"Old Miyavi" more like young Miyavi.
first of all Miyavi is one of those artists , or possibly the only one i know , that has so much versatility, and secondly I don't think anyone in here knows him personally. Third of all, how can you be a miyavi fan and not like his change in genres? I mean now hes going from Pop to House and he played a new song at jrock revolution, I thought it was awesome and it was pretty old school mixed with the kind of stuff he likes to do which is guitar rhythm battles, and a little hip hop, Miyavi has too much talent and potential to keep to one thing.
besides you would know that he did an interview, well in Shoxx my friend translated it for me and it said that he wanted to play pop first which was more excepted music , so he can gain a bigger audience, and that after that phase was over he can do whatever he likes with his music because he's got composer's control (he can do whatever he wants with his music), does that solve your case?

Both ^^ I disagree about Diru... as for Miyavi, I like him any which way. And if any more of his interview will be out here, in English, can it get its own thread? I am working on translating it myself, and don't want to read any of it here.

Miyavi's maybe mellowing down some but I mean he will have to one day. I mean he still spazzes a little here and there.
Anything he does music wise I will probably love. His new stuff kicks a**!

One of the reasons I love Miyavi is because he doesn't allow himself to stay in one genre. I hate when artists make the same style of music over and over again. And as for being less of a spazz...well I think he's finally finding his place in the entertainment world and just doesn't feel like spazzing out as much (although he still does sometimes, which I love). I agree with the others that say he's growing up. After all he's still so young.

Thank you, Sessho, my friend. smile They really, truly are. I've only been into them since February, but I just completely adore and admire them. That's true. I think he's just maturing. not that I'm saying he was ever immature. 3nodding It does.

I like my Miyavi any way. 3nodding He's still pretty young, maybe he doesn't even know exactly who he is yet. And it'd be kinda boring if he stayed the same throughout his whole career. Spazzy, slightly hyperactive Miyavi was cute and fun, but the more mature, mellow Miyavi is quite sexy heart heart And I guess he realized he had to act a little more mature now that he's in S.K.I.N. Can you imagine him rocketing around Gackt, Yoshiki, and Sugizo? They'd kill him xp

Heck, I'm older than he is, and I am still figuring myself out. I didn't when I was younger for reasons I won't say.

Oh, and I've got to dissagree with that comment about Dir en grey. They still sound awesome to me. *Awesome enough for me to buy tickets to their DOZING GREEN tour with 45 euros =__= What a salty price for just one ticket, oki this is a bit off the topic stare *

I still think we're forgetting that everyone ages you can't keep Miyavi in stuck in ONE thing forever it's not in his nature.
I'm happy as long as he's still making music and he still stays himself, he may be a little refrained but too many people look at him and not his music and I think both of those are important to him.
He's matured a little bit more he's hanging out with A-list Japanese musicians...that would change anyone, but Miyavi's decided to try something new with his music it's a risk but we all seem to be taking it pretty good...so where's old Miyavi? Technically old Miyavi is right before your eyes, now YOUNG Miyavi...that was back in the days when he just started sure he was cute, but he's hot now, get it?

Miyavi is Miyavi 3nodding and I am a fan of Miyavi. I love all his styles, and I don't think there's a song that I DON'T like. The way Miyavi is being versatile with his music is great! He's maturing, like we all are in a way. 3nodding
Now he's rocking out with Gackt, Sugizo, and Yoshiki. I mean, how cool is that?
