sorry if any bush supports are here
but I think the fire nation is like bush the want the power over another contries I don't know if they want oil but they proublay want money

3nodding They want power. Isn't that what every human wants deep inside?

Thats also a good analogy!! Bush is trying to brainwash people with fake terrorist schemes to cover up his real goal:OIL. Just like some people in america the citezens of the fire nation must belive what Ozi is doing is right. Like bush wanting power over other contries Ozi wants power over the other nations. The difference is bush is using under handed plots to take over and Ozi is going for the direct conquring approach , wich i think is better actually confused . I think your right about every human wanting power Ceres. I find myself falling wishing i had the power to control water like a waterbender sweatdrop . But their are some things humans arnt ment to tamper with.
wow this talk about avatar has lead us on a phicalogical and political conversation eek

*nods* Bush is just trying to justify a war just to line his pockets in money.
.this my be off topic and i do suport the war
basical you are say iraq would be better of with sadam in power?

Even though this is off topic, I feel I must correct you.

Nobody is saying that Sadam should be in power.
Quite the contrary, many people believe he is a terrible and evil person.

However, there was absolutely no reason for us to jump to war with Iraq.
This war has nothing to do with terrorism...
Iraq did not attack us on 9/11. They did not have weapons of mass distruction.

Bush is trying to finish what his father started years ago...
And yes, it has everything to do with oil.

While I agree with you that it is a good thing Sadam is no longer in power,
I must disagree with your support of the war.
Thousands of people have died because of this war...
OUR people...
(Don't get me wrong, I support the soldiers... Just not the war.)

In truth, we really had no right to just jump in and start attacking.
It may seem like we've done a good thing...
But all that's been done is senseless slaughter for oil and land.

And as for the Iraqis adopting our political system...
*shakes head in shame*
I just wonder when we, as a country, are going to stop forcing our customs on others.

Diversity is one of the many wonderful things that makes this world great.
Could you imagine every country like ours?
There would be no more culture or beauty to anything anymore...

Go ahead, call me a hippy.
But like I said,
I agree that Sadam was a terrible and evil person...
It is great that he is out of power...

However, the reasons behind the war were corrupt and immoral and so...
I must disagree with the war itself...

I wonder why they attacked though.
It might be for land because I was looking at the map and I think that the Fire Nation has the smallest amount of land and its surrounded by water on all sides and not part of the main lands like all the others are (except for a few little bits but you know what I mean.)

Has anyone ever mentioned what there long term goals are?

well, must say that i think that the leaders of the fire nation r the only bad guys. go back to the episod when katara meets that boy that lives in the trees. all of those poor fire nation people were going to die but sakka went and saved them all. they were really nice people.
