If you break "ryuzaki" down, it becomes "ryu" "zaki", right? As stated in the first post, "ryu" means "dragon." From the research I've done, "zaki" apparently means "cape" or "edge." Or more vaguely mentioned in some places... "where the gods descend". So, technically, Ryuzaki's name would mean "dragon cape/edge," depending on how you wish to translate.

I would feel pretty weird if my name meant anything (my name irl)... a friend of mine's name means Most Beautiful Butterfly in welsh or something, I think that'd be a bit odd... somehow...

It depends on how it's spelt. I don't think they ever spelt it right out in the anime or manga. Whether it's in kanji or katakana makes a huge difference in meaning. Learned that the hard way. D:

By talking about it, I got like......five people(which coincidentally is a lot >.>) into Death Note. Just because I wouldn't shut up about how much I loved it. You shouldn't be shy though. You'll be surprised to know that a lot of people like something once you ask around a bit. With me, I just kinda nonchalantly took out manga or something wherever I was, and people would come up to me and talk sometimes. Ah. Good times. xd
