"Well, we'll soon find out I suppose." Yei mused as she slipped in to the encampment, pulling a face as she felt the battered lands beneath her feet. In their attempt to make their strange houses they had inadvertantly wrecked the landscape and she was less than impressed with that - the grass was much more comfortable to walk on, and prettier to look at.
Nevertheless, she only paused for a brief moment to regather her thoughts and carrying her head high she proceeded forward, ensuring that the feathers in her mane and tail, as well as the jewel around her neck were clearly visible - if anyone tried to take her then they'd be well awre that at least one two-legger would be mighty angry.
Luckily for her, being so tall she found that it was surprisingly easy to see over many of the two-leggers heads, it was only when she had to look down that there appeared to be a problem. What in the world were they looking at? She could only throw guesses around her head mentally and with a snort, canting her head to the side inquisitively while exchanging a perturbed glance with a small child beside her.
...Why was it's mouth open, was it going to eat her?

As they had drawn closer, it got much easier to see over these two leggers heads. Curiosity had peeked his interest slightly. Wondering what had cause all this chaos had drawn him in. Was it something unnatural to these people? God, he had to know.
He followed closely to Yei, watching her out of the corner of his eye but still keeping the two leggers in his vision for the most part. The dirt underneath his hooves shuffled lightly as he moved, stirring it up a bit.
Peering over the two leggers, he looked down. An eyebrow raised quickly as he spotted the small thing. What seemed to be a smaller version of these two leggers. A child? Seemed so. What exactly was with that expression on it's face? Giveing a snort, he furrowed his eyebrows as he stared at it.

"PONY!" It squealed delightedly in a tongue that was even more foreign to her than the Kawani tongue, "Pony!" It repeated, waving a chubby finger towards her to the point that more than one of the foreigners turned round to gaze at Mozen and herself...well they weren't exactly the traditional pale-faced soquili, now were they?
Flattening her ears against her head, she gave a whicker and calmly backed away to indicate that she would rather keep her personal space, but, much to her displeasure the child had other things as it gave another gurgle and ran towards her leg.
Now, if she kicked it, they would hurt her.
"Get it off!" She whinnied in alarm, backing away to the point that she rather unceremoniously bumped into Mozen in an attempt to keep the tiny two legger away from her.
In fact, she was so distracted by the young child that she failed to notice the somewhat rugged two-legger that had been surrounded by the colonists - an outlaw, or so it seemed.

Mozenrath's ears perked as the small two legger squealed and yelled out. Both eyebrows raising as it ran towards Yei. He shifted slightly as she bumped into him, though in a quick movement he was out of the way.
Lowering his head slightly, he grasped the little child by the shirt collar with his teeth to hold him in place. That way Yei could get herself out of the situation if she wanted to. It would of been in his right mind to toss the child aside, but then that might grab the attention of the other two leggers around, and they really didn't need anymore attention on them than there already was.
Giveing a soft snort from his nostrils, it ruffled the childs hair. Lifting his eyes, he looked at Yei who seemed to be more uncomfortable in this situation than him. A little shocked at the sudden attention from the child, even. Perhaps she just wasn't as used to two leggers as he was really. Either way, detaining the child for now seemed a bit more important. This way, Yei wouldn't loose her cool.
Lifting the child up, he turned his head and plopped him onto his back, not really careing if his robes were mussed up for the moment by this child being up on his back, before turning his attention back to the crowd of two leggers. More interested in what these more grown ones were doing. And what had truely caused the initial alarm amungst them. A rugged looking two legger seemed to be their focus. How interesting. What was it that this one had done?

What Mozen proceeded to do with the child fascinated her, it silenced the moment it was on his back and seemed more intent on stroking his robes than it was in squealing at the top of its lungs. How peculiar...It almost made it seem endearing and it definately made Mozen seem suitably more approachable than he had been, at least he was able to take some form of initiative!
Still, having regained her composure she did flick her gaze towards the rugged male who, now that the crowd were distracted, seemed to be creeping away from the scene. He wasn't doing a particularly good job of it though, as Yei gave a whicker and canting her head to the side, the clinking of the coins in the pouch at his belt clearly audible.
"Where's he going?" She asked to no one in particular, forcing a snort of hot air from her nose as her steely grey eyes followed after him. He was big enough, so how in the name of goodness were they missing him? He wasn't invisible to them!
"Hmm..." Tossing her head and leaving Mozen to deal with the child she calmly stepped forward once more and trailed after the two-legger, who did would probably be less than thankful for the company of a bright red mare...

Thank the gods that this child had finally shut up. It's insessive squealing had just about drove him batty. He ignored the petting for the moment, his head turning to glance at Yei.
As she moved after the strange two legger who was slipping away, he raised an eyebrow breifly. Where on earth was she going? Just great, he was stuck here...with the two leggers and this child on his back. Just...great. Now what?
Giveing a slight sigh, he looked around momentarily before he started to trot off. Well, he might as well explore while he was here. And perhaps the small child on his back would make him look a bit less suspicious than a lone Soquili wandering through these two leggers home. But he'd still keep an ear open for anything that might need attending to.

As Yei continued to trail after the pale-faced two-legger she completely forgot about Mozen and the squealing child. Her curiosity would eventually be the death of her but for now she was more concerned about finding out where he was heading to than she was about her own safety - not the most intelligent of mindsets if viewed in such a way.
Nevertheless, Mozen's assumption that the child on his back would make him look less suspicious was right. The pale-faced ones seemed to deem him as docile and pleasant as he seemed prepared to humour the toddler. In fact, they seemed so comfortable with him (despite his odd clothes) that they were less than concerned with his decision to explore.
...There did happen to be a foreign soquili that was though.
"Should you really be leaving her with him?" The stallion piped up from his water trough.

Mozenrath continued on his way around the encampment. Takeing in the sights and smells. It kind of reminded him of home, almost. The way they had little shops lined along the streets, vendors running around. It was all quite interesting.
His dark eyes scanned the few two leggers who would approach him curiously but then in a split second they would turn the other way and continue on their way.
This place was odd and yet slightly familiar. Hmmm. Interest started to peek even more as he continued on. The small child still clinging to his back. He could feel the occasional pets and pats through his robes but didn't pay them much mind.

Pfft! The foreign steed was less than impressed by the clothed stallion's manners. He had tried to warn the stallion about the danger now surrounding his female companion and instead, the bloody pale coated equine had continued on walking! He gave a small 'huff' of distaste at this and flicked his gaze towards the now vanishing fiery tail of the female.
...Ah well, another one bit the dust eh?
Chomping on his bit, the stallion simply arched a brow and observed the oddball soquili for a while longer before deciding that he might as well take another dig at the entity - well, he had nothing better to do!
"I hope ye said yer goodbyes."

His ears perked slightly as the sudden voice reached his ears. Being too lost in his own curiosity, he hadn't payed much attention to any of these New World Soquili that were around.
Comeing to a hault in his tracks, he turned his head and looked at the stallion. Eyebrows raised curiously. "And why would I need to say my goodbyes?" His tail flicked back and forth slowly as he measured up this other stallion silently before turning and takeing a few steps towards him, ignoreing the child on his back for the moment.

So the stallion could listen, it really did seem that these strange clothed soquili needed to spoken to at least twice in order for them to understand the accents of the European soquili - actually, if the stallion was entirely honest he wasn't really surprised, he did have a reasonably thick accent and even his mate struggled to understand him!
"Well..." Pursing his equine lips, the male considered his approach to the situation carefully. It was a delicate matter, especially when it involved a foreign soquili encountering his european two-leggers, how was he meant to present the information without the clothed one going mad?
Bluntly.
"That two-legger eats horses." He pointed out flatly.

Both of Mozenrath's eyebrows lifted quickly, almost too quickly to where they might of fallen off his face. If eyebrows could fall off one's face, that is. Giveing a slight snort, he gave this strange stallion a sideways glance. He had heared of two leggers eating Soquili....but...not this far west on the globe. More towards the south in the hotter areas of this world.
"You're kidding." His tail lashed back and forth for a moment as he glanced back at the child on his back. "Well, even so....good luck to it trying to eat me. " At this point and time, he started to wonder where Yei had gotten to. Perhaps he'd ditch this kid and go look for her, he'd had enough sight seeing for one day.

"Yeah..." The male seemed bemused by the clothed-soquili's surprise and, due to this fact, made it his duty to simply worsen the situation. If anything, it may promote some form of entertainment in the long term - maybe have the clothed one squishing the heathen underneath his hooves, to be swallowed up by the kalona.
"They're funny, those two-leggers...my tao-legger commands them like dogs but recently, they've started eating -" Before he could finish, a loud shriek rippled across the colony, it wasn't a human though and was more of a high-pitched whinny of alarm.
...That was followed by a rather dulled thump...
"Oh, maybe he already ate her." The stallion mused, sounding remotely disappointed.

His ears perked in alarm to the sound of the high-pitched whinny. Something's up and he wasn't the cause of it. How disheartening. Giveing the strage Soquili a quick glance, he trotted off quickly in the direction of the noise, not giveing the child seated on his back another though for the moment. Whatever commotion it was....it didn't seem to be good.
The trott turned into a gallop as he raced back down the street towards the direction Yei had gone. Stupid mare, probably got herself into some kind of trouble. He sighed lightly as he ran, his cape flowing behind him. Suddenly, he slid across the ground as his gallop turned into a canter as he kept moveing.

Well yes, the mare was in trouble but that didn't mean she couldn't take care of herself and instead of being backed into a corner, she had in fact, given her attackers a rather quick quick to the chest and had send them careening into a mound of barrels. One was still concious, moving ever so slightly but the other seemed to have been knocked out on collision - possibly hit his head.
"Hmph." Yei's eyes narrowed and her ears flattened against her head as she stared at the two, less than impressed by their attempts to wrap a rope around her neck. No two-legger was ever allowed to do that to her, she didn't need a rope to know where she had to go!
...And those shiny grey stones didn't look very appealing either.
"Try that again and I'll knock your heads off!" She whinnied threateningly.
