I guess it depends alot on the anime. I'd say that as long as it's not TOO bastardized I'd be willing to watch a dub.

For the most part I perfer the the subtitles because I like the original voices better. However, for ones I've never heard the subs for until after I hear the dubs I tend to lead toward the dubs, like InuYasha for example.

Subs definately, for a number of reasons...it almost ruins the show to hear voices from other shows while watching, it is distracting to the mind...Also, many Otaku are loud...its almost impossible to hear the TV if they get hyper enough. . . though dubs are worth it for anyone's lazy side... 3nodding

And with this...I am finished. To re-iterate my veiws...Dubbed over Subbed...but I am not dead set agains subbed. I enjoy it either way.

Horrah for Subs. But the Dubs arn't that bad. Although, their voices are all a bit whiny, so it kind of pisses you off after a while. Not the worst thing in the world when you can't be constantly be checking the screen. I knit teddy bears for kids in third world countries whenever I watch T.V, so Dubs are my friend =)

I'll probaby get shot for saying this: I'm too lazy to read subtitles, so I'm for the dub. Mind you, I've only seen the first seven eps, so I haven't heard how everyone sounds. But I can say that whoever dubs Miaka should be hurt severely with a plunger. That high skweeky voice is the most annoying things I've ever heard. Honestly, it could peel wallpaper! Other than Miaka, everybody else gets a thumbs up for dubbing.

I think subs are much better. Because they explain a lot of things that dubs just makes up for. I love watching anime with them speaking in japanese and subtitles explaining what they said.

Hmm. Well, I originally saw FY in english, and only later got to see it subbed. I really hate Miaka's english voice >< bleh. Anyway, Kanna Nobutoshi, Seki Tomokazu and Kouyasu Takehito are stars in it! How could I turn them down? *glomps* blaugh
....Though...they made a pun that you really couldn't get in english...it's when Miaka is in the Seiryuu shrine...and chichiri says the door is closed....which is the same word for s**t I believe. ^-^
