Ashori watched him with a somewhat expectant expression, and wasn't disappointed. While he may have deflected the lightning, again, the dagger found its mark. She smiled slightly to herself, still hovering there above the floor. She couldn't touch down now, since her dress was wet. She tugged at the front of it helpless, but it just snapped right back, clinging to her skin.

Then she gave him her full attention, staring at his arm. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise as she noted the scars and burn marks there, and she drifted a couple inches towards him, as if trying to see better. She wanted to know what had happened, but assumed it'd be a waste of breath to ask. So instead she stared at him a second longer, her own hand moving to cover her arm where his earlier attack had grazed her. Her arms were simply pale though, with no noticable marks at all. She just had the mark on her right cheek, but nothing else currently visible.

She floated back away from him again, hearing the busting of pipes seconds before they actually exploded through the walls. That didn't help her much though. She was still stuck inside the room, in an enclosed space, trying to avoid water despite it coming from all directions. She growled and threw her arms over her head, the black sparks disappearing from her hands and instead sparking along all of her.

For a second there was nothing, and then the black energy spread out from her in all directions, forming a sort of dome around her. She had no idea if this was work, but it was a last resort. So she clamped her eyes shut, kept her arms over her head, and tried.

Ashori looked curiously at Razzer's arm, and drifted forwards a few inches unconciously. She realized what she was doing and floated back to her previous position. In a strange move, Ashori growled loudly and threw her arms up in the air. A black... bubble... of sorts covered her entire body. Since it didn't appear to be the beginnings of some sort of nova explosion, Razzer assumed it was a protective shield.

He noticed that Ashori seemed to be trying to vanish in the bubble. Her eyes were clamped shut and she seemed to be concentrating really hard. It looked like she didn't want the fight to go on any more than it had to. Arm now hurting slightly, Razzer turned away from the girl and strode to the half-demolished katana rack. Behind it was a small valve. He turned this valve and the water slowly stopped pouring out of the walls.

A quiet fell upon the dojo. Only the sound of a small dribble of water from one of the pipes indicated that there was any noise at all.

"Feel better?" Razzer asked quietly.

Ashori waited, floating there inside her energy sheild, but slowly opened her eyes agan as she felt nothing. She blinked a few times, peering out through her arms and glancing towards Razzer as she heard him speak. She stared at him for a moment and then frowned. "Yes," she mumbled. "And no..." She looked at her arm, and then towards his, and felt a sudden wave of guilt. Damn it... she thought angrily, still keeping herself in the air, as if afraid to touch the ground.

Her sheild disappeared as she realized he'd turned the water off, no more sparks bouncing across her hands or anywhere else either. She sighed quietly and then looked back at him, folding her arms across her chest. She wasn't sure what to do now. It seemed their fight was over, and they'd both calmed at least a bit... She was still dying to ask about his arm, and opened her mouth to begin the question, when it snapped shut again. Her eyes narrowed slightly, as she half expected him to make some comment about it.

But she was tired and breathing somewhat heavily, the sheild taking a lot out of her. Actually, it'd been a while since she'd gotten to practice with the energy attacks and she wasn't at all used to it. It put a sort of strain upon her that she couldn't avoid. Her other side couldn't use the attack though, and since she was usually not like this, she didn't have much experience. Instead, she worked with healing a lot, but she couldn't acess that power right now either.

So she simply let the blood run down her arm. She enhaled softly, breathing in the scent of his blood, and drifted towards him very slightly before slowing to a halt again. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she tried to control herself. It was over. The fight was over, and she didn't need to continue it.

Ashori opened her eye, probably expecting to see a raging torrent of water hurtling towards her. Instead, she was surprised to see Razzer standing calmly. A few moments of silence ensued, and her energy shield went down.

She drifted a bit closer towards Razzer, keeping her eye on his arm. Ashori opened her mouth - presumably to ask about his arm - but closed it. Razzer ramined silent, and just looked wearily at her as she slowly approached. She thought the fight was over.

"Stupid move." Razzer hissed suddenly. "You realize that now that your shield is down - as is your guard - you're completely open for me to have killed you." he spat half-blood half-spit into the water.

"But since I've effectively accomplished what I needed to do, I don't need to finish you off." He looked tiredly around at the remains of his dojo. Completely and utterly destroyed. Worth it? Yes.

Razzer looked at the ground. His bandages (what remained of them) were drifting in the shallow water a foot away. He bent over and picked the tatters up. They were bloodstained and soggy. Sighing, Razzer tossed them back into the water.

Ashori watched him quietly, staring mostly at his arm, when he suddenly hissed out. She froze, eyes widening again as one arm raised diagonally in front of her, perhaps a feeble attempt at last second defence. She stared at him a moment after he'd finished speaking and then slowly pointed her hand at him again before it balled into a fist and dropped to her side. She glared at the ground, slightly off to one side.

"Maybe you should just kill me then," she muttered, angry at herself now more than anything. She was worthless, unable to do anything right. She couldn't even find a way to return home. Maybe he really should kill her. Then maybe she'd be able to return... But at the same time, she didn't want to risk that. She kept cursing herself in her mind, but didn't say anything more aloud.

After a small pause, she slowly looked around again, not looking at him, but instead at their surroundings. Her mismatched eyes took it all in carefully, all the damange they'd caused to the otherwise peaceful scenery. She felt yet another wave of guilt, but quickly pushed it away.

Then she glanced back at him, watching him pick up the bandages and then discard them again. She paused for a moment and then slowly reached into a pouch on her belt, pulling out a bundle of bandages. She growled, to catch his attention mostly, and then tossed them at him. Next she drifted over the water, eyes searching until she found her dagger. She reached down and carefully picked it up, floating crouched above the ground, and wiped it off on her wet dress before slipping it back into her boot.

Ashori froze, her eyes widening at his mention of her fatal mistake. She raised one of her arms in an attempt to bring the shield back up, but dropped her hand. Instead she settled for glaring at the ground.

"Maybe you should just kill me then." she grumbled. A few minutes of silence passed, before Ashori looked around the room at everything but Razzer. Then she looked at him, and reached into her belt. Withdrawing a bundle of bandages, she growled and tossed them to him.

His arm raised up and he caught the bandages. Choosing not to make a comment about her death with, Razzer examined the bandages. Grunting, he tossed them back to Ashori, who was now picking up her dagger.

"I don't need them." he said. In response, his arm gave a painful throb. The blood running along his arm had began to crust, and so the scars that were inked with blood now looked like tattoos. Razzer took a step forward, his feet making a wet squishing noise on the oversaturated carpet. He walked past Ashori and stepped over some debris, out into the courtyard. Sitting down on a bench, he tilted his head back and looked up at the artificially-created sky. Fluffy white clouds drifted lazily overhead, and the sun was shining brightly.

"You're not a bad fighter, you know." he said over his shoulder. Whether or not she was even there to hear, Razzer didn't know. But he said it anyways. He sighed and closed his eyes, shutting out the pain in his arm.

Ashori turned suddenly, hand raising automatically to catch the bandages he tossed back. She frowned as he spoke and shook her head to signal she disagreed, but didn't say anything aloud. Instead she surveyed the damage they had done to the dojo, though it seemed to her he'd done the most. With all his pipe bursting and stuff. Thus, she felt no need to feel very guilty for it. She simply bit off a small bit of the bandages with her fangs, wrapped up her arm, and tied it deftly with one hand.

She finally allowed herself to lower back to the ground, boots touching the ground tentatively before settling down entirely. The large wings tucked against her back as she glanced around a couple times before noticing he'd walked outside.

She followed, at a distance, and remained five feet behind the bench he'd sat down upon. She heard his words, but didn't reply, not knowing what to say. Instead she just sighed, staring upwards as well. Her frown shifted into a somewhat confused expression. She was seeing clouds, but... they were inside, right? Virtual reality... was that the cause of this?

Kazuma seen two guys walking out of the building. " Hey you two. What is in that building?" Kazuma asked the two. " Its the new VR rooms. They are awsome. They just opened. You should try it." One of the guys told Kazuma. Heh that sounds amusing. I might as well try it out. Kazuma said in his head. He then bowed as a showing of thanks and ran off towards the entrance. He entered the building and walked around. He then made it accross a hallway with many doors. It looked like it was an endless hallway with millions of doors. He walked passed a door and it said something on it. "What is this?" Kazuma said to himself. He then tryed to open the door. But it didn't move. How strange i should open. Mabey it's stuck. Well anyway I will go and open this door with my matter manipulation ability. He said in his head. He then extended his arm out in front of him and opened his palm. The door was still the same. " Wow now thats weird. Ok then i will need to just sit here." Kazuma said. He then sat down and waited for the door to open.

Noticing that the new VR rooms were finally open, Laurel decided to go check them out. I wouldn't mind a little virtual reality right now...I'm so lonely without Micha around. She's been in the hospital for almost forever! She walked inside, and started to go down the hall looking for an empty room. Seeing a guy sitting outside one of the rooms, she walked up and tapped him on the shoulder, a little surprised at how bold she was being. "Um...you prob'ly don't hafta wait. There's plenty of rooms here, if that one won't open it's just full." She pulled on the door of another room to demonstrate. It swung open, and she stood in the doorway, waiting to see if he'd reply.

He could hear her behind him now. She didn't come and sit beside him, though. Not that Razzer wanted it, though. He just sat and looked up at the virtually-created clouds. It was quite a contrast to what the scene was a few minutes ago. Small explosions all around him, water everywhere, and lightning bolts. But now all that was gone. There was just clouds and the cherry trees. A slight breeze rippled across the courtyard, jarring a few petals loose.

But then...

"JESUS CHRIST!" Razzer yelled, flinching in pain. His arm was burning, as if it had been dipped into molten lava. Looking down at it, his eyes widened in surprise. The scar-like marking on the back of his hand that looked vaguely like a kanji of "half" was glowing bright red, and it hurt like hell.

Razzer yelled out again, standing up quickly and gripping his arm. It was a futile move - putting pressure on his arm wasn't going to make it any less painful.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" He cried, looking around wildly. Why was this happening?

Ashori continued gazing up at the sky, growing a little irritated as she continued her thoughts about what virtual reality was. It obviously wasn't real, since he'd thrown the petals earlier and they hadn't escaped from the room... But then again-

She jumped in alarm at his sudden outburst, head jerking back down to stare. Her eyes widened and she stared around wildly, until she reminded herself they were the only ones present. Growling to herself, she darted forward, pushing herself along with her wings, and then stopped about a foot to his right. "Are you ok?" she hissed. Her hands extended towards him and then froze. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't do anything. At least, not in this state...

Another growl escaped her throat and she reluctantly closed her eyes. A couple seconds later they reopened, staring around in alarm. "Wh-what?!" she gasped, her voice no longer hissing, but now lighter once more. She stared in shock at Razzer's arm and reached her hands towards him again. They were glowing with a faint light, her healing power activating. She didn't know if it'd do anything, or even if he'd allow her to help, but she was going to try.

After a few moments, Laurel shrugged and shut herself into the VR room she had chosen. Walking over to the computer, she began to type in options, her fingers flying. A room appeared around her: glass walls letting sunlight stream in, glinting off the tiny pond in the center of the garden. Spiralling paths wandered through the various plants, and there were butterflies fluttering around here and there. Laurel looked around herself and sighed happily. The only thing missing was people. Gram's greenhouse looked too empty without Gram, Micha, and their parents. She turned back to the computer, and with a single command made it so people could come into the room if they wanted. She usually didn't want company, but she was awfully lonely without her twin. I dunno if I'm gonna hug her or punch her when she finally gets out of the hospital. *Hey! I heard that!* Micha's voice echoed in her head for a minute, then faded. Laurel groaned. Every once in a while, her sister would check up on her...and somehow she always managed to pick the most awkward moments...

Razzer was in so much pain that he barely heard Ashori hiss her concern. He was in no condition to reply, and instead just yelled out as another violent pain wrapped around his arm.

Ashori said something again, but this time her voice was different - it was softer, less... evil. Her hands were glowing and she placed them near Razzer's arm. He'd seen stuff like this before, when Naomi had used her magic on him. It was a healing power.

"Don't... b-...bother..." Razzer gasped, keeping from yelling out more profanities. "...it. Won...t... do anything." He was sure that this pain was different. It wasn't a result of the fight. It was different, both more intense and less real at the same time. It was if it wasn't his pain, but rather he was feeling someone else's.

But that isn't possible...

Clutching his arm tightly, Razzer racked his brains trying to think of why this old mark was hurting so painfully now.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 29, 2006 2:46 pm

Ashori withdrew her hands, watching him anxiously as she clasped them nervously in front of herself. She didn't even bother to cover the red eye again, something she always did when back in this state, too distracted by what was bothering Razzer.

Her eyes darted around the room again before returning to him. She bit her lip softly, wandering if it was something she'd done that had triggered it. She swayed very slightly in place, tail curled around her waist. "Hospital," she said suddenly. "They could... they could do something, right?"

She bit her lip harder, squeezing her eyes shut. It was impossible to block out the sounds of his pain, her ears taking it all in and actually making it louder than it would have been normally. Then she stared at him again, eyes wide. "Are you sure? Are you sure it wouldn't help?" She held up her hands again, but didn't put any power into them until she heard a reply.

And then... and then it was gone. As suddenly and unexpectedly as the searing pain had come, it vanished.

Panting and sweating, Razzer looked at his arm. The mark that had been there for so many years, the mark that would never come off... was gone. As was the pain.

"Wha-what...?" He asked to no one in particular, slumping down onto the bench. Trying to catch his breath, he closed his eyes and just breathed deeply. Why had the pain come? Why was the mark gone? A thousand questions flew through Razzer's mind, questions he knew most of which would probably never be answered...

"I...I'm okay now." he panted, before Ashori could ask. "It's... it's just... I don't know." he admitted. Damnit, he had just fought her, and now was the time for it to look like he was a weak moron?
