Hi, TheeCorner! Long time, no hear. Glad you're back!

It was 28 flippin' degrees last in Charlotte. I know this because I went to a Christmas party with my hubby at the Charlotte Marriott (company party, not his... yawn...hate these things 'cause I don't know anyone). So I get all dressed up and freeze my legs off going back and from (for the guys, in case you're not aware, ladies' clothes are made of much lighter weight material and don't offer much warmth...grrr! stupid clothing manufacturers!). And the "ballroom" (ha! more like a large suite) is also cold!!!

It was enough to make me scream . Thank goodness that fiasco is over for another year.

Quick! Need more silly Christmas music!!!

You need some good thermal underwear, Rhi!
Jockey has some that are warm but not heavy like guys' thermals.

As for Christmas music...here's a TON of it! biggrin

I'm in Raleigh and OH MY GOD IT SNOWED!

... Half an inch.

BUT STILL! IT SNOWED!

It's been 365 days since the last snowfall. Longer, actually.

I don't know if we even got ice from the mess this weekend. The temp. stayed around 38, so I don't know why we didn't get any snow. sad

Weather Channel says it's supposed to be down to 18 tonight with winds 15 to 20 mph! eek Gotta bring the plants from the porch. Don't think covering them with sheets is going to work for tonight.

Stay warm, everyone! And don't forget any outdoor pets!

It sounded pretty windy outside earlier, a little before dusk. Seems to be quieter now. Thursday looks like it's going to be a real mess of a day! Wind chill tonight supposed to get in the 'teens...it's 20 here right now. Wind chill looks bad for tomorrow too. Brrrr! gonk

It was 18 this morning with wind chill of 11 at 7 a.m. when we took the dogs out. eek Needless to say, they got their business down quickly! blaugh

It wasn't warmed up much. It's currently 28 with wind chill of 22. It's supposed to get to 41 this afternoon but I'm having my doubts.

Going to be another cold one tonight. According to Weather Channel, it's going back down to 20, but with less wind. Thank goodness I got my plants off the porch yesterday! BRR!!!

It's not unexpected. It's nearly February, & that's when we tend to get our worst winter weather, right before spring.

It was pretty cold when I got off work, but the wind wasn't blowing at least--it would've cut us like a knife, as cold as it felt!

It started off cold this morning (22) but made it to 54 this afternoon. Supposed to be going back down to the lower 20s again tonight with tomorrow only getting into the mid-40s. Thursday looks really interesting... BRRR!!!

I'm not exactly sure how cold it is outside right now but I can vouch for it being very cold out at the moment. I just ran out to my car to get something and my feet are near numb. Granted I wasn't wearing shoes, but that was my own dumb fault.
Anywho, my birthday is coming up on monday (Feb 5th) so I'm in a good mood because of that at least.

Happy early birthday to you, Mitsu! biggrin

The snow started here sometime around 4 a.m., according to the local news. I was asleep... LOL! However, when I did wake up around 6:30 a.m., it was still snowing. Some medium-sized flakes but mostly little ones. It's around 11:40 a.m. and we've got rain and freezing now. Had about an inch of snow which is being slowly melted by the rain. Schools were all canceled. Temp is 32. BRRR!!!

Tep. here is hovering around 30 & it hasn't put down much precip of any kind yet. There's a dusting of snow on the ground. Hope it won't get too icy tonight!

Whew! sweatdrop Lucky! It was above freezing when we got off work, so all that rain moisture didn't freeze. Still felt really cold, though!
My parents said they got about 2 inches of snow out in Clay county. I saw on the Weather Channel that there are places in the North Georgia Mountains that got 4-6 inches! eek Looked pretty messy around Fayetteville too. I guess that made Joshoowah happy! biggrin
