Peri tried not to grin as the woman couldn't seem to come up with a response. Though he was worried about Anoki, for it seemed that she was somehow going to take this all out on him later. The boy looked frightened, though the dragon seemed to be taking up the role of protector.

Nibal took the moment of silence to whine. "P'las... go h'me."

Anoki felt awful. Not only was Raven upset with him, she was mad at the teacher and scaring Nibal and all of it was probably his fault. He had to do something to make up for it. Not that there was much he could do. He put one hand on Myung-Ki's head to calm him, and turned to Nibal, not sure what to say. "S-sorry," he finally whispered, bowing his head. To Raven, he nodded a little. "G-going home now."

"You certainly are," Raven confirmed forcefully. "I'm sure we'll find a better use for your time." She gestured with one arm in the direction of the apartment complex, completely ignoring Perilas.

Knowing that his person was okay calmed Myung-Ki down a bit, but not enough. He snorted at Raven vehemently, and much to his surprise and glee, a few sparks came out with the usual smoke and hot air. They fell on Raven's skirt, causing the delicate material to flame.

Looking back in surprise, Raven's eyes widened at the sight of the small flame. It wasn't burning her yet, but working quickly was not her forte, and she wasn't sure what to do.

Perilas frowned as Anoki apologized, but Raven went right on and he sighed. The poor kid. Father and adopted son were about to head home themselves when Raven's skirt caught on fire.

Peri went into panic mode. What should he do? What were you supposed to do when you caught on fire?? Oh wait... "Stop, drop, and roll." He rememered, motioning for Raven to get on the ground. If she didn't move fast enough, he'd just shove her down. He'd actually like to do that right now...

"MAMA!" Anoki shrieked loudly. Even that little flame was scary to someone who'd burned himself more than once. His hands went tight around Myung-Ki's horns, but in fear rather than anger. Even though Mama Ray was mean and strict, he didn't want her to get hurt.

Raven managed the stop part without too much trouble. It was the dropping and rolling that she had trouble with. Her brain was still in anger mode, and the angry, annoyed Raven would never roll around on the dusty ground. Flinchingly, she reached out a hand to pat out the fire, and hurriedly pulled it away. It was hot!

Sighing, Peri placed Nibal down quickly and walked the short distance to Raven, pushing her to the ground. Man, did that feel good. He tried not to push too hard, but... Raven would have to be the judge on that one. Seeing how she hadn't even gotten down on her own, he figured he might as well start rolling her about.

Nibal watched, worried. The woman hadn't been nice... but the fire was scaring the kid. Fire was hot and that was not good. And it was on Anoki's mom...

And down she went. Raven didn't react at all as she was shoved over, or even as the man started rolling her on the ground. She was still stuck in the stop phase mentally. Luckily, Perilas' actions were enough, and the flame was snuffed out on the cold ground.

Then, once things had calmed down a bit, Raven sat up abruptly. "What do you think- I'm engaged, sir! Really, you- I mean, thank you, but- was it really?"

What was it she wanted to say? For once, Raven wasn't sure.

It looked like the teacher had the situation under control. Since the fire was gone, things must have been okay. Taking the opportunity he was given, Anoki crept a bit away and knelt next to Nibal, who still looked scared. "You ok-kay?"

Peri just gawked at Raven. Maybe he should've just let her burn. "Would you rather have burned?" He pointed to where the fire had burned her skirt. His tone wasn't really mean or even sarcastic. He figured that the woman might be in a semi-state of shock still and was actually speaking softly, if not entirely kindly.

Nibal nodded. "Tha' scary..." He said, obviously talking about the fire. "He did tha'?" Now the kid was pointing to Myung-Ki, a bit awed.

"No-ooo," Raven was forced to admit. She definitely wouldn't like to have burnt herself. But his methods were uneccesarily rough, and she didn't like that one bit. She had to thank him, but she also had to convey the proper scorn for his actions.

"Thank you, sir," she started slowly. "But if there is a next time- and I pray there is not- might you proceed with due gentleness?"

Anoki nodded rapidly. It was definitely scary. But Nibal's implying that Myung-Ki was also scary was wrong. Myung-Ki was just little and didn't know any better. "He d-didn' mean t-to."

Myung-Ki snorted. He most certainly did mean to, and he did it well too! Next time she would think twice before messing with him, or his person!

Peri hid a smirk. "I shall keep that in mind." He stood, offering his hand to Raven to help her up.

Nibal glanced over at Myung-Ki. "Oh. As-eh-dent?" He eyed the dragon warily. That thing could become dangerous.

Raven scowled at the hand, and then the man it belong to, as if he was offering her a dead fish. Nonetheless, after a moment of this she took it, and used the leverage to get to her feet, where she brushed the remaining dust from her skirt. It was ruined anyway, since there was a small hole and a good bit of charred fabric, but she still couldn't stand being dusty.

"Thank you," she repeated, still not liking the feel of those words in her mouth.

"Yeah, m-musta b-been an accident." At least, Anoki hoped it was an accident. If it wasn't, then Myung-Ki might hurt him someday, and he really wasn't looking forward to that. But he put on his brave face anyway, hoping to humor Nibal.

"You're welcome," Peri replied, dropping his hand. The man turned and picked his child up. The tadpole boy wrapped his arms about the man's neck.

"As-eh-dent, P'las." Nibal told his father, apparently informing him of what he and Anoki had determined to have happened. "H'me now?"

Perilas glanced over at Raven, then nodded. "Sure, Nibal. Home now." It would be rude to leave without saying something, though, so Peri added, "Good bye," directed at the woman.

Nibal grinned and waved to Anoki and Raven. "Bye~!" He stated, loudly.

Once she had gotten every possible speck of dirt off her clothes, Raven grabbed Anoki roughly by the wrist. "You are in so much trouble," she stated, a bit unnecessarily. "Come."

She didn't say anything else, even to the others, but Anoki did. Just before he was pulled away, waved his other arm, hoping they would see. "Bye-b-bye, Nibal!"

Exhaling a bit more smoke, Myung-Ki followed. He would have to show everyone exactly who was boss...
