Kathlyn put away her sword and bit her tounge. She refused to get in another fight. So what if Okami called her weak. Who cares? Still Kathlyn could feel the anger growing in her chest from the insult. Kathlyns eyes watched Okami for a moment and then Kathlyn followed the teacher in silence. At the moment maybe they were right. Maybe she was weak. There was only one way to fix that...and so she planned to go strait from class to the traning ground. She would train and get stronger if it killed her. Hatred and anger burned inside her making her clench her fists tightly as she walked away.

Okami followed behind Kathlyn and noticed her fists clench. "What? Afraid of the truth? Face it, you're nothing but a weak little dragon girl. In fact, you're just a dragonfly!" She whispered as quietly as possible to her, smiling cruelly. Shinkirou was way ahead, and wasn't paying attention to any sounds so she didn't hear her. Shinkirou was still carrying James sword when she headed towards the exit.

Kathlyn looked back at her, her eyes like eyes and her words sharp and full of hate and anger, "You say that now; just you wait. You haven't seen anything yet, and only a total idiot would underestemate their opponent like you do. You better watch your back kid." I smiled wickedly and then looked away and calmly continued towards the classroom.

Ginseku enteed the arena slowly, looking about. HE was rather interested to see how this arena would fare as a training grounds for him. But he was more interested in finding a sparring partner. He looked about, attempting to find one. "Hey! Is there anyone in here that wants to spar?"

There was a bright flash. Kasai apeared a few feet in front of Ginseku, staff in hand. She was getting mush better at teleporting to where she wanted to.
"I'll give it a try... I'm a bit rusty..." She smiled. It had been a long time since she fought any one.

ginseku smiled too. "Alright, Lemme just get some space here..." And with the flap of his wings, ginseku leapt backward about 10 feet, making some elbow room between them.

Victor's loud voice boomed across the arena.
"You will be battling on the fire arena!" With that the two battlers were raised above the arena floor by some unseen force. Parts of the floor dropped away revealing flowing lava that exploded in jets of flames sparadicly. The fighters were lowered to a safe spot on the arena floor.
"On your mark!" Kasai pulled her staff off her back and held it in front of her. 'This will be easy...' She thought quietly to herself.
"GO!" She didn't make a move, waiting for her oponent to move first.

"Ladies first" Ginseku watched her, waiting in anticipation of any motion. He pulled out two kunai, one in reverse style, one in regular. He watched her carefully, thinking.

"Very well..." Kasai smiled, curtsied, and faded out of sight. She reapeared a few feet directly behind Ginseku right as two pillars of fire erupted from the lava on either side of them. She swung her staff out in front of her and pointed it at Ginseku. The two towering collums of fire curved toward him and came crashing down. A large blast of flames erupted from the tip of Kasai's staff and headed right toward Ginseku as well. Their bright green hue reflected in her eyes, causing them to glitter.

Ginseku's eyes widened immediately when she disappeared. His thoughts began to rush slightly, anticipating her next movement. Where would she appear? His thoughts calmed as he felt her behind him now, looking at her through the corner of his eye. He formed handsigns, seeing the tremendous flame attacks coming towards him. he stopped on one. "Suiton! Suijinheki!" He opened his mouth as wide as he could, and water gushed out in tremendous flow unto the ground. It quickly dlooded the ground around him, then raised up into a wave-wall defense of water. as the flames collided witht the water, steam rose as the evaporating shield guarded ginseku from the attack. HE then began to focus intense amounts of chakra into his wings, which began to flap at high speed. SUddenly, they began to disappear, and a light buzzing sound was heard, similar to that of a dragonfly's. Ginseku flew out of his eggshell of a defense, gaining altitude very quickly. he turned around, flapping his wings more slowly now, to save chakra. "Fire manipulator? lets see...That attack should help." He began thinking of water attacks he could use on her.

"Yup!" Kasai smiled, pleased with her luck. She focused her mind now on the lava surounding her. Large globs of lava rose out of the boiling pits and slowly circled around her, sizling an popping in the cool air. Steam still hung lazily around the bottom of the arena like heavy fog, bluring her image. She walked forward into a thicker clump of steam, nearly disapearing completely, the glowing lava still floating around her. Suddenly, one of the large lava spheres hurtled upward, straight at Ginseku. The moment before the bubbling mass would have colided with him, Kasai teleported to right behing him again. She swung her staff full force at his back.

Ginseku noted the ball, then began forming handsigns. Only three, however. Ginseku took the strike from behind, then burst into smoke, a volcanic rock falling to the ground. Ginseku had used a substitution jutsu! Now the ball of lava was less than a few feet away from Kasai, giving her barely any time to think. Ginseku appeared beneath her, on the ground. He formed handsigns quickly."Suiton, suishouha!" Suddenly, water appeared from nowhere. It surrounded the ball of lava, cooling it to stone. It began to drop, instead of colliding with Kasai. (note: lava is so hot that if you get as close as 5 feet away, you are instantly third degree burned. 2 feet means you are cinder. keep that in mind.)

((Thanks for the tip! ^_^ ))
Kasai's eyes widened. The attack she launched was about to collide with her now. She instinctively threw out her hand and tried to slow it down with her telekenisis, but it barely helped. She could feel the searing pain spread across her hand and up her arm as the heat burnt her skin. Suddenly water surrounded the lava and prevented it from colliding with her. Kasai quickly yanked her burnt arm away from the water and hid it in her kimono sleeve. The pain was immense, and it wouldn't stop throbbing now. She might have been able to control flames and not be hurt by them, but being burned my heat from another source was a different matter.
Something in Kasai clicked that moment. Her eyes blazed a brighter color. She was falling back toward the arena floor now, unalbe to keep herself airborn with her weak psychic powers. She tossed her staff into the air with her good arm, the other still cuddled in her kimono. She was plummiting faster toward the ground now and simply closed her eyes, making no effort to stop her decent.

Ginseku was forming handsigns frantically, Gathering chakra in a rush. He placed his hands to the ground, and the earth beneath Kasai's shadow trembled. suddenly, It cracked open, and a tremendous cyclone of upwards air reached her, slowing her rapid descent dramatically. Ginseku flapped his wings hard, flying towards her. He reached out, and grabbed her softly, the air decreasing in power until it eventually faded. He held her up in his arms lightly, flapping his wings slowly to descend at a slower rate. "Im so sorry, are you Okay Sai?" He landed, standing her up slightly. He formed a handsign in one hand, and it began to glow green slightly. "Here, let me see your arm.."

Kasai's eyes fluttered open as he stood her upright. Why had he helped her? It was a strange feeling. She had always had to take care of herself before now.
"Its ok, really. You prevented me from being hurt much worse than this..." She hesitantly removed her arm from her kimono and held it out. The skin on her hand was charred black and peeling, and from her wrist up to her elbow it was a blistered red. Just coming in contact with the open air made it throb more than before. Just then, she realized something.
"Hold on..." She spun around and stretched out her good hand. About 10 yards away her staff balenced on its tip. Black flames were oozing from the glowing jewel and spiraling upwards, slowling forming into a serpantine shape. Kasai squinted, focusing her mind on the staff. It didn't budge. The pain in her arm was weakening her measly powers. The black flames let out a hiss and formed into a large, blazing dragon. The dragon reared it's head and let out a deafening shriek. "
"Come on!" Kasai shouted at herself. The staff shuttered, then flew up and into her open hand. The dragon shuddered, then slowly dissapated. Black embers drifted up and away from where the massive flaming creature had been just moments before.
"Sorry bout that... I had planned on the battle continuing after I fell..." She looked down at her seared arm degectedly. She felt awful about setting up that deadly attack. It finally dawned on her that Ginseku had no real intention of hurting her. A frown creased her brow as she picked at the flaky skin on her palm. Why did he care?
