Death Metal (Nile, Behemoth, Decapitated, Zyklon, Yyrkoon, Vital Remains, Krisiun... the brutal s**t.)
Grindcore/Death Metal/Hardcore. (all of that BREE-BREE scene kid stuff.)
Pure Hardcore (not Norma Jean, Between the Buried and Me, and the likes. i'm talking about FIGHT EVERYONE!, Bury Your Dead, First Blood, Hoods, Terror, Throwdown, Casey Jones, etc.)

durrypoo crazedneo symphonic metal: Epica, nightwish, Therion Those would be Gothic Metal buddy, with the exception of Nightwish, who are also Power Metal. neutral epica, and therion gothic metal what are you high!? last time i checked Epica a Dutch symphonic metal band which uses alot of operatic elements and death grunts, performing song passages in Latin. Plus Therion was the first to feature a fully live orchestra and write their music with the symphonic elements of classical music as an essential inclusion into their musical style. these symphonic aspects is what they became known for. oh and further more Nightwish has symphonic nature in the use of their keyboards but yes your right into saying they are power metal but you can put their style of music under Symphonic power metal. now onto gothic metal buddy symphonic metal was birthed from gothic metal but one big difference from symphonic metal from that of gothic metal is that symphonic metal is that they have a lighter more operatic upbeat feel to it as well as using live orchestras with in there music. that gives it a more melodic touch to the sound. gothic metal tends to heavily synthesizing the styles of their melody and rhythm ideas in its guitar riffs, often causing the music to be aggressive and fast paced. Gothic metal has a heavy use of atmosphere in its music which makes the song warm, energetic, but yet empty and enclosing. but if you know so much about gothic metal you'd know that... guess not

crazedneo durrypoo crazedneo symphonic metal: Epica, nightwish, Therion Those would be Gothic Metal buddy, with the exception of Nightwish, who are also Power Metal. neutral Tons of Information. Symphonic is not a subgenre of metal, but rather reffers to musical arrangements, sorta like neo-classical guitar playing. Let me tell you, Wikipedia is not a good source for information about metal, or music in general.
