(Highlight for spoilers!) Which one did you see/read first? ...I think I read the manga first.
How did it draw you in? Well, I had heard about it online and saw the book at Borders, so I went "I'll try this manga thing" xd and bought it (FMA was my first manga, btw). It was just so unique and intruiging, and now I'm obsessed.
What part made you laugh/cry/wet yourself in fear etc.? Books don't usually make me experience any of the above, so I'll answer for the anime. Laugh: Definately episode 13 - "All female officers will have to wear... TINY MINISKIRTS!" xp Cry: Episode 50 when *Ed was killed by Envy* and all of Episode 51. I pretty much bawled my eyes out during the movie when *Al started crying after he visited Ed* because it made me so sad and I was thinking about my dead cat. crying Wet yourself in fear: Well, I didn't wet myself, but when *Archer came back with automail* I was pretty much going "OMG. OMG. OMG!!!" eek *spazs*

Which one did you see/read first? I first saw the anime. Episode 27, to be precise, was the first one I saw. Not the most exciting, but it provides good background. ^-^ How did it draw you in? Well, my friend reccommended it, so I decided to look, and I'm not exactly sure how to explain it, but after seeing the episode, I just had to see more. And then I found the manga, and... well, that's history. I'm not sure exactly what drew me in though... although perhaps it was the first time I had ever seen an actual original Japanese opening theme on my home television screen... What part made you laugh/cry/smile/wet yourself in fear etc.? Depends upon the version.
Anime: Laugh: Episode 37. That, and every time Maes would show off his pictures. I don't know why people don't like it... Cry: The ending of the movie always makes me almost cry, as does the end of episode 25. The movie more for some reason though. Possibly because I know there probably won't be more of the anime. Smile: Pretty much every scene that isn't ultra emo and does not include Envy. Fear: None in particular that I can think of...
Manga: Laugh: Every time someone says something like, "Oh, there's no way that's happening..." and then next panel, we find out that said thing is, in fact, occurring at that very moment. ^-^ And, of course, when you expect something to go one way and it goes completely in the opposite direction (like many of the recent developments with Marcoh). Cry: The end of chapter 61. Well, almost. But still. And if you know what that chapter is and what characters I like, you know why that made me sad. Also, chapter 16. Smile: Any panel that includes Maes or Ling. (And by Ling, I mean Ling. Not you-know-who.) Maes and Ling just make me smile no matter the situation. Fear: The end of chapter 54.

hmmm... I must say I prefer the manga more even though I actually saw the anime first.... I pick the manga because it's not as angsty and I like most of the character's personalities better. Especially Ling & Ranfan! XD But I still like the anime (chibis!)

BridgitKiido Fear: The end of chapter 54. Yeah that totally freaked me out. That was one hell of a twist. sweatdrop Envy's true form scares me too. It reeeally scars me. A lot. sweatdrop I thought Ed and Ling were dead men at one point. Things that make me cry... well, I was a wreck during chapter 53 (The Soul's Guide). The face Ed makes when he's using those souls made me tear up. And then when he saw Al's body... my god I was sobbing. Yes, yes I am a sucker for this kinda stuff.

I like the manga best. I can't really put my finger on why... What I like about the anime is that the characters move and the way that it's in color. Maybe I like the manga so much because it's right in front of me and I can read and go through the story at my own pace. The art also seems to get better as the series goes on. Speaking of art, ughhh... I despise the random scenes in the anime where it just doesn't look quite right. domokun

Weird screen caps, where the art is just like "wtf?", all disproportioned and lazy-looking.
But that's what I love about the movie; the animation and art is so clean and smooth. [which makes Alfons H., my luv heart , look so pretty. xD]

Studio Bones choose one of the best componies to work with them in the film which was Production I.G.
Have you seen the regular shows they made like Ghost in a Shell and IGPX?The quality is beautiful for just being a series.Making movies just as great.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but the animation in the Fruits Basket anime bugs me. A lot. It seems SO cheap compared to FMA.

No I haven't. I'm not a big fan of CLAMP, but the Tsubasa manga's OK. I mainly read it because I subconcienciouly want a guy to give up his most prized possession in order to take on a dangerous quest through different dimensions to get my memories back...
