I have a similar problem.. I really can't stand my dad at all. Sometimes I wish I wasn't related or I never met him. Almost everything about him gets on my nerves. I know it's not right to hate him - it almost becomes a burden sometimes disliking him so much. It would just be so hard to love him..

your troubles with your father have inspired me for a character in a book i am writing, here is the chapter[soory, its a girl though]

Chapter 3: Los Angeles

“Rrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiinnnnnggggggg!” “Huh? What time is it” said Zoe, slamming her alarm clock. “What! 8:00. Schools in Fifteen minutes. Man, I really need to wake up earlier. She flung the covers off of her and rushed to the closet. “What to wear, what to wear.” she said rummaging through her dresser. “Aha!” she exclaimed, pulling out a skirt and a t-shirt. She raced to get them on, then ran into the kitchen and started making toast. “Well, well, well, look who decided to get up” said Zoe’s mom. “When dad was alive, he always woke me up.” retorted Zoe, looking at her feet. Her mom aquired a sympathetic tone “Honey, listen, I know it’s been hard since dad died. But then your step dad came into our lives and has been a great help.”. “I don’t care about that fake. I bet he doesn’t even think of me as his daughter. He’s no father of mine” cried Zoe, tears streaming down her eyes. She grabbed her toast and fled out the door, not looking back. Her life was a absolute mess she kept telling herself. She had had enough of her step dad, always gone working, and missing the father daughter time he kept promising. She got to school and wiped her eyes. Zoe’s school was brand new. It had been built two years ago. Most people thought this school was awesome, but to Zoe, it was a prison. All the girls were snotty cheerleaders, and hated Zoe and Claire. Zoe and Claire met at this school in fourth grade and had been friends ever since. Claire walked up to her, and noticing something was wrong, asked, “What wrong?” “Nothin” replied Zoe, wiping her eyes. “Okay, whatever you say.” replied Claire, not so surely. “Come on we’ll be late for class. ” said Claire “Comin” she said running up the school steps. Zoe had just gotten through the doors when the final bell rang. She didn’t have the greatest day at school. It all started in math, when Zoe went to the board and didn’t know how to do the problem. It was really embarrassing. If she made a list of her favorite to least favorite subjects, math would be at the bottom and reading at the top. She loved to read, and had a growing library in her room. Most of the books were from her dad, who was now dead because of a plane accident. The plane he was flying broke down in mid air and he crashed and died. Then, in P.E., she got slammed in the face with a ball while playing dodge ball, and got a bloody nose. On her way to the nurse, she felt a cold hand gripping her shoulder. “What’s wrong did the bookworm get hurt? Wahaha!” “Shut it Mike.” she said angrily, trying to ignore him.. “What did you just say to me? Well boys, let’s show her what we do to people who call me names.” Mike’s cronies started snickering. Mike was a pretty scary person. He was in 7’th grade and it looked as if acne was waging World
War Three with his face. He had a group of cronies that always followed him. They had had acquired the name, The Hunting Pack, for they hunted down Mike’s targets for his meaningless bullying. “Didn’t your mom ever teach you not to hit girls?” questioned Zoe. “My mom and my pops have life sentences in prison for manslaughter. “Oh” said Zoe. Mike drew back his fist, and got ready to sock her. When his fist connected with her face, pain exploded everywhere on her face. She felt hot tears prickling her face. Warm blood was trickling from her nose. She ran past him. “Hey, I’m not done with you yet!” shouted Mike with a maniacal expression in his voice. She paid no attention to him. She just kept running until she reached an alley and slumped against the wall crying. Claire, who watched Zoe run out of the school, walked up to her and asked,” Want to talk about it?” “Sure, you see, ever since my dad died, there been this new step dad that’s been living with us, ang he just isn’t like my old dad. I find it hard loving him, even though I know he cares about me. “Also,” she said, starting to sob, “I get beat up at school, but I always keep it inside not telling any one.” Now she was full on crying. “It’s just been so hard. But talking to you has helped me a lot.” Zoe said, tears streaming down her face. “There, there. Everything will be all right Claire said, giving Zoe a hug. Neither of the two girls noticed the black mist surrounding them. Claire screamed, but it was lost into the total darkness they were falling into.
