She shook her head softly as she tilted it back to face him. "It was...more like a memory...in a way..." She sighed. It hadn't been a real memory, after all her mother hadn't been there that night. She turned away then stood very slowly. She didn't want to risk falling asleep again, there was no way she was going to go back to that dream. "It looks like...the storm is dying down..." She said taking note that the thunder was less frequent and much quieter now.

He was still curious and more than a little concerned, but he knew better than to press the issue. He himself hated it when people put their nose in other peoples' business, so he wasn't about to force her to talk about something that she obviously wanted to forget. Still, it didn't stop him from worrying.
He followed suit and heaved himself up onto all four legs with a small grunt of effort, shaking his coat free of the dirt and dust that had accumulated there. Golden irises softened into something that was a mixture of sadness, longing, and regret as they fell upon the mare's form, and an almost inaudible sigh fell from his lips as he shook his head to clear his thoughts. "Are you all right, miss Luna?"

"I'm fine..."She said shaking her head as she lowered it looking as if she might throw up and in truth she felt that she might. All the memories that were flooding her being in this place, being with him. They were all mixed up and mixed together recent and past. She lifted her head and swayed a little as a bit of dizzyness overcame her.
She looked pathetically at Shadow. This wasn't supposed to happen. she wasn't supposed to have seen anyone this night. It wasn't supposed to rain, she wasn't supposed to fall asleep, and she certinally wasn't supposed to have this fluttery feeling just looking at him.
"We should leave..."She said after quite a long silence. "This place is making me...feel...strange..."

He was growing more concerned by the second, and it showed through the conflicted expression on his ebony features as he took a hesitant step forward. The look she gave him tugged on his heartstrings in the same way it had when she'd had her nightmare, and his features softened. When she started to sway, he was by her side in an instant, directing her to lean against him as he peered out into the storm.
"Are you sure you want to go out into the storm? I don't know if we'll be able to find shelter anywhere else..."

Myoa flew gently through the sky. There were strong winds about, but she didn't mind. She flexed her powerful wings and streaked through the dark sky.
A rolled of thunder boomed behind her. It was starting to drizzle gently. She decided to go ahead and land. She dropped herself gracefully in a field, and folded her wings. It suddenly started raining heavily, and she spotted a distant cave. She quickly approached it.

Lunathiel paused trying to pick the right path in the maze of her mind. If she stayed here she'd be safe from the storm but in danger of her self. Out in the storm, she get soaked but she might have no need to worry about her past any longer. That wasn't absolute though. "I don't know..." she closed her eyes half way a slightly pained look spreading across her elegant features. Not of a physical ailment but of a mental one.
She looked out into the storm and her mind was made up as she saw a figure approaching. She let out a wail and ran to the back of the cave for a second time that night watching in terror as the winged figure continued in their direction. "Mo...mother..." She whimpered gazing at the siluated wings.

He was instantly back on full alert as he observed her features crumble as she cried out and darted back into the cave. "Miss Luna?" he called, worried enough for it to show through his voice as he took a cautious step forward. A glint of shiny viridian out of the corner of his eye drew his attention out towards the cave entrance, however, and he watched curiously as he made out the form of another winged mare.
The soft exclamation of surprise from Luna baffled him as he turned his head to look at her, golden eyes widening in shock. 'Mother?' The green winged mare didn't look old enough to be anyone's mother, and the two hardly looked alike at all... was she hallucinating or something? Torn between greeting their visitor and comforting his new friend, he chose the latter, trotting to her side and nudging her carefully in a gesture of reassurance. "It's all right, miss Luna, don't be frightened... I'm here, remember?"

Myoa nearly jumped out of her now soaked coat with surprise. Mother? What was going on? "Umm. Excuse me?" she asked uncertainly, not sure what she was supposed to do. The light blue mare had obviously mistaken her for somebody, and was clearly shaken up. The dark stallion was just as baffled as she was. "Um, I'm guessing it'd be better if I try to find shelter elsewhere?" Myoa suggested, not wishing to cause a riot.

As the second mare entered the cave Luna hid herself behind Shadow the best she could. Her ear twitched although it was still pinned straight back to her head. She shifted a little to examine the other female from saftey, behind the stallion. It was a lime green mare, she had wings but no horn. Still quivering a bit she let out a relieved breath.
It was not her mother, she was only a wind, not an alicorn as her mother was. She thought for a moment that she should introduce herself, or at least appologize but as the female had scared her she decided against it. "I...I know...thank you." She lowered her head and burried it in Shadow's coat.

There it was again, that unfamiliar protective instinct rising up in him again... maybe he felt it his duty as a stallion to protect this mare? That was possible... but not very likely. Shrugging it off for the moment, he lowered his head to make the familiar gesture of reassurance, nosing aside her forelocks so he could see her eyes, and offering a warm smile. "I won't let anything happen to you. I promise."
Stepping away to greet the mare, his trademark lopsided grin adorned obsidian features as he performed his usual dramatic bow, dipping onto one knee before straightening again. "Greetings, miss. I am Shadow, and this here," he gestured towards the mare behind him, "is miss Luna. What brings you to our shelter?"

Myoa smiled. "Hello Miss Luna, Sir Shadow, I am called Myoa...I was simply looking for shelter from the rain, however, if my being here is a porblem, I'll gladly go." She sighed, still uncertain of what to do. The cave was big enough to hold a few Soquili, but she didn't wish to intrude.

Lunathiel peered at the other mare keeping in her safe zone, out of veiw. She wanted to say something along the lines of 'don't go...' but her mouth wouldn't open. Something about the other female made her nervous and strangely angered. Perhaps it was the storm making her this way or maybe her own dilusions. Either way as she met eyes with the wind female her own hues narrowed giving her face an unusual harshness.

He could feel the tension in the small cave rise dramatically as the two females' gazes met, and he was completely oblivious as to why there was a sudden air of unfriendliness about them. He looked back at Luna for her confirmation, but seeing her unable to say anything, he made the assumption that she was fine with it, and turn back to the winged mare. He dipped his head with a warm smile, stepping back to gesture that she was welcome to come in. "It's all right, miss Myoa, we would enjoy your company if you wish to stay. No one should be out wandering in this storm."

"Thank you, Sir Shadow." Myoa smiled, hoping to lighten the mood. She felt the other mare tense up, but she didn't know why. Myoa dropped her gaze first. She sighed, still confused and unsure. She cautiously walked further in, gracefully and silently.

As the short maned mare approached Lunathiel turned away and walked the few steps to stand before Shadow's throat. She was a little confused about her hostality toward the other mare but it just felt right to her like she was meant to be this defensive. "So, Myoa, why are you out here at this time of night...and in a storm?" Her musical voice was very suspicious as were her eyes. Of both the mare and her intent.
