She looked at him curiously as he turned away, "What's wrong?" Nalani tilted her head and nickered softy at him. Noticing a pinkish coloring on his face, she giggled and gently nipped at his cheek. "Hey, please look at me. I want to see your face." Her sky-blue eyes shone brightly as she waited for him to show his sweet and kind face.

Apple slowly turned his head to face the mare. Slowly his face turned from a pinkish color back to his normal gray colors. He couldn't help but nuzzle the mare. "Sorry." He smiled and laughed a little at his face being a pinkish color.

"Hey, lets go to the beach. The sun is setting and it will be a beautiful sight. If you want, we can come back here afterwards." She tried getting out of the water but slipped back in with a splash, wetting Apple all over again. "Oh my, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wet you again." She blushed in embarrassment.

Apple quickly put his head down to her trying to help her up. "are you ok?!" He tried to help her up with his muzzle. "Are your wings ok?!" Suddenly he felt scared hoping that she was ok and her wings were not torn. "Please say your ok." He looked at the sunset and nudged her a little continuing to try to help her up.

Nalani had forgotten completely about her wings, but fortunately they were ok. "I'm fine, my knight. My wings are ok as well, thank goodness." With his help she was able to get up and get out of the water. "What would I have done if you weren't around." She smiled thankfully for his company and for his care. "You are very special Apple. Always remember that."

Apple smiled at the mare. "Thank goodness you are perfectly ok." He looked down at her legs and trotted around her a few times making sure she didn't have any cuts or bruises. "Now are you sure you are perfectly ok?" Finally listening to the mare he smiled. "And you are a very, very special mare." Smiling and nodding her nuzzled his head against her neck, happy she was ok.

She couldn't hold it in any more, she had to do it. Nalani turned her head and licked his cheek. "Thank you." She smiled and started walking off towards the beach. Looking through the corner of her eye, she could see that he was very surprised at her action. The happy mare giggled and waited for him to catch up. "Come on silly, lets go before the sun sets."

Apple stood there for a few seconds just smiling before running up next to Nalani and licking her cheek. "You are so very welcome." He smiled and lept for joy. He couldn't help himself he was just so happy. Suddenly he kicked up his hooves making sure not to hit Nalani with them. He looked like an over sized colt running around.

Apple looked so cute, kicking up his hooves like a young colt. Nalani couldn't help but laugh and join him. She reared and tossed her head, then she landed and kicked out playfully with her hind legs. Her long tail swung freely behind her. "Come my knight, lets race." Being so full of energy and happiness that she took off in a gallop.

Apple put his head down as he ran right next to the filly just barely passing her. He laughed out of pure joy and happiness. Never in his life had he been so happy. I think I'm in love Was all that he could think to himself while running. Feeling his hooves hit the ground underneath him and his heart pounding he felt like he was going to start flying. Suddenly he lept into the air feeling like he was flying until he landed gracefully back on his hooves.

Oh how she wished she could give him her wings to fly! He looked so happy. What was this that she was feeling? Nalani thought of what her mother had told her about knowing who was the right one for her. Could he be the one? Is this why she felt....love? The joyful mare mare whinnied at her knight. She used her wings to lift herself off of the ground, but only high enough that she was still next to her stallion. Her stallion? Why was she thinking that way? Am I losing my head? He probably doesn't feel the same way I do.

Apple smiled looking up to the mare. She looked so gorgeous with her beautiful wings flapping. He ran a little faster kicking up his hooves and whinnieing happily. I love her more than any other mare out there, but does she feel the same way that I do? Glancing back up to the mare he smiled at her, still hoping that she loved him just as he did her.

Nalani landed next to him again since they were nearing the forest and she couldn't really fly in there. She picked up speed and galloped ahead of Apple. Hmmm, how about a game of hide and seek? He hid behind a thick oak tree and peeked from the side, checking to see where her stallion was.
The mare smiled and hid her head so he didn't see her.

Not seeing his mare he quickly lifted his head up and whinnied. Apple started to run around searching for the mare wanting to make sure she was ok. He was sure she was alright but he did not want her to get hurt in any way. Searching behind trees and rocks he did not find her and started to look around frantically. "Nalani where'd you go?" He said trying not to sound too scared.

Nalani thought he looked adorable trying not to sound scared. "I'm here, my knight." She jumped out of her hiding spot. "Forgive me for hiding from you. I hope I didn't worry you." She smiled and nuzzled him affectionately. "Apple...."
