Mirko...you silly, silly person.

Bah, I didn't even get to my first time sparring. Well, I don't really remember, haha. It was TKD sparring, so it wasn't all that memorable. I do, however, remember my first time sparring in Muay Thai....what a mess that was, haha. Well it wasn't a total mess, but it definately showed me all the bad habits I picked up from WTF TKD.

My first time sparring was in boxing and I fell utterly in love with it. (Helps that my opponent was eye candy! Joking Joking guys!)

But yes, I remember after getting hit on the nose, the temple, etc, we decided to not to go for the head. I haven't done too much sparring, since then simply because the pportunity never came, but I know I still have a problem protecting my head. I forget to and concentrate too much on the chest. (Yes, I need to protect my twins...>.>)

Need to protect the twins...you know...in reference to getting kicked in the nuts for men, and in the chest for women.

I remember my first sparring match. It was against my uncle and the guy is ripped. He got me into Martial arts and he ******** lifts furniture for a living, so he powered through me like I was nothing. I got knocked out so quickly. It was awesome. The adrenaline was pumping and it taught me how aggressive to be.

I need to refine my aggresiveness, I am not agressive at all unless it's an actual fight. Sparring-wise I tend to go all technical and just lie on the floor trying to analyze the situation and eventually get on the opponent's back or get a good armbar.

After you learn to be agressive, you the need to learn how to control the amountof aggressiveness you put out. I remember in one of my sparring matches early on, I was too agressive that I didn't think straight and I ended up passing out from a headlock. Once you're really agressive, it'll take a little while to learn how to balance logical thoughh and agressiveness, but it can be done.

That's the reason I stick to being logical. I just want a dose more of aggresiveness, mainly for standing and shooting in properly, last time I sparred I did a really weak shoot and since he locked me, I kinda let him bring me down instead as I was gonna go nowhere at this point trying to bring him down. I did a good job locking him down and ensuring he didn't go anywhere, but I wasted like five minutes trying to get a submission, as he pulled away from me, I grabbed his arm, put my feet at his neck and got an armbar. As he was coming down I let go gonk I still don't know how that happened but we agreed to a draw at the end.

hmm yeah sucks to see your favorite fighter lose. When I saw the vid of Saku vs. Royce I was like "nuuuuuuuuu", thus far Royce happens to be my favorite. Out of his official record I am only missing one vid of one of his fights, and I got a video of when DeLucia challenged Royce and got owned.
As for myself, well I keep on thinking up wicked ideas of how to take people into submission, but I don't get enough chances to put them to practice.

My first sparring match was at my first TKD tournament, I got axe kicked in the shoulder and started crying, this was when I was 6. Ever since my opponent have had a very hard time beating me, especially in stand.
