"yea." she replied. Lily overheard them talking about dancing. Lily nudged Shayna lightly and whispered, "bet Kemuri would be happy if you dance with him." she said with a small giggle and smile.

Shayna blushed a little and snuck a look at Kemuri and Guin. She bit her lower lip and shook her head, "i'm not very good, or more I guess I've never really tried." Shayna loved to listen to music-thankfully or Eamane would have been in quite a bit of trouble- but listening was all she ever really did.

"kemuri never danced either. don't worry. come on..." she said playfully with a giggle. she winked a little wink and nudged her a little politely.
"Kemuri! come escort Shayna over to where you and Guin are playng."Lily said in a gentle tone to Kemuri.
Kemuri looked and put the cat on the chair he was on and replied "okay" to Lily. Kemuri came over and kneeled down next to Shayna's chair. "i'll escort you tonight milady." he said with a hand out.

Shayna burst out laughing, "Well if you both are going to insist..." She took his hand and stood up. "but if I step on your toes it's your own fault" she warned him in a teasing tone. She put her head scarf down on her chair and followed Kemuri.

"it's alright Shayna. it's only for fun." he said with a smile as he started towards where Guin was.
Kemuri headed back to where Guin was as he went and held onto Shayna's soft hand. "hey Guin. again. we can all three dance together." he said with a smile. he hated to be in the center of things so, they could all be at neutral ground.

Shayna was still chuckling as they joined Guin. She grinned at the little witch and inclined her head, "Hello again, my name is Shayna but you can call me Shay if you want." She didn't let go of Kemuri's hand and took Guin's with her other so that she could dance with them.

"we have to wait until Kotatsu gets here with the music player." Kemuri added looking around and then back at the two girls.n things seem to be going good. very good. no one is yelling at each other, no one is trying to drag him away until he is forced to choose. phew. that's good. but then again, the night was young. the night was young.

Guin shook her head. "Noooo, I want to see you dance with Shayna." she said pointedly. "After all, when I meet some wonderful boy I'll need a frame of reference if he asks me to dance." Around Kemuri her comfortableness with him trumped her shyness around Shayna and she seemed much more at ease. Curtsying to Shayna the way she was taught, she said "I'm Guinevere. Nice to meet you!" She then saw Kotatsu coming over with the radio and ran to get it, fiddling around with the tuner to find a good station. "What music should we have?"

"of course you'll meet a nice boy someday. but then, won't you feel lonely just watching us dance?" he asked her in a non-joking but non-serious tone of voice. "you choose what kind of music you like." he said with a smile to the young girl with ribbony wings.

Guinevere looked at Kemuri. "I won't feel lonely, I'll be dancing with Pucci!" The cat's eyes snapped open in horror at this. Switching stations, Guinevere settled on one playing Halloween music. "Come on, Pucci!" she called. The cat made a fast break for it but was caught by the tail. Guinevere smiled. "Won't you dance with me?"

Shayna giggled, "I don't think I'm much of a 'frame of reference' Guin. But she took Kemuri's free hand with her own. She watched with some amusement while Guin captured her reluctant partner, " Come on Pucci, you can't just leave a lady to dance alone." She grinned impishly at the cat

Pucci glared at Shayna but allowed himself to be placed in front of Guinevere as she curtsied to him and then twirled around with him in that uniform style of dancing one adopts when one knows no other dances and is too young to be bothered with embarrassment. The song that was on was a catchy tune about midnight and went well with the little Herald's spirited dance. When she was done, she curtsied again to Pucci, who was looking worse for the wear.

Kemuri's hand was held by Shayna's warm hand. he looked her in the eye but then got shy again. his eyes went to the side as he avoided eye contact. everytime he blinked, his eyes would always be led back to Shayna. He looked at her with almost all his courage and asked her. "care to dance fair mistress?" he blushed as his question came out.

Guinevre knew how Kemuri felt, being shy herself around lots of people. She wanted to help him out but probably didn't help by saying "Go, Kemuri, go!" She sat down to watch the two dance, dragging Pucci onto her lap. The cat, glad to have a break, napped.

Shayna smiled and pulled at Kemuri's hands, " I thought thats what we were doing." She tried to hold his gaze but it made her blush so she looked over at Guin and winked thankful that the little girl was around to keep things from becoming overly awkward.
