However, we will be damn sure we need to do so before attacking. We will start a war if we believe it would be detrimental not to. (Agent Glade speaking.) It is not our mission to strike first. This seems to be a Gaia verson of MIB, therefore we are here to protect both our kind and Aliens. You start a fight with them, they WILL call for back up. Their technology is much more advanced than ours, we don't stand a chance in fighting them. It is wise to just stay on their goodside for the time being. Wait for them to move first. We are giving them a bad impression of us. Think of it this way: You have just arrived in a new city, most everyone in that city either ignores you, or attacks you verbaly, or physicly. What do you think of them? Even if some say that the people there are nice? Will you want to believe that person? Will you even give those people another chance to redeem themselves? Now, this is the situation the aliens are in, and we are those people in the city.

Makes complete sense sir. The aliens haven't actually attacked us yet and for all we know they might have no idea how to act around us. After all, they probably think we are a bit suspicious, like we are of them.
We are just taking precautions, as they are doing so to us.

Of course. We shall assume they have the potential to become hostile, but are not as of yet. They seem to be attempting to antagonize us into striking first. Treat them as you would a troll, and remain on higher moral ground.

We have to remember that it's not only interplanetary relations at stake here. Many civillians are sympathetic to the aliens, and have begun to treat us as trigger-happy xenophobes. And since we are here to protect them, shouldn't we try to remain on their good side?
I was wondering if perhaps we should elect a Public Relations officer in order to represent more fully what the G.I.B. is about.
