She hadn't really given much thought to her changes lately. She knew the few things that she'd told him, but other than that, there'd been no signs she would change. So, she'd decided to think that perhaps she simply -wouldn't- change.
"Originally, or where did I live before I came here?" she asked, grinning, "I was born in Vietnam, but adopted before I was a few months old and lived in the US the entirety of my life after that. San Francisco area, to be exact."

"Wow, another person with a more colourful background than me," he chuckled. "British born and bred, as if you couldn't already tell."
Feeling rather quite silly just floating around Aislinn's duplex, he trod carefully as he made his way over to her bed and perched on the end of it. It creaked slightly under his weight.
"So...err...what were you doing before you ended up here?" he asked quickly, trying to cover up the sound of the poor bed.

Aislinn smiled, "I think the accent sort of gave you away, there," she teased, punching him lightly on the shoulder, "I actually was in veterinary school. I've already got my bachelors, but to be more than an assistant, you have to get a doctor of veterinary medicine, and I was planning on going further than that so that I could continue helping my mother at the zoo."
She shuddered, "Though, I'm still antsy around larger animals. "
Aislinn was certainly not one of those personal people that liked to keep the details of her life to herself.

"Ah, so you're an animal person? I guess this is the right place for you then," he said, smiling awkwardly with the irony.
He could understand her being 'antsy' around larger beasts. One of the constant worries plaguing his mind was that of predators on the Island. He could only remember snippets from the Halloween party, but he was sure there had been beasts of tooth and claw.
"You probably wouldn't think it to look at me, but I've studied at University. I just never passed," he laughed.

She laughed, "I didn't have much choice but to be an animal person. My mom worked for the vet and my dad was a first-class dressage rider. They both loved animals and made sure we-- that is, my siblings and I-- were around them all the time,"
She tilted her head thoughtfully, then laughed at his mention of University, "You do look like more of a sportsman than a scholar, no offense. I'm more of a sportswoman, myself."
She'd mostly done non-contact sports, though. Jogging, gymnastics for a year or two, that sort of deal. Stuff she could do by herself-- she was too competitive for teamwork most of the time, and tended to stress others out with her own personal perfection.

"Hehe, this is why I'm glad my dad never wanted me or my siblings to follow in his footsteps - he's one of the country's leading heart surgeons. I couldn't study medicine for seven or more years," he shrugged.
"So what do you have then? I have one older brother and one younger sister."
Oz reclined on the bed slightly, resting his weight on the palms of his hands, forcing his muscular shoulders to bulk up even further. He shuffled his feet idly.

Aislinn settled next to him, sipping casually at her drink. No need to get trashed this time, "An older brother, Liam, and my two little sisters, Aileen and Rosaleen. My parents are Irish, so they gave us all Irish names even though Liam's the only one of us who is."
She laughed, "I've already been in for six years myself," she pondered his words, "And I'm still due for more. 'Course part of it I was in the hospital and I'm not sure if that time counts."

"Ugh, don't get me started on names. My brother and sister sound so normal, its like my parents just couldn't be bothered with mine," he laughed.
He just suddenly flopped backwards onto the bed, staring up at the ceiling and resting his hands on his pudgy stomach. He actually had a nice view of Aislinn's bum from here too.
"I think you have a nice name," he commented, rather randomly.

She laughed, "it's not a bad name. Just difficult to make nicknames for sometimes. That's why most of the time my friends would just come up with their own." she reached up to play with her hair, "Tangerine was most popular when I left. I think it's the colour," She grinned.

Oz was rambling on and on about junk. Usually a sign he was under stress. He had been known to act very childish and find amusement in the smallest things after he'd reached his threshold for stress. And obviously, he'd reached that threshold.
"Hahah! Tangerine! Its like those adverts 'You know when you've been Tango'ed," he laughed, his belly wiggling with laughter. "My nicknames are obvious and therefore boring."
He looked up at Aislinn, admiring her for a few moments longer. He much liked the idea that he and Aislinn were the last humans on the Island and they'd have to repopulate it. Would be very fun indeed. If it was real.
"I'm probably messing up some plans of yours," he said idly, only now feeling that he had maybe pushed himself on poor Aislinn.

Aislinn shrugged. Normally she'd have been out of the suit and into some proper pants already, but she liked the way he was admiring her, and really didn't want to change just yet, "Ah, no. There's really not a whole lot to do on the island," she smiled, "You must have some amazing nicknames with the name Oz. Ozzybear?"
She laughed, "I'm sorry. You just remind me of my ex, and I always said he was such a teddybear."

"If I remind you of your ex, I have no chance then do I?" he smirked, glancing at Aislinn with a coy look. "And I think its enevitable - they're going to turn me into a real teddybear."
If he could have £1 for every time he'd been called a teddybear, he wouldn't need to be in rehab, thats for sure. And he could think of a few things to do, but he didn't know Aislinn well enough for that. At least not yet.

Aislinn laughed, "Not exactly. I only broke up with him because I didn't want him to have to deal with all my surgeries and physical therapy and stuff after the accident. It was pretty stupid of me, but it made sense at the time,"
She shrugged. She still loved the guy, but she'd never really thought of going back to see if he'd take her again. Going backwards just wasn't Aislinn's way, and she hadn't been that serious about it anyhow.
"Really? how do you know they are?" she was curious, as she had no idea what she was going to turn into.

"Well, he was a lucky guy whilst he had you," he smiled to her pleasantly. He tried to ease up on the flirting, but 6 months out of action is bound to make any guy playful.
Oz lurched himself up into a sitting position, resting his hands on his knees. He rolled the left leg of his jeans back down, using that as another excuse to look at Aislinn's legs.
"Well, I don't know for sure. I don't really want to know," he grumbled. "But I have the padding to be a teddybear."

She grinned, "Well, there are plenty of other big creatures too, that you could be turned into. Or small ones. Wouldn't it be funny to be, say, a gopher?"
Aislinn set the towel over her bed and sat down on it. She didn't want to get the covers wet-- her bathing suit wasn't quite dry yet, but she felt like sitting down next to the big guy, "He's probably better off now. I wasn't ready to settle, and he was getting there."
