i went through a bout of what i guess you could call anorexia. Luckily i caught it early on so i wasn't too emaciated looking but all i would do is lie on the couch all day. for me the best cure was to keep myself on a busy schedule. I went away to a camp where we were doing something every second and then when it came meal time i'd be starving and eat whatever was put in front of me. my best advice is to aim to be healthy not skinny, you'll be a lot happier

Okay, first… I’m a male, and I don’t find skinny Lolita’s attractive. Asian people mostly have more round, chubby faces and it matches Lolita clothes. ^-^ If you want to look more doll-like, I’d actually say that most people need to gain weight. A Lolita is supposed to look cute. Skinny-ness is not cute. XD There’s a lot of styles where people usually think they need to loose some weight, but I think it’s just the opposite way with all the Lolita styles.
I don’t have any eating disorder myself. Right now, I suffer from too high metabolism. And another metabolism-illness… but I don’t know what it’s called on English. >_< Anyway, that means that I can not gain weight. No matter how much I eat, I’ll only loose weight. I’m a big fan of J-Rock, and all j-rockers are skinny. To wear oshare kei clothes (and Lolita. Not often though) it looks best if you’re skinny. At least if you’re not Asian. Because of that, I’m actually quite glad that I’m sick. (@_@’) Very disturbing actually… *cough* But I look forward to be healthy (In some couple of years. Sigh… slow progress) I love to eat. Therefore, I can never just quit eating. And I hate to throw up, so that’s not a problem either. XD I guess I’m just a little weird.

cloudyhead Seraphynthetic Moving to Beauty. 3nodding thats a statement right there. rofl Well it was Beauty or FAQ, and I really don't think asking if other people have a disorder is a very frequently asked question. O_o At least I hope it's not... Personally...I'd like to have not seen this thread ever created as it disturbs me. x: It disturbs me a lot... As for my own views...the dolls my sister has in her collection are chubby-ish with round faces. So I'm quite pleased with my normal body size and round face. I hope of those you who do have eating disorders are trying to get help and aren't posting your disorders here because you're proud of them...

i do eat... a lot... and i have gained 15 pounds lately and its actually made me look better in lolita and in other really feminine clothing... before, i just kind of looked like a scrawny ugly boy on a dress XDDD there's a difference between think and just...eww... and there is a difference between thin and healthy.

I modeled for 2 years therefore, unfortunately, the thing to do was have an eating disorder, I had bulimia Nervosa for a year and am still slightly affected by it =*( but really it is all better to just watch what you eat and EXCERSIZE. it is so important. you can loose a great deal of weight from abdominal excersizes but if you want to be really toned you have to start running XP i HATE running but it's a necessity. I don't eat things with flour, preservatives or added sugar. once i leave the nest i'm going to become Vegetarian. ^__^ but cutting the carbs is the best way to go. if you cut out flour you can replace most of it with fruits which is close to a simple carbohydraate but makes up for the lost energy that the carbs in flour provide. hope i was helpful huns <3

-imaginary-rawr- Don't think of being skinny as being doll-like! I don't even dress loli around college, but the kids in my dorm still say I look like a little doll...and I am not skinny. In fact, many of the prettiest dolls have padded bodies under their frills! I understand how you feel because I've often had to remind myself that doing unhealthy things to lose some weight is not a good idea, and luckily have never succumbed. It's a struggle, but I know you can be strong enough to be healthy. It's better to be healthy than extremely thin and in an unnatural state! i support cupcakes...If you ARE actually over weight, or obese then you should go about it by exercise and eating the right foods. and eating them =]

Well, I don't know...my BMI's 21.1 but I don't really think of myself as thin or anything. People will call me thin or average but I have like a big bone structure (seriously, I have canckles. XDD) and I really want to lose weight so I watch the calories and try to exercise everyday for 30 minutes at the least...
My sister has a BMI of 15 or so, she's got a super fast metabolism and she's trying to gain weight desperately so I'm kinda jealous of her...I wish I could have a faster metabolism. XD

Nezumi Kakashi I guess you could say I have an eating disorder...I just don't eat alot of the time, and as such I'm a twig. confused I've tried to eat more, but I just end up getting sick to my stomach later and falling asleep for ten hours. o-o I'm just like that. Many of my friends think I have anorexia but I don't becasue I don't care about or pay attention to my weight, I just rarely eat well-never 3 meals a day, more like 1 and a half >> I'm 5'7, 19, and weigh 108 Very unhealthy and I'm trying so ahrd to get my weight up

I have an over-eating disorder. I'm 5'7" and weigh 230 lbs. Luckily, I'm tall, but still, I wish I could eat less or excersise more. I'm even thinking of joining a gym.
