Waya looked a bit surprised as the kid was handed over to him. He was nervous, if Karan so much as wiggled a toe he felt as if he'd drop the boy. Holding him he carefully walked to the couch, wanting to get the boy down on something solid before he crashed down to the ground. Gravity works, Waya didn't want to test it again.

Ballie nodded to DS, pushing the door shut. "Kitchen's this way you know that." She said as she cast a glance at the boys before heading off into the kitchen with DS.

At least sitting was a little better, a little closer to the ground. Karan wiggled, trying to get on the couch, on a level even with the boy. He didn't have to be carted around all the time, and he could prove it! Besides, if he got onto the couch, he could probably get onto the floor all by himself.

Unfortunately, he wasn't able to escape. Why did everyone have to hold him so darned tightly?

"Stop wiggling..." Waya muttered as he lifted the boy up enough to put him down on the large couch. "Stay on the couch and we can play.."

Once he was sure Karan wouldn't fall off the couch if he let go, he'd sit down next to him. He looked from the boy to the TV, then sighed. "You like cartoons?" He asked, changing the channel from his beloved Animal Planet to the local cartoon channel.

Oh, he had one of those funny boxes with the changing pictures. Those were okay, but he didn't like them too much. Sometimes they made his head hurt, and besides, he could see better pictures without one anyway.

Usually when he went visiting the lady brought toys, but not this time, so that meant he got to see the new kid's toys. "Sare pway?"

"Play what?" He asked lightly, drawing both legs up onto the couch Indian style. He'd place his chin in his, elbows on his knees. Where was his attention? Certainly not on the TV.

Glancing over at the boy, he frowned. "I don't have any toys to play with...." At least none he'd let a kid play with and ruin. Bricriu had almost broken the bracelet he got from Cubi and now treasured everything he had.

That was a good question. Usually he had his treasured ball with him, or one of his plushies, or crayons. But this time he just had him, and the new boy didn't seem to have anything either. How disappointing. But then, maybe he just wanted to let Karan pick the game. Hard to do that without any toys, but he could always try.

And if he was allowed to pick anything... "Baa?"

"Baa?" Waya echoed as he tipped his head to the side. He was still learning the baby talk as Israfil was still at that age. Though he rarely did anything with the small boy.

Letting out a sigh Waya wondered if he should get up and go get something. Toys or crayons. Though he didn't want to just leave the boy there on the couch and be yelled at later.

Getting off the couch, and turning the TV off with the remote he offered his hand to Karan. "Come on... We'll go find some toys."

When offered the hand, Karan took it and squeezed tightly. It didn't seem like he was going to get anything else to play with, and he couldn't reach the fluff anymore...

Or could he? A bit of fur was still reachable, and was far more interesting than a hand. Softer, at least. Letting go of the fingers he had grabbed, he reached further and placed both hands firmly on the fur.

Mmm, that felt nice!

Golden eyes rolled skyward as the boy gripped onto the fur. "No.. hand." Waya said, gently taking the boy's hands off his fur, holding one in his hand. A little tug was given, nothing big enough to harm the boy but perhaps enough to encourage him to get off the couch before Waya had to pick him up again.

"We'll go find toys."

Maybe they were going to play after all. Karan quickly slipped his hand out of the older boy's grasp and clapped. "Pway nah!"

He wasn't going to leave, of course. It was big place, and it would take a lot of energy just to get off the couch. Besides, he was tired as it was. So he waited, semi-patiently, for the toys to be brought to him.

Waya bit his lip as he stared at the boy, then cast a glance at the kitchens direction. Tipping back and fourth on his feet in thought, he'd smile a little having an idea. A distraction would keep the boy there long enough for him to run upstairs and not worry.

Taking off his fur cape, he'd plop it over Karan and smile. "Fluffy... Don't go no where, I'll be right back." He said as he pat the top of the boy's head.

Turning he'd quickly go down the hall then up the stairs.

Wow, fluffiness OVERLOAD! Karan squealed excitedly and immersed both his hands in the thick fur. It was so soft, softer than anything he'd ever felt before, except maybe Prana. And there was so much of it! He could fit all of him inside it, so his whole body would feel fluffy, and there'd still be more! Amazing!

He was so entranced that he didn't even notice Waya's exit. Instead, he tried to lift part of the furs over his head. Maybe he really could fit all of him inside!

Up in his room Waya searched around for a toy. Any toy... He didn't have many. Pouting cutely he chewed his lip again, turning and leaving his room. He went down the hall to Bricriu's. He knew the boy had crayons and things.

Knocking once and getting no reply he simply went on in, easily finding the crayons tossed about the floor with coloring books stacked around. "He won't mind..." he mused, "right?" he asked himself.

Shrugging he grabbed up the crayons and the books, he'd make it up to Bricriu later or something.

He'd carry it downstairs, losing a few crayons along the way. Poor things...

Walking back into the livingroom he smiled as his plan worked, the boy playing with his fur. "Back..." he said lightly, putting the crayons on the middle spot of the couch and sitting across from Karan.

"We can color."

It took a few moments for Karan to realize that someone was talking to him. He had managed to drape the fur over his head, and while he couldn't see anything, it felt so good! But he could hear something, and with some disappointment pulled his head out of the fluff. Oooh, crayons! So the big boy did have toys! And good ones!

The hard part was getting himself free of the fur, not because it was wrapped tightly, but because it felt too good to leave. In the end he decided to leave it wrapped around himself for the most part. Both arms wiggled free, he grabbed the nearest crayon (spring green) and took one of the books.

But what was this? The books all had pictures on them already! And pretty ones! Karan had never seen anything like that before, and his eyes widened in surprise. They looked so beautiful, but the person who drew them forgot to add the color. That was silly, but he would fix it. Grinning, he attacked a picture of an airplane with the crayon, scribbling in each of the cloud shapes. There, that looked better already!

Waya couldn't help but smile at the boy. He reminded him a lot of Bricriu in a way. At least with the fondness to crayons. Bricriu was rarely without his crayons. He still hoped his younger sibling wouldn't mind too much that he had taken them without asking. Ten to one Waya would get some trick pulled on him later for it.

Pulling his legs up onto the couch, he sat indian style as he picked up a book for himself, picking up an orange crayon. He'd flip to a page with a dolphin on it and begin to color the mammal orange. Ok, so maybe it wasn't the right color but at least he stayed in the lines for the most part.
