Not just you. whee I've been wondering about that, too.

IC: "Oh, he'll be back," She says airily, ignoring Wingu entirely now. She's certainly got a mouth on her, and one day it's going to get her into trouble. "So no, thank you," Ciyari finishes, primly. She doesn't need an adult to help her, she thinks, glowering inside. Stupid adults. Her tail gets entangled around an ankle, and she gives it a slight tug to get it un-stuck. It looks like she's not going to say anything, but a crafty little gleam flickers in her eye. She's going to try to twitch these adults and see what happens. "He's probably just getting back from a job."

Good old Kimondo, always looking out for others. Wingu was never that gracious towards newcomers, although she slightly hoped that she had been invited for breakfast. It was doubtful though, because Wingu was very capable of hunting something down herself.

"Okay, I'll play," she announced to the cub wisely. "What sort of jobs does your father take on?" Wingu was interested in what the cub could dream up this time, so she acted as if she were waiting patiently for an answer.

((Internet died... stare ))

Nala jumped back a bit when she saw the lioness look her way. From such a distance she didnt know how it was possible that she could be seen, but then again, tan must stick out a bit against grey stones.. Nala watched as the others interacted, her paws laying over the edge of the rock, wondering what was happening down there.

Kimondo raises a brow and watches the cub curiously. "A job? Would you care to explain?" She was quite interested in hearing what the little one could come up with. Her tail moved and curled around her side as she watched the cub.

[Sorry, bro took comp for a few minutes.]

The little cub eyes Wingu carefully. "I told you before," She says, sounding just a tad miffed that the adult couldn't remmeber. "He's a murderer for hire...or pretty much whatever, it varies. He's then allowed to go about hunting on the pride's territory to get food for him an' me. Otherwise, pridals don't like rogues much." She glowers at this statement, tiny brows knitting together. There generally is enough food to sustain a pride in the lands they travel through; not enough to comfortably support any rogue that passes through and decides to stay awhile. "Sometimes Kings and Queens want to off a kid or two so their eldest doesn't have competition for the throne, or they wanna get rid of rivels, so they get my da' to do it." She's quite enjoying this bloodthirstly little speech...she loves lying almost as much as she loves food.

"A Murderer you say? Well, I highly doubt anyone of from our pride would hire your father, plus, the first cub of the King and Queen was just born, he has no younger siblings to worry about." She spoke with a slight air in her voice that state she wasn't falling for such a ridiculous idea. "Beside's, if your father was a murderer I doubt he would like you walking around and telling everyone about him. Murderer's as I am sure you know, aren't looked upon highly and can often find themselves victim to another murderer and you, as his daughter, would probably find the same fate." She wasn't going to hide anything from the cub, if she could make up a story like she did then she could handle the truth of what would truly happen.

Wingu raises a brow. The little cub had quite an imagination on her, alright. "And do you think anyone here would have hired your father to do such a thing?" she asks of the cub, sounding appalled. "Kimondo's entirely right, a murderer such as your father has no place here. We have no need for one." She was not one to announce that she knew the cub was fatherless. If she wished to make up such things, then Wingu would simply follow along. What harm could it do?

-stretching out of her napping position, Kivuli yawned a bit and looked around her. Today was the day she would find a huntress, and learn to hunt-
"Huntresses!!! Hello???"
-her paws gripped the rock face as she slowly, and cautiously, slid down it into the field-

The gray cub stares mulishly at Kimondo, as if having her suspicions confirmed. "Rogues ain't looked on highly at all, either," The child points out, quite brutally honest - for once. "So I ain't worried about that. An' I can look after myself," She scoffs, her puny little form slinking off several feet, towards the grasses. "I ain't scared of nothin'. My da' an' I don't have some high-'n-mighty pride to look after us, we do what we gotta to get along, an' we do just fine." She gives a tiny toss of her head again - this child is just brimming with hurt arrogance. Her gaze slips towards Wingu. "Well, then, we'll just move on to t'next pride, they might."

She jumps slightly at the sound of another voice. Two's company; and three is starting to become a crowd, especially if it's another adult. The lithe gray cub starts to slink off towards the thick grasses, muddy tail trailing behind her. She'll watch from a safe distance.

Wingu rolls her eyes a slight bit, arrogant in her ways. "I have a feeling that one'll be back," she whispered lightly to Kimondo. After having done so, the lioness stood up, still hungry for something fresh. "Are you up for a hunt? I'm starving." Wingu didn't really bother to wait for Kimondo's answer and started away from the watering hole, figuring that the other could follow if she wished.

((I hate my computer, I hate my computer, I hate my computer, I hate my computer.. X.x))

Intently Nala watched from her perch, high away from the on goings. Watching the little gray cub stalk off into the grass, she wondered about their conversation and what had just happened.
