We're obviously loving it in our household,... even my 8yr old (who's normally an AC/DC fanatic) has requested it gets turned up

I was sent a copy on advance 2 weeks before it came out with white covers..

I knew from experience that there would be some songs that I would Love & some that would grow on me.

by the time it had been relesed here in the U.K I had my Fav Tracks

The first thing I did when it was relesed was examine the cover in great detail.. but thats another thread 3nodding

I Cant fault it..

I don't think anybody can. It's truly a masterpiece of an album, the best in 20 years!

Although, that's not without saying Brave New World and Dance of Death had their good moments...

Ya that happens to me too. After I buy an album I stare at it for hours, lol.

Yes, yes I do quite enjoy the logo. Maybe when I go to another country, I can bring my flag thing with me so people know what I represent 3nodding

FAR AWAY FROM THE LAND OF OUR BIRTH
WE FLY A FLAG IN SOME FOREIGN EARTH
WE SAILED AWAY LIKE OUR FATHERS BEFORE
THESE COLORS DON'T RUN, FROM A COLD BLOODY WAR!!!

That song so speaks to me just because im going in the Army Reserves.

I love the album but to say that Colors Don't Run is the top song on it kinda... isn't it for me

The Legacy and For the Greater Good of God..

I'm not religious, but that tiny bass intro, the variation in tones for Bruce's abilities, it stands up on it's own. I honestly believe that's the top song on the album...

Followed very closely by The Legacy... The Legacy begins so sad, then heads into that guitar bridge (pre-solo whatever you want to call it) that just shocks the hell out of you, and proves to you... There's a reason that Iron Maiden is still around, and it's not based on some gay comebacks like The Backstreet Boys (Bastards)

As for it being the best album in 20 years... well... I have to admit.. I still LOVED Brave New World, and Dance of Death... those albums were also beautiful pieces of work.

I'd say that AMOLAD is a great album. The Legacy is ******** amazing, and every other song is great... although Brighter Than A Thusand Suns is a really cheap odd time sig. rip off (7/4, if you must know)

I love AMOLAD, it is strong all the way through, not a single weak track. Reincarnation has some very strong riffs, The Pilgrim is an impressive track, and The Legacy was amazing. I would have to say it was 72 minutes of the greatest metal on Earth, and any other planet. THe only thing I was dissapointed with is that it didn't come out sooner. And about the cover art, it is awesome. I drew it on my own, and it came out really well.

As for my personal favorite song on the album. For the Greater Good of God. I was listening to it the day I got it, and the last line in the song really caught my attention and blew me away. And people call them satanists, which I don't think they have a satanist message in any song.

"He gave his life for us, he fell upon the cross, to die for all of those who never mourn his loss, it wasn't meant for us to feel the pain again, tell me why..."

Wow, what a moving line.

well my bro bought it like the day it came out... it's very good... i strongly recomend it.... Maiden really pulled their weight on this one... the guitars sound heavier on this album than any other before it... tis the work of the great Adrian Smith and his awesomeness!!!... future world is my favorite song on the album, and the video is very well done!

I have it...it was a good album but i think a lot of bands get worse as they run out of ideas........but i do like, The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg, that was awesome

A matter of life and death was better than I expected.
Because at that time, old, good bands were putting out half-assed albums.

And of course IRon maiden didnt do that. THis is probably on my top 3 fav Maiden albums.

And for some reason, everyones fav song on there is different world , or the reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg.
MY top 2 are These colors dont run and for the greater good of god.
