He felt guilt squeeze at his heart and he scolded himself silently for his selfishness. She was the new one around here, not him. He should be helping her and giving her confidence to go meet the royals, not the other way around. Swallowing silently he tilted his head to the side slightly with great effort so he wasn't hiding his gaze anymore. Looking a little nervous, but resolved he murmured, "N-no...I'll come with you...it'd be silly of me to stay way, wouldn't it?" He tried to add a lighter tone to the last bit, but his voice only managed to do so half-heartedly.

She tilted her head, and looked at him. Even that effort din' work. "U-uhm.." Isi nodded, slower this time. "Okay then, cool!" The lioness was now oblivious to any pain he was in. He was coming! Her grin filled her small face, and she beamed. "Thats great! Thats like, awesome! We should probably leave in a little bit, I think? And there is a bunch of stuff to get.. I should probably get clean.. maybe. On second thought, I'm good the way I am.." Isi babbled on, grinning idioticly.

Jini let out a small breath and continued to smile at her weakly as she became excited. Her energy made his smile a little more genuine and less sheepish but...he could still feel the knots of his nerves tightening in his gut. He could pretend that it was no big deal all he liked but...he couldn't squash his shy nature. But it seemed he'd have to squirm inwardly instead of doing so where all could see. He didn't want to upset Isi...coming to the pridelands should be something happy for her after all.

"I'm sure however you go it'll be fine..." Jini said with a sheepish grin, his ears flickering to the side slightly. He was doing his best to be encouraging.

Isi's grin seemed bigger then her face. She couldn't wait! They would love her, probably. Hopefully. What if they didn't? Her grin became a frown as the lioness realized that they didn't have to accept her.. they could turn her down. "Wait.. what if they don't like me?" Isi whimpered, and turned to Jini, not hearing his last sentence. Images of her being all alone again flashed through her mind. She did not want to be alone again. Ever.

"They'll like me.. won't they?"

Jini blinked in surprise at her sudden worry. She had been so happy just a moment ago that he was prepared for her distress. "Of course they'll like you," he said soothingly, his voice not weighted down by his own worries for once. He sounded pretty sure, as if it were something simple and he wasn't sure why she was asking. Feeling his shock finally drift away he caught himself. "Ah...!" Tilting his head to the side he offered a sweet, reasuring smile, "You'll do just fine." How could they not accept someone as kind hearted as her?

Okay, Isi was a bit.. tempermental. Not like Bi-polar, but still... Exciteable was a good word for it. "O'kay.." She smiled weakly, still not quite so sure. She knew she was a bit.. different. Like a cub. But was that a good thing? "Okay.. I guess.." The lioness smiled, a little more sure of herself. "Thanks." A little purr rumbled in her throat, and just like that, she was content again. "Should we set out soon?" Isi asked, blinking.

Although Jini felt his insides squirm uncomfortably at the idea of going so soon, he nodded his head. His smile faultered slightly, but not enough to make a big deal of it. He might not be as confident as his mother, but he sure had her stubborn nature. He had made up his mind...he'd go with her because...well obviously it made her happy. "Uh...yeah..." he murmured, bumbling to his feet in a clumsy, dorky fashion. He just wasn't very cordinated with anything, was he?

Isi grinned and nuzzled him lightly, before standing up and stretching. She wanted to get there was soon as physically possible. "Can we leave now? We should get there by like, tonight, I think." That huge rock, the one named after the Pride.. it seemed closer, and she couldn't wait to feel the hard surafce of it. Any doubts she had before had been vanquished by Jini's kind words.

Jini felt heat jump into his face right away at her nuzzle. He hadn't been expecting that. He swallowed and struggled to get words to answer her question, but his tongue felt numb for a moment. He stumbled to his feet, almost falling over in the process, his white ears pressed against his skull. Finally he managed a "S-sure!" without really thinking about what he was saying. Ah well...they were going to have to go there sometime. Might as well start now.

Isi blinked and leaned back. "Are you okay?" Why was he stumbling and stuff? "Oh, great! Thats awesome.. So.. It's that way." She said, nodding in the direction where the great Boulder loomed. The lioness quickly started bounding towards it, letting out little roar-purrs of delight. Wait..
"Jini?" She skidded to a stop, and turned back to him, to make sure he followed.

'Y-yeah!" Jini assured her quickly, feeling embaressed at his handling of his own paws like a newborn. He quickly bounded after her in earnest to catch up. "I'm coming!" And so they headed to Priderock, much to the dismay of Jini's twisting nerves.

(( And close? xD ))
