sometimes couldn't be more agressive... he supposed it had something to do with the bloody letter he kept in his room... the one he'd never had the gall to look at.

Posessiveness? Pah! He'd never done a damn thing to his brother except perhaps beg him and hug him. Not a thing. Aure was always like that. Weak and sniveling at times, terrified at others... the bubbly depressing uke whom he'd loved so much. He had loved Aure more then he could ever explain with words and that hurt. It hurt too much and quite suddenly he felt ill. It would be a good idea to sit down now, if nothing else but for the children's sake. He was stressing and that couldn't be good for them. With reluctance he leaves the warmth of his friend and trudges to the kitchen, staring at Aure and the table with surprised admiration before taking a seat silently. He was no longer in the mood to talk; the faster this visit ended, the better.

Kudo frowned thoroughly this time. He was no longer happy with how this visit was going either. There was something about 'Ros he was tense with, but his own mate was causing this edge and he was rather lost as to how to solve such a situation. Finally he decided it would need to solve itself on it's own time and he watched Hikuzu walk away to the kitchen, watched Aure call them and watch Hiryo go too. It was slightly upsetting and modestly infuriating. He took a glance at 'Ros and intercepted him so that they were alone. "You'll have to forgive him..." He was trying to be polite, trying to keep his family from breaking with everything he had even though he was clamouring intimations inside. "Our children ... it's just not easy for my love to accept this easily, especially with the current situation. Don't hold it against us, or my other son." And without waiting for a response, he turned on his heel delicately and went towards the kitchen himself.

He'd stopped, lost a moment when Hikuzu pulled away from him...the angelic fox was his anchor in this situation...the one thing that was familiar and that he could latch to, however subtly. Upon the 'mini-lecture' from Kudo, 'Ros could not help but frown...that on top of what Hiryo had said...the coon could not help but be torn as to what should be done or said.

It was a problem he was not accustomed to.

'Ros did not so much think as he acted...looking for the vulnerable points in others. Of course, in this situation they were all too obvious, and it was hard...to try to hold someone together...much more daunting a task than to rip them apart. And it was his greatest challenge...and one that he intended to succeed in.

Joining them in the kitchen with a smile, golden eyes went immediately to the only person here that he really gave a damn about...god that smile felt fake...a mockery...but he couldn't help himself...he had to smile...keep up the facade for another series of moments...and then with any luck he could be a bit more blunt later...not have to keep such a tight rein of control.

He did not deem to sit, but instead, he placed himself behind Hikuzu, resting his hands on the singer's shoulders...gently massaging as though to ease some of the tension he felt there.

Aure was of no consequence anymore.

Aure moved a seat out for his brother, motioning the other should sit. "Sit brother and have some tea. You look all tense and it can't be good for the babies." He said giving a gentle smile at his twin. "What kind of tea would you like? I didn't know what everyone would agree with so we have hot water and tea bags."

The uke was all concern and geiune sincerity. He had heard the argument as well from the kitchen and the thought of his brother troubled made his heart heavy. Speicaly since he was causing this perdicament.

Hiryo had seated himself, already sipping a cup of orange spice mixed with a heafty does of sugar. The angel was trying to keep from having a other mood swing while his son was here. It was difficult to say the least. He had never had much control of his emotions before the accident and after had left his mind a mess.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 02, 2006 7:02 pm

Right, the children. He had to think of them and focus on them. This whole mess was certainly no fault of his and 'Ros's unborn children and they should by no means suffer the consequences of his insecurities. He silently and solemnly wished that they would never suffer like this, never feel the pain of heartbreak and betrayal and distrust and unhappiness so strongly. He hoped that he could raise these children to look up to him and to live their lives grandly and happily. He doubted it was possible but he wanted to all the same.

Scarcely seeming to move he grabbed a bag of cammomile tea from the table and put it in a cup before him. Gently he poured hot water for himself, still not trusting his voice to come out soft and smoothly. His cracking angelic voice was a hazard these days and he knew not how to solve it. He despised Aure worrying over him and he waved his hand at the boy, "I'm fine Aure..." Finally words, and level-headed ones too.

Kudo watched his boys and his mate. The sudden calm and wariness of the room, the frantic yet helpful concerned gestures of his flitting son Aure was unnerving him and he bit his lower lip fiercely. He was on the verge of screaming in anger. This was not how things were supposed to go! His family was supposed to be stable! Supportive! Not bickering and unmindful of their obligations as a family! As a unit! It made him so angry and with slow trodding steps he took a seat on the side of Hiryo across from an empty chair and clenched his fists in his lap, not wanting to look at any of them.

If there was one thing that could unsettle 'Ros faster than his own thoughts and emotions...it was silence...and the words from Hikuzu had not helped one whit. He needed to say something...something in order that this entirely akward moment be erased entirely.

Nervousness was not a feeling he was accustomed to...nor one that he liked. "Hikuzu..." He murmured the singer's name like a caress, the hand that had been resting on a shoulder slid up to the curve of the angelic fox's neck instead.

He knew just how much the other was really hurting...and the coon could not help but fret a little. For one might hide behind a wall, but that only meant that the emotions were trapped inside...seething and desperately wanting to get out...but unable...and instead lashing inwards and hurting the one who contained them istead.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 02, 2006 8:34 pm

"Okay, Ros you should sit by Hikuzu. Umm.." The angel hybrid really didn't know where to seat himself with out causing a other break out of grrr hiss fighting, so he went to the fridge to see what else was in there. Nothing..

"Father? Did you want some tea?" He questioned looking up at the fox.

Hiryo sipped his tea and with a soft unwinding sigh leaned against his mate, nuzzling supportivly as Kudo's fust clenched in his lap. "Planing to fight them all?" He muttered softly, blinking sleepily as a new mood swing of peaceful senerity brought on by the tea settled over him.

Hikuzu's crimson eyes closed at that touch and he muttered a response, "Yes?" The voice was distant, hidden. He was level-headed now but only because he'd buried himself deeper then he had intended and now he was merely watching everything from outside his body. A part of him cried out in pain and begged for 'Ros to just grab him and bring him away, to hold him and hold him so tight he wouldn't be able to breath. He wanted that touch to reassure him but it only loosened his breath and made the pain lessen ever so slightly.

Kudo gave up his fist and looked at Hiryo, then to Aure with a gentle smile that was entirely fake, "No I'm alright son." Then his gaze fell back to his mate and his eyes sharpened then fell peaceful as he sighed. It wasn't the time for fighting and arguments, it was a time of acceptance and achieval. He placed an arm around Hiryo and whispered into the other's ear, "I'm not going to fight anyone and I suggest you don't either." He didn't say it unkindly but it did indicate he was more then ready to snap at the moment.
