It was at this point that Ubel came sliding into the infirmary, squeaking as he stumbled and nearly fell. Then he composed himself, making his way until he found Grave, Mathiaz, and Tryna, peeking in carefully. "Grave...?" he asked softly, biting his lip in worry.

Grave looked up happily when he saw Ubel's face peering down at him. "Hi, Ubel...how re you? Did you get hurt in the game too?" Grave asked frettfully, although at a glance, Ubel looked fine.

"No, no... I'm fine," whispered Ubel, stepping forward quickly and looking over Grave, not wanting to touch him for fear of either hurting him more or smearing paint on him. "I just... spirits, I got scared when I saw them bring you here.." He smiled weakly, running a hand through his hair, messing it up even more and jingling the beads lightly.

Grave smiled and sighed, immediately wishing he hadn't as the pain shot through his ribs. "Do you think you could help me with this salve?" Grave struggled to sit up, pulling at the clasps on his bracer and trying fruitlessly to shimmy out of his shirt.

"B-be careful!" Ubel said quickly, reaching out to steady Grave, slowly but surely helping him to sit up. "Just sit there, okay? Lemme wash my hands." He shuffled off for a minute, and returned mostly clean, other than paint in his hair and on his clothes. Then he got to work on gently pulled off Grave's shirt, setting it aside, eyes softening and a tiny whimper escaping him at the sight of the welts.

"Aw, the welts don't matter too much," Grave said, hoping to reassure his friend. "They're just a bit of a nuisance. It's this damn hand that's bothering me. Tryna's set it and all, but I still have to wait another day for it to fully heal." He smiled up sheepishly and then bowed his head, feeling very helpless. The tables were turned weren't they, and now Ubel was taking care of him. This wasn't how it was supposed to be... Grave cursed himself for having managed to hurt himself so thouroughly in a stupid game.

Ubel blinked slowly at Grave, before leaning in to peer up at the other, offering a smile. "Hey... Cheer up. It could be worse," he whispered, blushing faintly and daring a soft kiss to the other's lips. Then he sat up again and picked up the salve, humming softly as he sat on the edge and began to work on applying it to Grave's skin wherever he deemed he needed it.

Aysel peered back into the infirmary, still feeling very guilty...and was just in time to see Ube kiss Grave. She froze a couple steps in, feeling like she was intruding... should she turn and go? No, she decided, Grave got enough of Ube...and she was here to check on Grave, anyway. And so, she resumed her pace, smiling guardedly as she approached them. "Hello, Grave. 'Lo, Ube."

Ubel looked up in surprise when Aysel spoke, before smiling warmly as he paused in applying the salve. "Ay! I would hug you, but I don't think you want this," he wiggled his fingers at her, "mixed in with your fantastic painting on your clothes."

"Oh, shush you..." She replied, making a face and giggling. "Wargames get messy..." And then, she remembered just how messy, and glanced again at Grave, biting her lip and waiting for him to acknowledge her.

Grave smiled when he felt Ubel's lips on his, but the feeling was dashed amoment later when Aysel walked in. Oh, for crying out loud, what did she want now? Grave nodded stiffly to her and mumbled a hello. Well, this was awkward. Grave didn't want to do anything to upset Ubel, if it was true he and Aysel were friends...still, he was not about to forgive her for her cruel comments. He dropped his eyes to his hands while he debated on what to do.

Ubel laughed softly to Aysel, leaning in to kiss her cheek, before settling beside Grave again, smile fading a bit as she gave him a curious look. But he didn't want to drag his upset into the open, so he merely resumed putting the salve on his skin again, humming very quietly.

You are feeling better, then..?" she asked Grave formally, smiling as Ube kissed her cheek and ruffling his hair affectionately. "You...weren't so well, when we brought you here...and especially not before. But...at least you look a little better."

Grave didn't look up when he answered. His voice was low and filled with something, but what emotion was hard to say. "I'll be fine. Tryna says by tomorrow, this hand will be okay to use again." He winced a little as Ubel slathered a welt incured from someone's dud. "Thanks Ubel." Grave added softly.

"Just so you know..." Aysel murmured, flushing a bit in embaressment, "I am sorry for the way I acted. It was childish of me, but I suppose I just got caught up in the game. "I'll leave you two be, now, as I feel that I'm imposing...but Ube, please? If you find a spare moment, you're always welcome to come and see me." She nodded politely to the two of them, though her smile didn't reach her eyes. Waving a hand at the two, she fled- to the arena, she thought grimly, to burn off some of this jealous energy.
