it would be good for people who critises the graphics to see the true beauty of the plot and charecters,
it always annoyed me how the charecters had no mouth sad so would be good to see that
as long as they dont change the plot or the originality of the game then there is no harm

I wouldn't really mind it on the PS3.
I've not much of an opinion on it but
it'd be intresting on how it would turn out.
I'd...sorta look forward
to her death though.
To see if there's anything
special in it. Or if it looks much
better than the original.
Since, her death looked like
sticking a stick into
a blob of jello.

At first I thought a remake of FF7 was a stupid idea but the more I got to thinking about it the more I started to like it. Now I think they should definitely remake FF7. I really liked the change in character personalities in AC (Except for Clouds). I thought they all acted a bit cheesy in the game in comparison to AC, especially Sepiroth and Aeris. I also hope that they keep a majority of the dialog and story line the same if they decide to remake it. Lastly I defiantly think they should have the original FF7 come with the new one because once they make a new one I don't think to many people will want to buy the original.

i believe the game should be remade, the storyline and everything should be kept the same but the graphics really hold the game back

i think they should do it as long as they dont change the game.
it was the best game i ever played but if you increased the sound and video qualities it would be better.
and i would buy it.
but not right away.
oh and make it so you can replay that cool hill minigame that was the best razz

I agree, I think they should remake it for PS3 except keep the story line the way it is. If they could make it so that there was a fort condor arcade game in the golden saucer that would be great!!! Also, If Square Enix were to think about it, PS3 is going to be one of the newest systems out there. If they were to remake the game think about all the people who would buy it!!! It may be expensive but there are a lot of final fantasy, particularly VII, fans out there that would buy it for their collection etc. Honestly, I would buy it just to play it again and say I did. biggrin

ok if they did deside to remake it i think it would be a new greatest hit but howerver fore hard core fans of the original that beleave the graphics wher very good fore the time espesialy shown in the cut cenes and played the story 12 times when i first got it and only got to 100% with all matirea with wepons and even leveled aris up to 99 knowing she was gona die i think it would be blasphamy but if they did i would probobly play it 12 more times but in the event they beter not change anything septin them graphics if that and leav the original cut cenes so yea

sabaal Maybe for the PC, but not the PS3. I'd never buy a $600 system for one game, especially if I already have the old-school version. 3nodding One game huh? Final Fantasy XIII is going to be on PS3, I guess you wouldn't want to add that in either. I'm totally up for the remake off FFVII. Keep the Final Fantasy VII spirit alive! Though I half want the game to exist in our generation only.... xd It'd definitely attract a larger fanbase. There was a lot of people who haven't played FFVII, who watched FFVII: AC and not understand it at all. Maybe the remake might solve that problem as well. wink That'd give 'em a chance to be true fans of FFVII like us. dramallama

i would have to say no. i enjoy the game far too much to see a whole new horde of fans become lovers of the game just because of the graphics. in my opinion, PLAY THE ORIGINAL BASTARDS! leave it as it is, it is a monument in gaming in its original, if they remade it, it would just be another game... and that would really hit true fans hard. but i would buy it too if it came out for ps3 sweatdrop but no, i think they should leave it alone... way to valuble to hand out to newbie fans... i still enjoy the graphics ><

Here is what i'd like to see in a remake.
Advent Children quality graphics.
More side-quests. Option to play whoever you want, if you wanted to play as barret as the lead, let it be that way.
Fully customizable. The ability to let cloud weild two duel blades. Keep the materia system but maybe upgrade it in a few ways.
Same combat system, just maybe no random encounters.
Upgrade the soundtrack into orchasterical quality/remixes.
Keep the storyline the same, because the storyline was perfect.
And for the record I would personally buy a PS3 painted with the FFVII logo on it bundled with FFVII: remake and FFVII: AC special edition for like 800$

Yes. FF7 for the PS one was the best game ever made for that system. I think I played that game more than two or three times, trying to get everything and master everything in the game. The materia skills, levels, ect.
It also had an interesting plot, twists and turns. Although it had a basic theme of good vs evil thing, as all RPGs have, but this one was unique in many ways.
