Abbey smiled thoughtfully at Jizzy and Chao as she waited for the cookies to come out of the oven. As the oven door opened, she indulged in the aroma of the freshly baked dough, before she helped herself to a cookie, murmuring a quiet, "Thank you very much."

She took a bite without hesitating and relished the taste. She hadn't had good homemade food in awhile, let alone cookies. The girl had an uncharacteristic sweet tooth. "It's delicious," she commented candidly.

No doubt about it, living in a half-empty village was weird. Or was that half-full? Wyvern pondered the implications of that. Yep, she definately liked "half-empty" better, not because she was a pessimist (though she did tend to be morose at times), but because half-empty implied the feelings of loneliness and discomfort that she felt as she walked among the not-quite abandoned houses. After all, someone had to have lived there and left before they could be considered abandoned.

Also, nobody ever drowned in a half-empty bathtub; just the half-full ones. Her lips quirked at that.

More plodding steps along her meandering path (had she passed that house before? probably; everything looked so similar on the outside) eventually led her to her destination: the lodge. After playing the hermit in her house for a while, Wyv decided it was time to be neighborly. The clink of her jars was reassuring and she slipped a hand in her satchel just to hold the glass containers. Right, she had a reason to do this- these would be her blue-otter's friends and family. Best to start getting to know people now.

That, and something smelled really good.

She entered noisily- something about unscuffed floors annoyed her and she planned to remedy that.

(( Edited 'cause I can't stand my own misspellings. >< ))

Jizzy heard the door open and smiled. More friends! She pulled back her chair, and pushed up her glasses. She seemed to do taht a lot, it was just a comforting movemnet for her. She peaked out at the person outside and waved at them.

"Cookies in the kitchen, Feel free to have some!"

She shouted out, before returning to the kitchen. She picked up the bowl and tray she ahd used to make the cookies and moved them over to the sink and began to clean the, making sure not to waste the water. She was yet to have one of her own cookies, but it was ussually like this. She rarely ever ate what she cooked, she prefered to elt other people enjy it.

Chao simply nodded as Abbey added her compliments, contenting herself to take small bites of her cookie.

At the sounds of another Guardian entering the Lodge she couldn't help but shake her head slightly. "Magnet of the baking world," she repeated, somehow making the words sound darkly ominous before turning her attention to Jizzy, "want me to dry them Jizzy?" she asks, motioning to the dishes the other girl was currently washing as she grabbed a nearby towel and walked over to the sink.

"Oh yes," Wyv agreed cheerfully, stomping along to the kitchen. "A magnet indeed. It's like a female trait: the ability to sense chocolate within a 50 mile radius- give or take." She grinned as she pulled up a chair and sat herself down with a graceless thump.

"Yo," she greeted, nodding her head at the gathered group and giving a somewhat forced smiled. Wyv never liked forcing herself on people, she much prefered people to come to her. At least until she got to know them- then, visits at random times were fair game.

"Smells nice. Who's our baker?" she asked, deftly snatching a cooking and cramming the entire thing in her mouth at once.

"Thanks Chao. I'd appreciate that.."

Jizzy said smiling, sounding a bit more mellow that ussual. Cooking relaxedher, that's why she did it so much and she loved seeing people appreciate her cooking. She cooked for others, not for herself.

"The baker would be me.. Wyv.. is it? I think I remember you from the docks.."

She said, smiling and taking a seat with a sigh. She still didn't touch the cookies, she wanted them to have as many as they wanted.

Chao laughed and grabbed another cookie, "I don't know, I've seen some males do percisely the same thing," popping the cookie partway into her mouth and thusly rendering herself unable to comment further, save a nod at Jizzy.

Somehow working it so that she was able to take tiny bites of the cookie, keep the cookie in her mouth and use both her hands in the process of drying she began to dry and put away the various dishes.

"Mmmfph," Wyv swallowed her treat with a loud gulp. "I'd have to say I'm jealous. I've never seen a man with a chocolate sense as finely tuned as that of a woman. But then," she said with grin, "I dunno everybody. And the world's a big place."

She turned her attention back to Jizzy. "Yus, that's me. Wyvern's Scale, at your service. Wyv or Wyvern, if you prefer." She gave a little-half bow, bending as much as her seated position allowed. "You'll have to forgive me, I'm not good with names and/or faces, so I, uh, don't actually remember your names." Wyv made a face expressing her frustration.

Sin had wondered down out of the residential area of the island, and down into the more commerical, if such a place existed, area. She pushed the door to the lodge open, wondering who would be in there.

She popped her head in, "Hello? Anyone here?" She said, faintly smelling cookies.

"It seems like all of us were drawn to my cooking."

Jizzy said with a cheerful glint in her eyes as she heard somone call out. She stood, taking a cookie in her mouth and walked out to be in view of Sin.

"Heylo. Come and join us. The cookies are dissapearing fast though."

She said, smiling broadly.

Sin walked tennatively into the room. "Hey..." She offered her hand. "I'm Sin, we met briefly, but I didn't catch your name."

She glanced around the room. It looked nice, and the kitchen area looked particularily inviting. She shifted from one foot to the other. This place looked comfortable.

Jizzy plopped the rest of the cookie in her mouth and swallowed it as she shook her hand.

"Please to meet ya, Sin. I'm Jizzy."

She smiled and walked over to the table, picking up a cookie then handing it to Sin.

"Try one. They're fresh out of the oven."

"It's very nice to meet you." Sin smiled, pushing her hair out of her eyes. She reached out and took a cookie, not knowing what to expect, because cookies were not an exact science, and she had had many failed cookie expirements.

She sighed, and took a bite. "It's good!" She exclaimed looking at the cooking questioningly. "What's in it?"

"M'Chao," she tries to say around the last bit of cookie in her mouth. Sadly it comes out as "M'mao," as she places the last dish in its proper place and swallows.

"M'Chao," she repeats, more clearly this time and without the cookie blockage, taking a seat back at the table and waving to Sin as she walks in, "heya Sinikins."
