"Agreed," Miyu said as she bolted in the opposite direction from the black pony.
Raye knew that would be the best thing at the moment, but she had to know if Miyu was okay. "Did it work? Did I stop the kidnapper?"
His head turned at the sound of voices and his eyes narrowed as they locked onto the baby ponies running from him.

"Woah!" DJ shouted as three smaller ponys bolted past him. "What's going on?"
"We're running the other way now!" Suzume shouted back.
"Oh!" DJ skidded and bounded off a rock to get himself turned around.

Once he was sure his body could handle it, the vampire galloped after them.
Miyu kept running until she got to Raye, then nudged the teen with her nose. "Come on, Raye. Get up! We have to get moving!"
The burgundy pony groaned and tried ot sit up, but ended up slumping back to the ground. The mental strain had taken more of a toll on her than she expected.

"She's not doing too well," Kana told the others as they caught up.
"Not good..."
"Well we can't leave her here," DJ threw a quick look over his shoulder. "And we've got company."
"Then we make our stand here," Ziyala said simply turning to face the dark assailant.

By now, he wasn't going to pick and choose. He'd take what he could. And right now, that seemed to be the telepath who still seemed to be recovering from her attack. An exhausted victim wouldn't be able to run away.
"D-do you really think we can take him?" Miyu asked nervously, staying by Raye's side.

"Does it look like we have any other choice?" Ziyala demanded standing her ground.
Kana whimpered, wishing her parents were there with them.
"Of course we can take him," Suzume said firmly looking back at Kana and Miyu, though she wasn't sure of the truth of her words. She turned and stood beside Ziyala, "So what's the plan?"
"I was thinking something along the lines of don't get caught," Ziyala whispered back.
Suzume surpressed a groan as she rolled her eyes, "That makes me feel so much better..."

The black pony approached the group and stopped just a few feet away. His red eyes flashed dangerously. "Leave the telepath behind and I won't hurt the rest of you."
Miyu huddled closer to Raye, scared for her sisterly friend.

"You know, the funny thing is, he says it like he actually thinks we're going to do it..." Suzume muttered under her breath as she let a glare of death fall on the dark pony.
"You're in no position to be making demands," Ziyala declared taking one step forward. "You're out numbered and outmatched."
"Yeah!" DJ called edging up beside Suzume. "So leave while you still can!"

So, they want to do this the hard way. After a moment of silence, he charged toward the closest pony.

Ziyala simply reacted, charging forward to meet the dark pony head on.
Suzume rolled her eyes. That's right, because charging in head first is always the best way to handle things... she thought with a slight sense of deja vu.

When the vampire contacted with the dark blue pony, he stopped her with his head and roughly shoved her to the side.
Miyu watched the scene with worry. Ziyala!
Eyes closed, Raye could only hear everything around her, which didn't help her headache very much. But the pain seemed to be gradually alleviating, which was a good sign.

Ziyala winced as she felt the impact between her body and the tree. She groaned softly as she fell to the ground.
"Great..." Suzume muttered. "Sparky, what are you waiting for?" she demaned of DJ who was just standing there like an idiot.
"Sorry," DJ muttered sending little bursts of fire at the dark pony. He quickly discovered his aim was much improved at close range.

The dark pony tried dodging as many sparks as he could, but found it difficult. Several burned him in different places, one getting close to his eye. He stopped and shook his head furiously, trying to keep the ember from falling into his eye.
Raye slowly opened her eyes, her vision blurry. She could feel her body recovering. That's good. When I'm strong enough, I'm going to give him another piece of my mind...
Miyu watched Raye as her eyes opened and breathed a sigh of relief. She seemed to be getting better.
