ryokomayuka It's election day. What do you think will happen? I don't know but alot of stuff they aired on t.v. is not what they say it is. prop 85 isn't to force girls to tell their parent their pregnant but to inform parents if minors plan to get an abortion or thinking abit. T.v. lies (mainly cause they don't what parents to know so they get more money)

I hate election time. I'm 90% liberal but that 10% that I agre with the conservatives on are deeply important issues. sweatdrop
WHY can't I find a candidate who's for gay marriage and against abortion? sad

I voted yesterday 3nodding Democrats took over the house! w00t! I voted all democrat. I still don't get how a republican is governer again in a democrat majority state.

Democrats took the house by a large margin, and they took the senate too by a small margin. They also took a majority of governorships giving them a 28-22 advantage. Democrats also picked up a majority of state legislatures, now 23 states have both legislative bodies as democrats 16 have both controlled by republicans, and 10 states have legislatures split between the two parties. In legislatures that democrats didn't gain control of most gained seats in to narrow the gap.
Translation: Republicans got screwed.
Ballot measures:
south dakota abortion ban failed.
parental notification bans in oregon and california failed
Missouri passed its stem-cell research amendment in missouri, guanteeing that stem cell-research will be legal and promoted.
legalization of marijuana failed in nevada and colorado
same sex marriage bans passed in seven states, failed in one.
minimum wage measures passed in all states on the ballot.

What kind of stem-cells? Is it adult, embryonic, or the other kind I can't think of what it is.

I think its embroytic, It also allows cloning of embroyos to be tested.

I can't believe people in the US can be so devoted to keeping abortion legal but also to keeping marijuana and same-sex marriage illegal. Let's see, something that's resulted in millions of deaths versus two things that have resulted in no deaths whatsoever... stare

the truth of the matter is that politicians do little to nothing to put abortion laws in place, even the ones who say they're "pro-life" don't take a stand on the issue when push comes to shove.
This was proven true when the last pro-life politician who had the guts to do something about it, Robert Casey, a democrat, back in 1992, took on Planned Parenthood and the rest of the so called "pro-life" politicians stood silent, too concerned about their popularity than standing up for what they claimed to believe in

How do states think they have the right to ban same sex marriages? It REALLY pisses me off. I want someone to take it to the supreme court gonk
