There isnt enough vegetables on the planet to feed every person on the earth, if humans were to stop eating meat altogether then people would either be starving to death or the goal would be lost because we would have to kill nearly every herd mammal on the planet to find more room to grow vegetables, and then because the animals are not there to recycle the earth the ground would grow stale and eventually vegetables would either not grow or they would be less nutritious which would be bad on our bodies, ultimately the destruction or beat-down of the planet earth and the demise of humanity and other land creatures. :]

If the world were to suddenly adopt a vegetarian or vegan diet there would be a big problem.
However if there is a gradual change towards a vegetarian or better still vegan diet, there would be less land needed to grow food to feed the world. This is a widely accepted fact.
This means there will be more land abaliable for native habitats to grow. Native habitats greatly add to the worlds biodiversity and help keep the earth at equilibrium.
Then what will we do about the population of animals?

People are vegetarians usally because they love animals, but there are people who love animals but still eat meat because they are less of an extremist then others.
It's okay to be a vegetarian it's not anything bad whatsoever

And the most important reason why I became a vegetarian is when I heard that more than 7 billion animals die yearly for human consumption. That just breaks my heart.

And what about all the vegetables that are killed for human consumption?

That's about what I said in my post.

I think the most wonderful part about it is that I have been able to connect to nature upon a spiritual level, most animals when I just sit and enjoy my self while looking at them seem to not notice I am there or know I am and just go about their buisness. I find their presence most refreshing.

Being veggitarion for me has been more then a healthy benifit, but a spiritual benifit to.
I'm glad, its been a good experience for you. Here's just something for the people who are confused on whether to become vegetarian after reading your post. If we both come down with a cold at the same time, and you take triaminic and so do I, we might not get the same results. Who knows, tylenol might do me good instead.
o.O What does that have to do with what I said?

The ability to show compassion and empathy is the greatest gift we as humans have, not to be bounded by our race, but to be shown to all.
If we are confronted by an alien race that have inteligence far greater than ours, I only hope they treat us better we treat dolphins and pigs...

It means, being a vegetarian might be good for you, but maybe it might not work for the next person.

As demand decreases so does the the potential profit in the meat or creulty (sorry couldn't resist sweatdrop ) industry, farms will closed down the animals in the farms will be killed and processed and land will be sold.
There will be more land avaliable since its requires almost 6kg of plant material to get 1kg of meat.
This means more land avaliable that may lead to the decrease of land prices and/or the increase of the worlds carrying capacity.
Less wastes produced by meat factories and farms 3nodding

All I say is become Vegetarian, or Vegan for the right reasons, and don't bring your beliefs onto other people, definetly if you're not willing to listen to their side.

If you are implying what i think you are... (please correct me if im wrong smile )

A vegetarians or vegans immune system is no weaker than your immune system. If you think there is a difference please cite a scientific journal that says as much.

If you are referring to the small amount of people who don't eat meat and do a poor job of keeping a balanced diet, i only need to point to the morbidly obese people who eat meat.

You're not trying to say that I'm forcing my opinion on others are you mad ? If you are then you are so damn sadly mistaken.

Only a very small percent of people can't live on a vegetarian diet.

If veges don't work for you, its cool, I can understand if you don't want to give up all the benefits of a diet that includes meat.
I used to hate eating anything green and flavour was my number one priority, i refused to eat vegetables given to me at dinner.

I'm not saying I can't do that. I'm just saying I prefer a balanced diet that includes everything.
