She smiled in thanks. "I'll find a way to have you fly with me. I don't leave my friends behind" she promised before looking at the diagram as well. She then got up. "Let's ask Erik about this!" she decided suddenly.
Korbin, whose been silent for a while, flapped up to Reiha's head. "I don't think we should bother the human Reiha. Just let him hide in the kitchen. he can't bother you there"
"He can't help me there ether" Reiha pointed out as she stood up. "Don't worry about it Korbin. Erik is way better than Adian and even Adian doesn't hurt us or anything. Why would Erik?"

He smiled. "I.. that's ok.. I cna jsut watch.." He remarked.. He'd very quickly come to the conclusion that he didn't like heights and flyign usually involved being quite high up.
Getting up, he looked over at the ktichen. "M'kay. Jut uh.. don't be 'ffended if he doesn't hear us at first.. Erik does that sometimes when he reads.." He said. He didn't want Reiha to get the wrong idea about his guardian.

"You can't watch flying. Flying is freedom" she told Berial. "It's different when you are in control. You can't fear anything you're in control of" Which oddly was very wise adivce from a very young girl. And could explain so much about the controling girl.
"I wont get insulted, I do the same to Adian. Only it's on perpose" she gave a giggle that Korbin echoed (kind of). Mostly only Reiha heard the echo but they were both not very fond of Adian.

"Why dun you like Adian? Is he a bad Mu?" He asked.. He'd noticed the animosity that Reiha held towards the older man, but he didn't seem that abd, and Erik seemed to like him wll enough. Opening th door to the kitchen, he peered insdie. True to what he'd expected Erik was sitting there, jotting down notes in a notebook, several large tomes open on the ktichen table in front of him.

"He is always bugging me about this or that. He wont just leave me alone" Reiha complained, frowning as she remembered what Adian did last time they really talked...She then shook her head. No he was bad. he kept on bugging her after that. It was anoying. "He's anoying. Plus he doesn't want me" she muttered, "He wants to just nail women"

Berial gave a soft shriek and his eyes went wide. "Nail them?! Onto what?! Why?!" He shouted, obviosuly nto aware of the less literal meaning of the words. He was on the verge of tears.
Erik looked up from his notes at Berial shriek and he got to his feet, worry on hsi face as he went towards the children.
Berial rushed to Erik immediatly, clutching his guardian's sleeve in fear. "Erik! We can't let Reiha go back to Adian.. He.. he nails people!!!"
Erik could only glance at Reiha, hoping she'd make more sense of this than the now hyterical Berial.

Korbin watched as Berial fliped out and started to crack up as only a bird can. Oh my god the human was so silly in it's naivity. Of course Korbin was a full grown crow with all the intellgence of a normal adult human. He knew very well all idioms and their meanings but boy was it fun to watch the human freak as he thought something completely different. And it was odd, Korbin never laughed before.
Reiha stared at her friend as he freaked out. She titlted her head to the side and then looked over at him, then to Eric then back to Berial. She wasn't quite sure how to explain it. So she decied to choose the bluntest terms she had avaialbe.
"He has sex with people" she said at last. "Females mostly, older ones then me. Not that I'm intrest of course" Reiha shuddered at the thought. "Nails them is a...what do you call it Eric? Oh yeah, Slang for sex" Reiha nodded wisely.

Berial snifffled, looking up from the now wet sleeve of his guardian's dress shirt.. "so.. so he doesn't nail people?"
"No.. He doesn't.."
"and he won't nail Reiha?" He asked still a bit wary with all this nailing business going on..
Erik shook his head..
He sniffled again, finally releasing his sleeve. ".. ok.." He said simply, sniffling again.. he'd gotten genuinely scared that Adian would nail Reiha.. His mind had given his a rather gruesome,a nd rather vivid picture of it...

Reiha stared at the two with a rather blank look. As if she didn't understand Berial's vivid emtion. She stared at the still snifting boy and then took one step forward, awkwardly, before she wraped her arm around him in a very breif but tight hug.
"I'm okay" she promised him, "Adian never touches me" she nodded quickly. That was something nice about Adian. She didn't want to be touched and he didn't try to force it on her. She knew others might, kids and those who take care of them seem to be always touching whens he watched TV but she really didn't like it. She could walk on her own, she didn't need anyone's help.

Berial's arms wrapped tightly around Reiha. He had been scared and worried.. He just nodded into her shoulder.. "if something was hurting you.. you.. you'd tell me, right?" He asked..
Erik stood and watched this.. How.. how could such small children be talking about somethign so dark? His eyes rested on them, before movement caught his eyes. Berial's mark was moving, creeping, pulsing with a sort of life..

Reiha still seemed confused at the affection so of course, she patted his back awkwardly as she nodded, "Of course Berial, I promise." and Reiha ment it. She always kept a promise, but how hard can it be to tell him if she was hurt? Especially if it made him feel better. "But I'm fine Berial. Honestly. Korbin protects me" she reminded him, glancing over to the bird who fluffed his feathers proudly.
Korbin watched the whole thing with intrest too. Though he fluffed his feathers when emntioend his eyes was on Berial. Humans were pretty bad actor's in the bird's opionan, and that seemed very, very real. Then he noticed the mark, how it moved. How odd...He would have to keep a watch on that. That might hurt Reiha after all.

Berial sniffled and pulled away, nodding, before looking over at the bird.. He was scared, terrified of some unknwon danger overcoming Reiha.. He watched Korbin for a moment before turning back to Reiha and nodding one last tiem.. "Korbin's strong.. I trust him.." He mumbled..
Erik watched as the amrks kept moving, he knelt down so that he could be at the level of the children.. "Berial? I.. are you feeling ok?"
Berial looked over at his guardian and he nodded slowly.. He didn't feel sick, or hurting.. He jsut felt scared...

"Yes, he is, he's very strong" she promised Berial. She wanted him to stop feeling scared, "Come on Berial, I want to show you something fun" she said softly, grabing his hand and pulling him to the door. "Want to play a game? It's really fun" Reiha's voice was soft and kind to him, trying to make him forget all about that fear. All about Reiha getting hurt.
Korbin fluttered after them, glancing back to Erik, and in an odd moment of carring, he flaped his wings till Erik was looking at him and then he nodded to the kids and outside. Korbin would watch over them, so Erik wouldn't have to worry. Of course Erik could come if he wanted too but Korbin could watch out for them alot better than Erik. Korbin could see at night.

Berial's mark slowed in its changing s Reiha grasped his hand.. He nodded softly.. "What.. kind of game?" He asked, a bit of eagerness peeking through his small tone.
Erik sighed, pushing his hand onto his temple before looking over at Korbin.. He didn't fully understands the birds message, but he understood enough.. "I.. I can't see very well int he dark.. if.. if you see his mark moving.." He trailed off.. Call him? How could the bird call him? He was sure Korbin was a brilliant bird, but Erik didn't speak crow.

"It's call find the picture" she told him with a big smile. She wanted him to be smiling again, and no longer scared. She pulled the door open and pointed up to the star studded sky. "There are lots of pictures in the sky, we are going to try to find some of those pictures" she told him, smiling at him happily. She was going to get him to smile and be happy again, then she wouldn't feel so bad for making him so scared.
"Got it" Korbin cawed, that meant nothing to Erik but it was the noise that was the important part. It was clearly he understood what Erik said so he would simply let out a call if Erik was needed, or even if he wasn't. If Korbin attacked he tend to do it loudly. He wasn't an assasin, he was a loud bloody scavanger.
