http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=1&t=6311241#86448762[PRP] Reflections (Shimsek and Pride) Oct. 25 06 PhoenixGuardianMikazuki After that eventful meeting with Shinzu, Shimshek was, again, just merely wandering around, but she was back to her old self... somewhat. She was, once again, admiring her glistening coat, how it glowed in the moonlight, and, during the daylight, it sparkled beautifully. Today was a beautiful, bright sunlit day, and she wasn't about to pass it up being a morbid fool. Her thoughts returned to the blue kalona stallion she had met a few nights ago, and lightly blushed to herself. She couldn't quite figure out that emotion; it felt similar to what she had felt for Artemis Entreri, yet at the same time, it felt different.
Anyway, what did she care at the moment? All she cared about was making sure her coat was spotless, and that she would always look beautiful. It had been her purpose before she met certain Soquili, and she decided she'd keep that purpose; at least, for the moment. She could feel the shivers of joy coating over her with the smell of oncoming winter; obviously her favorite season, as she had grown up in the icy mountain tops. Flexing her wings slowly, she continued a leisurely walk around the area, searching for a pool of clear water to admire her form.
Hm. She was getting narcissitic... but she was like that before, so why not? Heh... As Pride ((we are not sure if we are going to keep that name, LOL)) gleamed in the sky, he continuously gazed at the stars and compared his beauty to their tiny shimmers. His hair danced behind him as he shifted left and right, and he enjoyed feeling his gorgeous movements.
He looked below him at the uneventful creatures he passed. He watched them stare at him, awefully, and he sucked in their expressions one by one. He knew he was brilliant, and he was just participating in the many flights he would take day to day, doing the same thing. 'Its exhausting being perfect', which was something he would tell himself constantly.
It was about time for him to make his rounds to a pool or stream, for he needed to check and make sure he looked alright. As he swooped down carefully, he noticed another figure absorbing herself in the stream. His first thoughts were to fly away to a different one because this was a personal ritual. His mind though was soon changed, especially when he noticed it was a mare. He was in the mood for a good flirt, and for some well needed attentionPhoenixGuardianMikazuki All thoughts were mostly either focused on herself or Shinzu; she wasn't really paying attention to anything else. She also preferred to stick to simple thoughts, which, of course, were mainly herself, or that blue kalona she met a few days earlier on. Had she actually paid more attention to her surroundings, she would have seen that another gorgeous kalona had dropped by.
Usually, she did, but tonight was the time she was too preoccupied with... other things. Herself, especially. She smiled to herself at her reflection, and then looked up with a light laugh. She couldn't believe she sounded so narcissitic. But hey, it was fun, and interesting. Comparing yourself to others was a lot of hard work, especially if you tried to keep your coat beautiful...
...and that was when she noticed her new companion. "Well, hello," she said casually, carefully watching him. Something gave her the impression that this stallion had very similar thoughts to hers about himself, but what?((XD I couldn't think of anything to really call him besides Pride; what ARE you guys going to name him?)) Ariston watched the soquili in front of him shift from looking at herself to towards him. He knew that by her eyes that he was the focus now, and it made him feel better. He would always be the spotlight, and he knew it.
"Hello there, my name is Ariston." He noticed her silky white complexion, as well as gold tipped wings. "I see you were quite busy, I am sorry for intruding." He playfully smiled, but then made his way a few paces over, and shook his head, watching his pefect hair fall into place by the mirror of the stream. He watched the sun fade over his golden body, and he flexed for a second, and then rested, knowing his perfection. He then turned back to the mare, watching her eyes continue to absorb him. "What brings you to my stream Miss...?"((Ariston means excellence in Greek I think ^ww^)) PhoenixGuardianMikazuki "Shimshek," she spoke smoothly, looking away. Something about him disturbed her, but she found it highly amusing. And so she turned her attention back to him. "Your stream? That's new; I thought this stream had no master." She snorted to herself, and tossed her mane, fluttering her eyes at this new stallion. "You're a handsome fellow, my good sir. Ariston, is it? My, it fits you perfectly!"
Tch, she thought, wondering if she was ready to play another game of flirting, this is almost too easy... he seems almost too caught up with himself to actually be smart... Not that she was any better, when she had first come to these lands. "I'm here at this free stream because I like to admire myself, thank you. I'm the epitome of beauty in all mares!" Okay, she didn't want to sound uppity but heck, she'd take any chance with this Ariston. "I only call it my stream because I come here often." He nodded, watching her toss her mane. She had a personality that amused him, so he decided to continue. "Yes, I am indeed handsome.." He drifted off, staring at himself again in stream. He knew he was perfect, to every inch of him. When he turned back to her, he said, "Shimshek you say," he paused a second, actually focusing off himself, "That is a lovely name."
He eyed her as she finished talking. "Well, it is good to always think such things." He nodded, as if consulting her. "One should always care about their beauty, especially if you are born with it. At least if you are the epitome of all mares, then we are not in competition." He winked at her, and focused his attention on his hair in the stream. PhoenixGuardianMikazuki If Ariston was as asmused as she was, then this "game" was actually getting to be quite fun. It wasn't dangerous, and they both agreed on one thing. "Perhaps I'm not in competition, and that's all very well, but I know a few others who might be in competition with you, Ariston." And quite well she knew; there were many stallions out there who were just as, or even more than, handsome as Ariston. Not that she would tell him that; he seemed to radiate perfection; something she strived for on a daily basis.
"So that's why you call this your stream," she agreed. "It makes perfect sense, of course; I travel many places to find others who will admire my beauty; after all, a perfection like myself needs to have at least a few fans." She had an underlying bit of sarcasm on her last few words; though she meant every word she said. She cared nothing for fans; they could offer her a rosebush and she'd only glance at them for a thank you and move on. She cared nothing to be in the spotlight (though that was often a bonus), and on the contrary to her personality, she preferred loyalty over idiotic loving of oneself.
She was a completely contradictional mare; her inside loathed her outside, what with it's flirtatious attitude and constant need of having to be perfect in looks. She shrugged off her hidden thoughts and returned to the present. "I am, however, in competition with other mares; I may be the epitome of beauty, but there are others whom I must surpass still to achieve such a high, priveledged goal." She eyed Ariston up and down. "You seem quite confident; have you reached that perfection? I envy you, if you have." "There is no competition, Miss." He snapped, showing a bit of his Kalona side. He truly looked beautiful when he was able to display the imagery of a real Kalona. "You may think what you wish, and try twist my thoughts, but I stay true to what I know is true." He raised his head higher and radiated through his scornful but confident expression.
"A few fans?" He laughed to himself, watching her eye him in the process. "It should be about everybody constantly admiring you, but you obviously have not reached that mindset yet. Me, I was born with it, as well as my beauty." He chuckled again, imagining life with only 'a few fans'.
"Of course I have reached that perfection, how many times must I repeat it?" Hm, just another, he thought to himself. She obviously had a long way to go if she didn't even have enough confidence to say she was more lovely than him. "Envy me, then. Learn from it, and impress me. I am interested to see how well you can surpass the others, if that is your wish.."
His twisted but beautiful mind was being poisened by the Kalona blood in him. Instead of ignoring the mare and wanting to just stare at himself as he had planned, he felt a sense of greed, a greed that longed for Shimshek's struggle of beauty.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki She felt more insulted than inspired by Ariston's challenge. How dare he! She was satisfied and happy; to reach what his level of thinking for beauty would be a dream come true... if that was her only goal in life. Perhaps she wasn't "born" with the beauty as he so declared, but she knew a few things that not even a Kalona could scare her off with; such as, well, say, this... "Competition? None? Than how can you say you have the upmost perfection? That's hardly possible! You'd have to have at least one rival, my dear."
She grinned a wicked grin, which was quite becoming of one with her personality. "I'll not twist your thoughts; perhaps you think I am, but I'm not. I express my opinions differently than you, after all. Stay true all you want; I'm not stopping you. But perhaps I should shed some light on my situation, Ariston," his name was stressed with a sneer, "I've a perfection you could never hope to have. You may not understand my meaning, but, if you try hard enough (if you even want to bother to try, that is), than maybe you'll also see how far I've gone."
Again, she was making no sense; not only had she discarded what she'd spoken of before, but now she was enjoying herself; she couldn't help it. It wasn't often she found "competition" with someone, much less a male Kalona at that, but this male in front of her was making her feel things she hadn't felt for the longest time, ever since she came down from her mountainous home. She stuck her nose in the air. "I'll prove to you in a month's time how quickly I can achieve your challenge. And I will meet you here, at "your" stream, same time, same place where I stand now... and no one will be the wiser. Heh."
A lasting smirk, one that could be imprinted into a mind forever. Her smirk slowly shifted into a sly smile. "For you, your challenge is to discover the perfection that I do have... in a month's time. If not, that means I've won..." She decided to keep quiet on the trophy part of this "bet", wanting to know what Ariston would want to win before asking for her own prize. Things have gotten a lot more interesting... Ariston stared off for a second, trying to conclude to himself what competition he 'had'. "I don't compare myself to anything except for perfection, so how could I compare myself to someone else when I know they are nowhere as close to what I am?" He let out a twisted grin. It was true though, he never was one who compared himself to anybody else, or would even think about that option. "Because you compare yourself to others, you are making a judgement that only exists in your mind." He stared at her, more serious this time then before. Ariston knew he had a 'dumb act' that he enjoyed using to get attention, but for this discussion he decided to drop it and act serious.
He tilted his head at her next comment, and was utterly confused. "Of course, you may have a perfection that I may never understand, and that is your problem. If you really want others to acknowledge your perfection, why are you hiding it instead of flaunting it, especially if it really meant that much to you?" At this point, Ariston wasn't really feelng as twisted as before, at this point, he was starting to feel...bad..for her.
"The only thing I think you need to prove is 'what you are looking for' in yourself." Ariston was still interested in some kind of silly challenge, but at this point, by the looks in her eyes he was taken aback by how serious she was acting. "I don't think it is possible for me to discover a perfection that you have." He said, looking away. "How can I, if it seems like you don't even know yourself." He looked back at her, feeling uneasy at the mare. Never had he experienced such a crazed mind, and it was starting to make him queasy. ((ZOMG ARISTON SHOWS FEELINGS rofl )) PhoenixGuardianMikazuki He got her there. His first question was a good one, and for a moment Shimshekf found herself at a loss for words... but only for a moment. "Except for perfection? Ha! Perfection in your terms... I wish I could see it your way. Then I wouldn't have any problems." She returned his twisted grin with one of her own wicked ones. "Only in my mind? That's advice both old and new." She noticed he stared at her, but more in contemplation than admiration. Hm... he seemed to have dropped some kind of mask he had on earlier... he looked serious.
And then she wondered if the guy was ever serious... before then remembereing that Ariston was a Kalona... you could never quite tell with that breed of Soquili. "Why do I hide it? Do you think I have a perfection?" she questioned. Was she hiding her perfection? She hadn't thought of it that way before. "It means a lot to me... and meeting you seems to reinforce it, but at the same time, something's holding me back." Shimshek had no idea what was holding her back, either. "Perhaps I will prove that." She glared at him. "Look at me, Ariston. You seem to excel in the topic of perfection.
"Tell me what you see." Do you see a proud mare who knows what you know? Or do you see a mare who has fallen...? Her silent thoughts remained unspoken. When he had looked away for a bit, she got the feeling he was thinking of something that would, one, describe her inner conflictions, or two, scream that she was a crazy wind mare, one who didn't know what she was doing. Shimshek chose choice two, but wanted to know this proud stallion's opinion. "What do you see, Ariston? Perfection? Do you think I've achieved it in your terms?"
...At least she'd found someone who could tell her right on, instead of her having to dance around the idea and get a thorough answer from some random, idiotic Soquili. He put his gaze back on her, and his royal but violet eyes watched hers carefully. What is going on, he thought to himself. What was this mare doing to herself. "What you have isn't perfection. I thought I just explained that?" He sighed and then put his eyes on her again. "I just tried to explain to you that you are no where close to the mindset that I have. All of your ramblings.. they are making me crazy! I see why you want to come to me for this..opinion.. but at the same time, how can you deserve one?" He knew that sounded harsh, but the mare asked for it. She wanted the truth? Then he would give it to her.
"Prove what??" He tilted his head again, and felt his head want to explode. "You are driving me crazy?!" He shook his beautiful mane to try to get such disgusting questions out. "How could you even hope of being perfect if you sit here asking yourself such nonsense all the time." He was starting to get disgusted, and this mare in front of him stood for everything he wasn't. She was showing how inferior she was by comparing herself to her crazy mind.
"What do I see?" He then felt himself get composed again, and his smile returned to is beautiful curve. He was careful, because he wanted truth to come out. "I see complete inperfection. Utterly incomplete. Why? I will explain. Beauty is a step that comes after acception. You are no where close to even the first step. You keep comparning yourself to nonsens, so like I said, how can you expect me to take you seriously." He was starting to get sick of this discussion, and he just couldn't deal with this lack of beauty anymore. "Of course beauty is on the outside. But if you don't see it, why should I?" He flipped his tail, starting to dwell back into his own mind. He was done trying to connect with this mare, for it seemed like she wasn't even listening. He felt warmer knowing he had none of these issues, for they were disgusting.PhoenixGuardianMikazuki "What disgusts me is your lack of completely beauty within and without. All I see is that you have a beauty without, and lack a perfection that you haven't any hope to achieve." Her mind was a whirl with thoughts, even as his words cut through her like a Kalona's sharp horns... oh, wait, she was already speaking with a Kalona...
...One that was slowly driving her crazy with his... his... 'perfection'. "I guess I'm nowhere near your mindset... and you aren't anywhere near mine, either. Our thoughts are more different than I thought... heh. Heheheh..." She could feel lifeless laughter begin to bubble from her, but she held it back as best she could.
"You see no beauty, you see imperfection. Then perhaps we both see something we agree on, after all~" She closed in on him, silver eyes looking at him critically before she back away, a sly smile on her face. "Do you feel better?" She flicked an ear. "Am I still driving you crazy?
"...Just like you're doing to me?" He felt his body begin to boil. He had started out trying to understand the foolishness of this mare, and even help her out, but now he was extremely pissed at her attitude. "Personally I am done wasting my time with you." His eyes were scornful now, and he rarely let his harshness out. "Its like I am speaking to a five year old, you are not taking anything I am saying in. I tried to be civil, but all it has brought for me is a terrible headache." He sneered his teeth, giving a different and frightening presence to the air.
It felt good for him, to let this constant rage that he kept inside out at times. "Of course I see inperfection," he said, as he started flapping his wings into the now chilly air. "it is staring straight at me." His body started to gradually raise into the air, and his perfect mold of gold hair clung next to his face beautifully. "Honestly girl, what do you expect me to say to you? Its like you came here for an answer that doesn't exist. You are the one who needs to think." His brilliant white body started rising higher into he air, and he watched her, feeling more relief the farther he got. PhoenixGuardianMikazuki Was he running away? "Running away, are we? Well, that's fine by me." She didn't know what had gotten into her, but, like him, she moved her wings so that she also rose into the air, and even though his graceful ascension into the air was beautiful, it went over her head... she ignored it. She was flying opposite the direction he was going, and she found that better.
"I'm not listening to you or taking in your words because they're no help," she retorted. "You give painful advice--words, I admit, are true--but they aren't what I'm seeking. You gave me a good direction to look at though." It was time she took off... she really needed to find someone who could deal with her complicated, tortured mind.
"Well, all in all, it was a pleasure to meet you, Ariston... I think I might have learned more from you than I have from anyone else." But I won't thank you for it! A whinny of goodbye, and off she went. Perhaps I made things too complicated...

In Thread RP! Kalona time twisted devilnightshade Shade: *chuckles lightly and shakes her mane* Ariston- >.> @ Shade. No nasty comments tonight, my lovely? Meeki Wrath landed beside Ariston, careful to avoid stepping on his own hair. It was entirely too long for his own good but he loved to flaunt it around Ariston and so he did. He loved trying to piss his friend off. It was almost as enjoyable as pissing off those he didn't like. Almost.devilnightshade Looks over to Ariston and grins slightly "not tonight my dear." She aised an eyebrow at the new presence and spotted the beautiful stallion land. She eyed him quietly but didn't move a muscle. Ariston gleamed as he saw Wrath appear. "My love, it is so nice to see you!" He knew his "gay" persona made Wrath crazy each time he did it. He cringed for a second, with the expression his other ugly, evil features which flowed in his very blood. "You almost stepped on my hair >.>" He scoffed.
He then turned to Shade. "How boring, Wrath gets all of the attention." He chuckled, but then quickly glared towards her. Quiddie! Calamity landed loudly and without any of his normally-pretentious attempts at grace and flourish. His white fur was dirty and askew, and his own glorious mane harrassed beyond recognition. He was cut, bleeding in places still, but visibly relieved. He was home now, and that was the important thing.
He would have flown back to his own little clearing in the woods, but despite his state he was still inexorably drawn to a gathering of kalona. Their collective scent rang more unfamiliar than ever. There were...new kalona?
Spotting Shade, he let the barest grin of approval twitch at the corner of his mouth. To the two strange stallions, he nodded and grunted softly in greeting, his breath still ragged from the arduous journey. devilnightshade ((*hops onto Quiddie*)) Shade paused her nostrils had caught Cal's scent before he even landed. She turned her head back to see him and her breeath caught, he looked terrable ragged and boody but att he same time he was still beautiful. Bidding the two stallions goodbye she pranced twoards him letting out a rather happy whinney in greeting.Meeki Wrath took a few steps forward and tossed his hair back behind him, flaunting that it's quite a bit longer than Ariston's. "How can you even know what love is, when you only care for yourself," Wrath scolded. "Besides, love is $#@! ridiculous. $#@#!@ love and everything it @#$@#! stands for. I hate that word." Wrath growled in anger though at no one in particular. Ariston bared his perfectly white teeth at Wrath, and giggled. "Silly, it is just an expression. OF COURSE, I will always love myself more." He winked and stared at the other white Kalona that had landed. "What is this? Another male.. >.>"
He watched that Shade's expression changed, and laughed out loudMeeki Wrath felt the bile creep up into this throat when the female Kalona practically danced her way over to the male. He could almost see flowers bloom and butterflies come out of their cocoons. Even the supposedly badass races were falling in love. What the @$@#! was up with this place. What the @#@# was wrong with everyone? It was like some damn disease spreading throughout the land. Who was behind this evil? Quiddie! Calamity welcomed Shade's attentions with a short intake of breath. Wasn't she the reason he'd delayed his journey so long in the first place? "It's very, very good to see you again, Shade."
His voice was hoarse and gravelly, but gentle towards her. To the pristine pale stallion eyeing him incredulously, Cal lifted his chin proudly (much to the chagrin of the vertebrae in his back, which groaned and popped audibly were one near enough to hear it).
"Yes, another one, and no stranger to these lands, unlike yourself. My name is Calamity."
Where he normally would have followed with a smart-a** remark, Calamity bit his tongue. For once. It was strange to even him. ((Hey friends! I've been convinced by IRL friends to find a happy-medium between Gaia and real life. brb. Ice cream run! ^^ )) Ariston looked over to see Wrath acting up even more than usual. "Oh goodness, you look like you are going to burn up!" He fanned his wings over Wrath, hoping to cool him down while displaying himself beautifully. He glared at the other Kalona, knowing it was their doing.
(edit) He looked over to Calamity, and put his head down for a second saying " I am Ariston. Hello." [ Lady Kiya ] Cualtzin looked at the one who looked more like a normal soquili, though he had wings and horns. "Why hello there, friend!" He started to flick his tail back and forth much like a dog and stopped his front legs out of excitement of meeting more soquili. "I'm Cualtzin!" he said as he apporached the pretty boy kalona. He really wasn't the brightest.. Meeki Wrath stared increduously at the stallion that burst out with a large hello. It was starting to make sense now. He was having a nightmare. None of this could be real. The world could not be this messed up. He almost looked more.. girly than Ariston himself. Flowers. He was wearing FLOWERS. "#$#@ hell", he muttered. Wrath peered down low to look under the other stallion, "Pay me no $#!@ mind, I'm just checking you ##!@ gender." It seemed the flowered beast before him was indeed a male. Why couldn't he have just been a really masculine mare? "This land is too $#@#'ed up," he spoke to Ariston. "It's beyond saving." devilnightshade She prowled around him like a predator, "my my Cal beaten yourself up have you?" She was being playful for the most part and she nudged his side lightly. "That was a doozy of a trip hmm?" She looked down slightly as the wind swept away a rose petal form her leg, it dance don the breeze for a long moment before it disintegrated into ashes that rained down on the earth bellow.
She shook her silky mane and snorted, her roses had represented heart ach and hatred and they were losing and growing back their petals at a quick rate now. Shade had no clue why they were doing it besides that maybe she was growing a large soft spot for Cal, which personally she didn‘t mind one bit. [ Lady Kiya ] (( HOMG! *dies laughing at Meeki* )) Cualtzin tilts his head for a second at Wrath. "Oh... Umm. It's the flowers isn't it? Everyone says I look like a mare, but my mate likes it, so I wear them for her" He said proudly and loud. He wanted to make sure everyone heard it. He loved Tally more then anything and would do anything for her.
Cualtzin did a small jump. "OH! You have awesome wings and horns.." he said awwing at Wrath and Ariston. He wish he was a bit more handsome like these guys. Though, Tally says she loves him just the way he was, so he was proud to be who he was. Ariston eyed Cualtzin, and responded, "Friend?" He sneered and listened to his judgement, noticing the flowers on the stallion. "Accessories? Phh please..I would never use such things" He enjoyed the stallions energy towards wanting to meet him, and he absorbed the splotlight for the moment. "I am Ariston." *dramtic face*
He then turned to Wrath, who looked like he was about to explode. "Ahh, it is indeed a mess here. Some soquili have already lectured me in who is better looking than me.. the nerve!" He glared. "Saving? You had plans?" He leaned in closer, showing a spicy grin and a horrible face. Meeki "You.. wear.. flowers... for a FEMALE?," Wrath yelled at the top of his lungs, veins starting to stand out in his neck. "Why the @#!@! would you do something like that. No wait, don't answer that. It's LOVE right? @#!$ LOVE. All it does is make people act stupid and turn perfectly FINE STALLIONS into prancing BUFFOONS. Dumbfounded MARES. This is their doing. Their witchery. Only they could be evil enough to create something THIS DISASTEROUS." Wrath was beyond pissed. Everywhere he turned, there was romance of some kind. What happened to all the things that made living.. interesting? Ariston nodded as Wrath yelled, agreeing with his shouts. "What a waste of time, doing something for someone else? You should live for youself." He felt dulled by the stallion's tactics, and thought about himself to cheer up. [ Lady Kiya ] (( xD!! )) Cualtzin smile didn't fade. Though he felt bad for this stallion. How could he hate love? He wanted to ask, but seeing how he was, he might yell more. Cualtzin wasn't a fan of yelling at all. He kept quite for a second. He had nothing to say, unless he wanted to upset this here stallion even more.
Cualtzin just stood there peering from one Kalona to the next, almost stupidly. Though, he was in deep thought. They didn't look so mean. Well, some of them. Though this one sure had a temper. He didn't bother with it but just smiled at Wrath. Ariston laughed. "Wrathy, I think you scared' em'" He said, as he pouted his lips, practicing a cute appeal.
Wrath again was in the stallions eye sight, and Ariston glared at his new enemy. He hated those who looked away from him.Meeki "Everything is $!@# up here. How the hell do females have such control over males? We are in control. WE are stronger. But no, they bat their eyelashes and the stallions brain turns into regurgitated mush and their testicles are replaced with a pair of hearts. What's worse, is they SEEM to #@#% like it! It's bad enough with your love for yourself, Ariston, but these.. this.. ," he said, snorting in the direction of Cualtzin and Nightshade, "is too much. I'm off to @#@! kill something preferably NOT SMILING AT ME." And with that Wrath turned and flew off. Everything pissed him off, but love was top of the list. Quiddie! "A little roughhousing never did anyone harm. And I heard mares dig scars. Well, do they?" He smirked a little weakly and snorted into Shade's mane. She smelled like...whatever it was, it was a scent that had kept him alive the last few days.
"So, who's the potty-mouth over yonder? And his friend, who might be the prettiest stallion I've ever seen." He whispered quietly, his attention almost solely squared on Shade. He started in towards laughing, but was quickly squashed by the sharp sting through his ribcage. Ariston chuckled as he saw his friend fly up in a gust of rage. "Ookie, I will find you later then, hope you find something good to tear up!" He stared as Wrath in all of his glory, represented dangerous flames in the sky.((Meww Tweek needs to go to bed *hugs everyone* ))

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6324061[PRP] A Clash of Beauty (Ariston and Vudeux) Oct. 27 06 Ariston had fininshed his daily stares with his favorite pond, and decided he looked brilliant enough for a flight. As he lifted himself in the air, he let his golden hair flow behind him almost perfectly. It was not long until he felt the harsh wind around him, and realized quickly after it was messing up his hair! Growling, he swooped down as quickly as he could to a near cliff.
He quickly shook back and forth, untangling the horrid tangles which had ruined him. After a few minutes of painful worry, he felt his hair was perfect, because it was the exact weight against his body as it normally was. "Much better!" He gleamed, having his normal self returned.Shariea The wind was cold against his body as it rushed past him. His hair fell back against his body as he slowly made his decent. His wing was begining to throb and he would have to land for awhile. Had he known what the summers run on the beach would turn into he never would have raced that mare.
He snorted as he landed, his silver hooves lightly prancing on the downy grass. It was as he turned around that he noticed he company. His indigo eyes narrowed a bit as his eyes traced over the pale form of the Kalona not far off. "Good eve.." he said, his tenor voice filled with curiosity...which was probably the only reason that he had spoken to the male anyway. Ariston turned to the voice he heard, and felt his eyes widen. A dark but glorious soquili he had never seen stood beside him. "Haallo." He said, stupidly, still a bit in awe. He shook his expression off, and continued "And who might you be?" standing, more stable than before. "My name is Ariston, its a pleasure.."
He continued to naturally eye the figure in front of him, hoping he wouldn't get werided out. The stallion in front of him was indeed beautiful, but Ariston found himself scoffing after a few minutes, and he returned back to thinking about himself. He was interested, though, in what was up with this stallion. He had many beautiful features, but yet lacked something that Ariston couldn't pin point right away. Shariea Vudeux folded his wings tenderly across his back as he carefully watched the stallion before him. He tilted his dark head for a moment, his indigo eyes watching over the seemingly flawless coat, nearly glowing by the light of the silver moon. Still he couldnt rightly put himself at ease...there was something odd about this soquili that extended far beyond those odd wings.
His voice snapped Vudeux's attention back to the presant and he slowly nodded his head, the chains around his neck lightly chiming as he moved. "I'm Vudeux." he said simply, lacking in social graces he found himself not really sure how to react to this stallion. He seemed plesant enough but there was somthing that whispered in his ears and pulled at the back of his neck, something was off. "Vudeux.." Ariston tilted his head. "That is quite a name, you wear it well." He watched the stallion carefully, and forced a smile. "I must say, until I met you I have not encountered any other soquili that I have actually complemented before.." He narrowed his eyes a bit, forcing out the doubt in his head. There was no way this stallion was better than him, but what was making him second guess himself?
He walked forward a bit and gazed into the sky to get Vudeux out of his head for a second. He carefully let his wings out, feeling the tips rise higher and higher. It was as if he was challenging the very sky in beauty. When his mind was at ease, and full of itself again, he slowly shifted his eyes back to Vudeux, while still allowing his wings to move freely.
Shariea Vudeux looked at him with a masked expression that read of boredom. In all reality his intrest was quite peeked by this strange stallion, and perhaps he was even a little scared. There was an air around this strange pure best that was unsettling...And what did he mean that he wore his name well?
His eyebrows lightly raised as he looked at the stranger, really unsure if that was an off handed complament or not. "Thank you." he managed to say at last, probably sounding foolish.
"You have very strange wings." he said at length as the male before him slowly streched his wings into the sky. His own wings gave a pang of that framilue ache from that break not so long ago. They where already screaming at him for his short flight this eve. Ariston cringed his teeth together for a second, as he listened to Vudeux speak. "Strange..wings?" He felt his body getting hotter as his bloodstream pumped faster. What nerve, he thought. Even if it wasn't meant as something insulting, to Ariston, a comment not about his perfection brought out a different side to him.
"Well I am a Kalona," He said, proudly, as his eyes got colder and harsher. "Is that such a shocker?" Through his perfect and angel-like shell of a body, ran twisted Kalona blood that would shift his mood at any given time. He may have had different motives than the other Kalonas, but he was as proud if not prouder of who he was in actuality. He knew that his beauty and pureness brought out a more beautiful side to the Kalona race. He couldn't have asked for anything else in life.
He moved his wings back into a more relaxing positition and snorted elegantly. How silly, he thought to himself. He wasn't looking for a fight in any way, but he himself was as confused as Vudeux looked, and wasn't sure what to expect at this point. Shariea Vudeux blinked a bit as the mask of regal politeness the soquili wore suddenly shattered into rage and discust. Vu braced himself for an onslaught not really knowing how his words had triggered such a reaction. Then all at once it seemed as if he regained his composure and stood there elegant as ever.
The dark stallion raised an eyebrow and slowly raised his head to look at the Kalona stallion. A Kalona... that would explain those silly looking wings. Still, they had to be more useful than his own at this point. As the stallion moved it was then he noticed the twin horns atop his head...and this made him blink. There was only one other soquili he had ever met with a horn, and it was only one. He smirked inwardly at the thought that this soquili too was also born from a Goat. Certainly that was not the case, but the aspect amused him to no end.
Vudeux couldn't fathom what ues horse had atop a horses head, frankly he found them an abomination, but he was wise enough not to let his tongue slip and spout his opinions. Perhaps he did have a bit of social grace, and not all hope was lost.
"I see." he said at last, once all the laughter had left his mind. "Kalona... " he said again, he had heard such a term before but couldnt rightly pin point what that ment. Maybe it ment born of the Goat and the bat. Again he hushed his mind, thoughts like this would do the already injured stallion no good. He masked his inner laugher with a smile, though it was a meek one at best. "Well I can say you are the first I have had the pleasure to meet...and not one I shall soon forget." Ariston turned his head a bit and responded, "The first you have met? Interesting.." He thought for a second, throwing his head back and letting his hair fly for a brief instant. "Although I am proud of the fact I am a Kalona, I try to to not incorporate myself with many of their ideals. The are extremely violent, angry, and just plain ugly by my standards." He laughed for a second, jokingly, and focused back in. "But in all seriousness, I really only incorporate myself with one other Kalona friend, which is Wrath. The rest don't take me seriously, but its better that way. I'm sure once you meet some more, you will see what I mean." Living the life of a Kalona was harder than it looked, especially since he was more beautiful then all of them. He kept his own tactics to himself most of the time, only because he believed they were brilliant in a different way.
Ariston looked for a second and Vudeux's wings, and stared briefly at them. They appeared to be shaking, and under some stress. "It is nice to see other Soquili with the gift of fight, though, your wings look like something is wrong.." He tilted his head again, and wasn't sure what the problem was. Shariea Vudeux nodded his head a bit, it was best not to judge everyone by their race, and the Kalona race seemed to have some really horrable skeletons in their closet. Who knew really want stories where true or not. Still...the stallion found it hard to let his guard down, dispite this stallion before him had given him really no indication he would do any harm.
For a breif moment he let a smile pass over his face and he nodded his head, his dark locks coming to rest fashionably over one eye. "I see... well I can respect that. I dont often assicate with.. well anyone. " he shruged his shoulders a little bit and smirked.
As the pale stallion moved and his golden hair fell over his shoulders and barely touched the ground, Vu couldnt help but be lightly amazed. He wasnt half as scary as the stories made Kalona out to be. In fact, this stallion was simply beautiful. He snorted a bit, such silly thoughts. Now if he had been a mare... that would have been a sight to see. As a male though, he must certainly have a hord of mares after him.
He chuckled softly to himself and brought his thoughts back to the question that had been asked of him. "Oh...well yes.." he paused, not knowing if he should disclose the fact that he had been wounded.. stories said Kalona would eat other horses if given a chance. Taking a chance, and swolloing his pride Vu looked back at hs wing and streched it out, wincing a bit as the mucles pulled against the mending bone. "I Broke it not to long ago. It's on the mend though..." Ariston watched the quiet stallion, and then felt relief when he heard him say he does not associate with anyone. "There is no reason to, of course." Ariston shrugged and continued. "Many Soquili see life differently then how I see it. Do you not associate with them just because of choice, or because of inferiority?" He was interested to know, for the stallion in front of him had a different personality than some of the other crazy Soquili he had met.
As Vudeux explained about his wing, Ariston watched his face wince and the feeling of its movement. "Accidents happen," Ariston said, but almost dissapointedly, "Its a shame for beauty to be injured. You best heal up soon so you will be able to roam the skies again." If there was one thing Ariston despised, it was lack of beauty. He imagined Vudeux conquering the night sky at night, but how could he show off when his wing was injured?
Ariston watched the stallion once more, this time a bit more comfortable. He really had no reason to have any hostile thoughts, for the mindset of the stallion in front of him seemed a bit just like his own. Vudeux also did not seem to be making any other 'Kalona' judgements, so Ariston was relieved. He couldn't image the crap these Soquili have had to put up with with those annoying and ugly Kalona. Beauty always interested Ariston, and the fact that Vudeux was not trying to upstage him made him relaxed, and able to actually talk to someone.Shariea The dark stallions pale indigo eyes restes on Ariston as the silver moonlight caressed his pale form. It was strange that he was even lingering here, having this converstaion. Perhaps it was his wing that was making him act so strange, his pride wounded and a bit of humilty set it. Shrugging his shoulders and putting his thoughts aside he responded. "Mostly out of perferance... I like my solitude. " he said.
As the stallion went on to talk about his wing he nodded his head and took the comments to heart. "Thank you..." his gaze turned to the sky and he sighed. "Believe me...I cant wait until I can fly for more than a few minutes at a time... I do miss it." he caught himself and droped his gaze, snapping himself out of his day dream like state. It was better not to talk about such things openly, after all he didnt want to be seen as 'soft'. "As do I.." Ariston agreed. He did enjoy meddling with other Soquili, especially the mares, but he enjoyed his alone time the most. It was true that he was his own biggest fan, and that is why he enjoyed gleaming to himself the most.
Ariston couldn't imagine what Vudeux was going through. He himself had never had an injury, for he wasn't afraid of getting hurt, but of obtaining scars. "They will heal soon enough, it always feels like ages but it will pass." He said, as kindly as he could. He did feel a sense of compassion, for the stallion in front of him was involved in himself, just like Ariston was. He had respect for his solitude, and was glad he ran into him. Other Soquili had been driving him mad with their nonsense and fakeness, but Vudeux brought none of that. He was just himself, and that's all Ariston wanted from others. He also had a strong sense of Pride, and Ariston also liked that.
"So how will you return to where you rest if you cannot fly back? I hope I am not keeping you awake, though the evening is beautiful." It was true, the moon was shinning off of their backs, reflecting a strange comfort that made the meeting more enjoyable. Shariea Vudeux nodded his head and light a light chuckle escape him. "How odd then in a twist of fate that us who value our solitude have come together on this night and sparkled conversation." A small smirk played on his face for he did fight that fact all too amusing.
The stallion looked back at his wing and nodded his head. "It will, it has already progressed in leaps and bounds since it happened. In time no one will even be able to tell. Still.. I shall always remember what happened, and how I let my pride get the better of me. " he said. For it had been due to his pride, his need to win and show off that he had tripped and fallen into that hole on that sandy beach. His wind gave a dull ache at the memory.
"I have no place to really call home. My home is under this wide sky. " He said. "I'll manage, I assure you. How about you?" Ariston felt his composed grin bend more into a smile, as he realized the same thing that Vudeux mentioned. It was strange for him to stand there and talk to another stallion, for usually no one could put up with him. He was more relaxed, and didn't feel the need to impress Vudeux. He had never had such a thing before.
He looked at Vudeux's wings and thought for a second, then saying, "I find nothing wrong with that. You did what you thought was right, and following your Pride is the strongest way to go." He nodded, letting his thoughts come out. "You will heal, but at least this way you followed what you knew you had to do." Although Ariston physically never did such things with his pride, he was definitely one who opened his mouth according to whatever thought he felt was important.
"Heh, I am very much the same. I get bored with one place, and always end up moving around." He chuckled to himself. "I try to follow wherever the mares go." He let out a small laugh and shook his hair. Shariea The stallion chuckled softly and nodded his head. "I suppose so.. either way there is no use lamenting about it now. Its over and done with and in the past. The wing is healing and at lest now I can take to the skies at lest for a short ammount of time."
From that first night onward it had been very hard to even look at the sky, for he knew he coulnt brush against the clouds and look down at the earth in contempt. No, he had been grounded and for a spirit of the sky, that was the most horrable sinking feeling in the world.
Vudeux looked at him and chuckled. "well I used to do that as well. Unfortunatly for me, It seems that a one night stand I had ended up being something quite much more than either of us had intended. " He snorted softly and shook his head. Ariston turned his head slightly, feeling confused to what the stallion was saying, but then realizing what he meant, he said "I am sorry to hear that Vudeux.. I guess some things are indeed unexpected." He thought for a moment, contemplating what would happen if he had ever done that. Maybe he had just gotten lucky, but Ariston did try to be careful, especially for his pride's sake.
He shifted his footing a bit, wiggling his fallen asleep leg out of its dream. He then put his gaze back to the stallion, who seemed angry at his mistakes. What impressed Ariston the most, was the fact that Vudeux still had a load a of pride with him, even though he may have felt weak with the circumstances. "Well, either way everything will move on as it always does." Ariston had made some mistakes of his own, but tended to forget them a moment later.
Shariea (( No worries. Im a bit slow with my job as well, so bare with me. Congrats on the breeding! )) Vudeux nodded his head and chuckled softly. "I suppose so... But I shall teach them to be strong, and to follow their own path. My children will be leaders, or loners. Either path is fine in my eyes. " He wasnt the sort to create life and then to walk away. No, he had passed on his genes to the world and he would see fit that his children would be raised right. It wasnt that he didnt trust Sgina to raise them, It was rather that he wanted his own values instilled in his children. He wanted a say in it all...
The stallion shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, only to wince lightly sending a ripple through the corded mucles under his smooth ebony coat. "Everything will continue as it has, another fork in the road. An Obstical to over come. " (( Thanks hun! Yeah I couldn't believe I am getting a foal, craziness @__@ )) As Vudeux spoke, Ariston listened more intentively than usual. He reflected to the thought of little minatures of himself running around. It actually picked at his interest, in the thought of spreading more beauty to the world. Though, whichever mate he chose would have to be perfect and as beautiful as him. This would indeed be the challenge. "That seems like it would be something very rewarding.. I may consider it.." Ariston may have had different plans with the children, but hearing it from a stallion who also least expected it helped him imagine a better situation overall. "I am sure your offspring will grow up with the same excellence and pride you have. I hope to raise some like that someday as well." He was suprised at even his own words, but knew that Vudeux carried such traits.
He nodded with the stallion, wondering if he would ever face such an obstical someday. Shariea Vudeux nodded softly sending gentle waves of his mane washing over his dark ebony coat. The silver and purple strands seemed to almost glisten by the light of the moon. He thought of Sgina and how for that night he had let his guard down. Thought Sgina shared some of the same views he did, he also found her to be quiet... crazied on the idea of spreading hate for the two leggers. While in fact he did hate the pale faced ones whom had bound him with chains, the same ones that still clung to him now, he couldnt see ridding the whole world of them. There was good and bad in every animal, just because some where bad didnt mean that they all where.
His tail lightly flicked as his thoughts turned back to the converstation at hand. "I suppose so...no.. I do hope so. If they dont have strength and pride for who they are they wont be anything at all. I hope their mother doesnt fill their heads full of nonsence...." Ariston's tail waved at the stallions last comment. "Oh yes the mother, who is she?" He was interested in why he would think such thoughts. "She must be something if you were to consider some of her ways nonsense." He chuckled, but understood the complications of mares. Realizing that it wouldn't only be his offspring would have made matters complicated. Having someone else's traits and mind was a risk Ariston was skeptical about taking. He was definitely up for seeing more of himself, rather than an overbearing female personality.
He sighed for a second and looked around him, feeling strange but at ease. As the breeze ruffled his body softly, he was weary of any usual thoughts. "Goodness, what a beautiful night." He said, as he breathed in heavily.
Shariea "Her name is Sgina. She is... beautiful, but there is something going on upstairs that I dont even think she knows half the time. One minute she is one way, the next another. I suppose all mares might be like that though." he snorted remembering how the night he had hurt his wing how K'Jatu had been so kind and valliant, even fetching a two legger from the village to tend to him. Then the moment she knew he was going to live, she had started chidding him and joking around... mares. Who needs them. He snorted softly to himself and shook his head.
Blinking softly Vudeux turned his eyes to the night sky and let his thoughts leave him. His pale inidgo eyes rested on the deep blue and inky blackness studded with a million diamonds. "Yes it is." he said at length. "I have always loved the night. " (( AAaaaah I am sorry for the lag! I can't believe I didn't notice, it was during my finals week so I was way behind ;;oo;; )) Ariston watched Vudeux as he spoke, nodding now and then. " I do not think I have ever met Sgina.. Though, I can say from my experience with mares, that they are indeed like that.." He scoffed at the thought, remembering all of the things he had dealt with. "I can't help it though, I put up with it now and then..maybe I am crazy?" He chuckled, knowing he could easily live without mares and by himself, though he did have fun being a stud.
He gazed up at the stars as well, finding the peace he needed for his mind, especially with all of the daily complications that were present. "It is nice to be able to come into the night to forget everything that happened in the day.." Ariston was not able to blend into the night as well as Vudeux, when really he stood out too boldly. Though, he was able to find the inner thoughts he needed through it.Shariea (( hehe no worries, Im super slow with my replies lately because of work. @_@)) The patchwork of the night sky, a tapestry of woven light and darkness glittered above them both. The silver beams of light rained down upon them, On Vudeux his dark coat only barely outlined in a silver hue. On the Kalona stallion, to vudeux anyway, the beams of light seemed to make his cream and white stand out in brilliant contrast and deffiance of the darkess of the world around him. Exclaiming to all that he was there to be seen... and yes it was a sight to behold. Although... he did find himself wondering if such brilliant colors... made it hard to be alone. When everyone can see you, when you are so eye catching, certainly it much be hard.
"Do you ever have trouble slipping away to be by youself?" he tilted his head to the side as he asked his question, his gaze dropping from the sky and onto the radiance of the kalona at his side. "for It seems that no matter how often I wish to be alone, there is normally someone else around. " Ariston turned to the stallion, and thought for a second. Of course he engulfed attention at almost all times, though when he did try to go off and be by himself, he too could never acomplish that. "I do, its strange. I have my own rituals of slipping away to a pond or stream, but there always has to be someone else there..its always a hassle when I am not in the mood." He could relate to Vudeux, for he knew that for most of the day he used all of his energy to find others for attention, but when he really didn't want it the most, others always found him.
A thought struck him suddenly, and he found himself chuckling. "I hope that I am not disturbing you at this moment, maybe you were straying away?" He winked at the stallion, and wondered for his sake what he was doing as well. "Though I can't complain, this has been very pleasant and nice for a change." His purple eyes steered away from the stallion, suprised by his own words. He usually didn't have such conversations ever, so he was more interested as they progressed. (( Eeep yeah work must be crazy with the Holiday season and such!! )) Shariea Vudeux considered the stallions words and after a moment gave a light chuckle. "In all truth, I did venture out here for a bit of solitude, but given the circomstances this is an interuption that I do not mind. It has been full of plesnt converstation, and a bit of a learning experiance. One cant always judge another due to their looks. "
His tail flicked softly against the ground, pooling there like liquid in the grass veined with silver. "Of all the encounters ive had like this I think this one will serve me the best. All things considered I'll have learned alot from this. "(yeah @_@ ) (( I really like where this RP has gone, and on that note I think I am going to end it, only because it would be interesting if we set up them meeting again somwhere else and stuff ^_^ Plus with Vu's statement it just seemed like a good place XD )) Ariston nodded to the stallion, knowing he too felt the same way. "I find it hard to learn, although I agree and am happy for such a thing." He put a light grin on his face and felt his eyes grow a bit tired on him.
"I think I must get some rest, I am starting to feel my wearyness creep on me." Ariston shook his head, and realize it did nothing except reinstate how tired he really was. "Either way, it was a pleasure meeting you Vuduex, and good luck with everything. Who knows, we might meet up randomly again." He politely bowed, and then released his wings, quickly soaring up into the air. His mind was content, and a bit blank, which was extremely relaxing for him. Shariea (( Oh yes, this r was loads of fun. And this does seem like a Natural stopping point for the way things have gone. If they meet again that shall be interesting, Vu would have to tell him of his childrens birth and how Sgina left and blah. XD )) Vudeux nodded his head with a small smile. "Good night then, and may the winds fare you well. " He streched his wings and considered the sky, His heart pined for the feeling of the wind under his wings but that ache in his shoulder made him fold them tightly to his side once more. One good flight every few hours was getting him there slowly....but slowly was not how he wanted to be. Muttering a bit about his wing the dark stallion turned and walked down the bluff and into the treeline where he would make his bed for the night.

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6415851[PRP] Ariston and Lovebeam Nov. 3rd 06 Ariston trotted up the beach, being careful not to get close to the seawater. There was no way any of that was going to get into his perfectly golden hair. He was a bit tired from a long flight earlier, so he relaxed and abosorbed the warm sun. He briefly approached the mirror of water a few times to check his hair, and make sure his appearance was as perfect as usual. He was very relaxed, and he enjoyed that.
Ice_Dragon_Demon The bright colored yet beautiful mare trotted along the beach once again. The smell of sea water was quite thick but she still enjoyed it. The light played upon her sparkling hide giving her more of an aura of mystery. SHe mare flicked her ears back and staired skyward she gave a smile and tossed her long elegant mane, she was un aware of the other presence, the hansome stallion laying in the sant not to far away. The cloud streaked mare began to walk again after admiring the ocean for a moment. Ariston sniffled his nose, and realized there was a mare nearby. Being his flirty self, he looked around and noticed a mare that was colored beautifully. He approached her, looking at all of her colors and markings. He put his violet and bold eyes on hers and made sure that he was in her complete attention. He let his wings out freely in the water's breeze, and he looked like he was soaring towards her. He loved looking perfect, and he knew that she was impressed. When he ws closer, he said, "Hello there Miss. My name is Ariston, what is yours?" Ice_Dragon_Demon Lovebeam watched crystal blue eyes, she indeed was impressed a hansome, perfect stallion but most often behind an angelic face lies evil. but she would not judge untill she knew the stallione better "I am known as Lovebeam" she said with a smile uncaring as to his kalona breed. Lovebeam sparkles in the sunlight her blue streaked hair rippled in the breeze as she tossed her forlock out of her face. Least he was polite, she thought privatly.
The white orange clouded mare bowed herh ead slightly in greeting "A pleasure to meet you Ariston." "It is a pleasure to meet you as well." He nodded to her politely. He had never seen this mare before, so he was interested to see what she was about. "What brings you to the beach on this fine day?" He put one of his hoofs forward and stroked at the sand. It was as golden and shiny as his own hair, and he gleamed at the perfection. The sun had felt like it was getting a bit stronger, but the cool waters breeze kept him stable.
Ice_Dragon_Demon "A walk" she replied calmly, the wind kicked up and bluew her mane once more "What about you Ariston?" she inquired, a stallion seemingly obsessed with himself coming to a sandy beach. Some how she knew she always seemed to know things others hid. "I go were I wish, usually away from everyone else." Lovebeam told him. "Away from everybody else?" Ariston raised one of his eyebrows dramatically. "Do you hide from others? Or choose not to see them? Oh why would you do that?" This indeed was something different from what he usually encountered. Other mares he had met were quite content with competiting with him for the center of attention. "I am just having a nice stroll as well.." He smiled wickedly. He had run into someone interesting, but he stayed cool, not jumping ahead with any of his sneaky tactics. Ice_Dragon_Demon "Why would I hide?" she inquired "They see me if they choose." she caught his wicked smile... what was his game she wondered silently to herself revealing nothing to him. "Intresting" she gave a smile, she flicked her long waving tail. "I preffer to wander than just staying in one spot." she explained. "Mm I see.." He said, nodding. "I myself wander so I can run into others, and I let others find me as well." He wasn't someone who would ever go out of his way to see someone else. Because of this, he wasn't as social as others thought.
He shook his head and wiggled a bit, moving his hair around freely. "You also have very long hair, it has very pretty colors." He smiled, appreciating her beauty.

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=1&t=5900585#83140676Tequila and Myoa- We Meet Again! PRP Continued Nov. 7th 06 "Sure, if we keep heading straight a bit, we will be there soon!" Tequila said, as she pounced ahead happily. "Its such a lovely day, I hope the flowers are all blooming!" It was a spot that Tequila enjoyed going to now and then, and she was happy to bring Myoa to introduce her to it. Konalou Myoa grinned cheerfully and lunged foward, following, her friend. She felt honored to have Tequila show her her special place.
"Wow..." Myoa sucked in her breath at the sight before her. Pools and flowers in every color extended to the horizon. There was even a small pond filled with white, dancing water lillies towards her right. "This is amazing!" Myoa cirled around, tasting her surroundings. The ocean of the variety of flowers swayed in the breeze, and some small lilacs were uprooted and floated around, raining on the two mares. "How'd you find this place, Tequila? This isn't a flower patch, it's a flower continent!!"
Myoa trotted carefully through the field, taking the upmost care in not trampling the nature's jewels. She smiled as the breeze tangled her mane with petals. "It's amazing..." She whispered. Tequila gleamed at Myoa's response, and found a unflowered patch to rest on. "You know me, I like to wander off, and one day I just got lucky I guess." She wiggled at the feeling of a lady bug on her back, and she gazed forward to see many bugs dancing happily on the colorful flowers. "I am so glad you appreciate it as well!" She was happy that someone else enjoyed such simple pleasures.
She watched Myoa's face shift from flower to flower, and felt drawn in to her excitement. "Which color is your favorite, Myoa?" Tequila pondered for a second which she liked the best as well.Konalou Myoa smiled at Tequila. "I couldn't bear to choose between all these wonderful colors." She sighed, disheartened, then said, "I'm afraid it's getting dark, I must go now." She ruffled her wings, and wove through the air. Her voice seemed like an echo on the wind. "Goodbye for now!!"

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6470677A "Striping" Beauty [Tequila and Lunaris] PRP Nov. 7th 06 tani duh! Lunaris quickly trotted by some teepees and toward the lake. He was in a good mood today, and the weather was currently comfortable. He rustled his wings as we went, a few feathers falling behind him. There were already a couple Soquili standing by the lake, conversing possibly? He always loved company, and today was no different.
He stopped somewhat away from those already congregated, and took a sip from the clear lake. He looked up and swished his tail several times, hoping for someone to approach him, for he was shy around those he did not already know. Tequila felt parched after her gallop, and approached a stream she knew well. The day was as beautiful as ever, and she was full of energy. As she trotted slower to cool off, she saw a figure by the waters edge. Excited to see who it was, she perked her ears up, and looked forward at the stallion in front of her.
When she noticed that he was aware of her presence, she happily smiled and said, "Hello there, my name is Tequila. It is a pleasure to meet you!" She leaned in a bit to snag a drip of water to quench her thirst, and then returned to the handsome stallion.
tani duh! Lunaris was caught somewhat unaware by the mare that approached him. She sported a dark coat with red highlights to it. "Hello, Tequila. I'm Lunaris, pleasure is all mine." He acted somewhat shy becuase he didn't know her very well yet, but he was eager to know her better. "You have a stunning mane." He said, taking a leap of faith, hoping she wasn't offended.. Or atleast didn't find him odd. "It... uh, reminds me of my own a little." He smiled at her warmly. Tequila was taken aback by his comment, and felt her cheeks blush up. "You do as well! It is true indeed, they are similar.." She looked at the gorgeous blue highlights in his mane, and defnitely saw the resemblence. "How lucky is that?" She giggled, playfully. She then looked up at the sky carefully, and then back at Lunaris. "It is a beautiful day for flying, did you go for a nice soar today?" The breeze was perfect, and would make for a wonderful flying day. She only knew these things because she would find herself standing on tall ledges, pretending to experinece the same ability.
tani duh! He blushed slighly at her comments. "Ahh, no I haven't been flying lately." He spoke slowly. "I may go later, it seems like one of the better flying days we've had lately, I was just kinda.. looking for food since I had little else to do, and I decided then that 'Hey, getting something to drink would be nice!' And here I am." He gave a little half-laugh half-snort at his own remark. She giggled at him playfully, and added, "Mm, its ok, I was thinking pretty much the same thing." She smiled warmly. "You were looking for something to do?" She pondered for a second, trying to remember a spot she enjoyed. "There are a whole bunch of apple trees just up that trail to the right.." As she spoke she nudged her nose to the right. "If you are interested, I can show you where." she said excitedly. tani duh! Lunaris lit up at the idea. He loved apples. "Yes yes! I'd very much enjoy having some apples!" He turned toward the trail before she even did and swished his tail excitedly. "Do you like apples? I love apples, they're one of my favorite snacks." He hoped she liked apples, too, even so it was such an insignificant thing to care about. Tequila giggled at the stallion's excitement, but was happy that they right away had something in common. "Well of course I love apples! That's why it is one of my favorite spots." She winked cutely and stomped her feet ahead and proceeded next to him. "Mm away we go!" She started a light trot and then went ahead faster, waiting for him to catch up next to her. tani duh! He smiled happily. He was glad they had they both liked apples, in fact, he noticed as she ran ahead of him, her coat even had some apple-reds in it. That made him even more happy. He then noticed how far ahead she was and had to canter a bit to catch up, then slowing to a trot next to her. "What kind of apples are they? Are they red apples? Or golden apples?!" He looked at her warmly, smiling gently. He enjoyed any type of apple, but was wondering what kind she liked. She watched him come closer, and responded, "They are red apples! They are nice and juicy." She slurped at the thought. "Mmm no golden apples there, though I always feel bad eating golden colored ones because they are so pretty." She chuckled but then realized that she would eat any apple, anytime. "Or maybe I would eat them!" She gleamed a bit and keep moving forward, excited to eat. She was excited to get to know this stallion more, he was nice and cheerful, just like herself.tani duh! Lunaris kept up with Tequila, trotting with her in step. He laughed as she spoke of golden apples, adding "I love golden apples. I feel like a prince eating them. They're so shiny." His mouth watered at the thought of getting to eat a golden apple. "But, I love red apples to, they're much crunchier, and I like crunchy apples." He craned his neck, looking around for this infamous apple tree they were headed towards, excited to be getting apples, but more excited to have a new friend to get apples with.
"Mm, there is definitely a royal feel to golden apples!" She giggled at his comment, imagining him as a prince. "Red ones are definitely crunchy and crisp, wow I am impressed at your apple knowledge." She smiled to him and laughed some more, feeling more comfortable as they progressed on. It had been some time since she had laughed and had this much fun.
As they continued on, Tequila noticed an orange tipped color tree that was a marker that they were closer. "Oh, we are almost there!" She fluffed her hair out of her face and started moving faster, seeing if Lunaris would playfully join. As she made her way to a clearing, she finally saw a cluster of apple trees. "Yes! We made it! And they look so ripe, perfect timing."
tani duh! Lunaris had continued, trying to keep up with her increasing pace as they went. Keeping a close eye on her, for she was quite attractive and he also had no idea where he was supposed to go.
Upon reaching the trees, Lunaris was astonished at the size and color of the apples. Every apple was of a more formidable size than the last, and each tree grew many apples, enough to feed even the hungriest herd. "My! These apples are wonderful looking!" He looked around at all the trees in awe, almost afraid to eat them. "This is perfect timing." Tequila gleamed at the stallions response. He was as excited as she was, and appreciated the beauty around them. "I am so glad you are happy!" She said, blushing as she turned away. She sniffed here and there, until she was drawn to an overly shiny apple on the tree. "Ooh this one looks perfect. Don't be shy, Lunaris! Take a bite." She nosed her way up to her one apple and took a big crunh, watching it sink into her mouth deliciously. She pollitely chewed as best as she could, but couldn't get over the ripeness of the apple in her mouth.
When she had swallowed and cleared her mouth, she joyously said, "Goodness, they taste like heaven!" tani duh! Lunaris happily walked over to a tree with a number of delicious looking apples. He watched silently for a moment as Tequila bit into her own apple, and seeing her reaction he quickly bit into his own. Immediately he felt renewed. "These apples are the most delicious apples I have ever tasted!" He happily chewed on the apple. "How did you find such a delicious orchard?!" She thought for a second, and then answered, "Actually I tend to wander off sometimes. I like finding new places, and I was lucky enough to find it here." She nodded and remembered the first time she found this place. It was as amazing as it was the first time, and the other few times she returned it was always a spectacle to see. She had never had the opportunity to share it with someone, and she was excited that Lunaris was able to enjoy it so much. tani duh! "Ahh, and finding it makes it all the more enjoyable later, I'm sure." Lunaris was one to explore, as long as he knew the area generally. "Finding such an amazing orchard is quite wonderful, Tequila." He looked at her and grinned a childish-happy grin, then turning again to munch on another apple. "I'm sure I've never found an amazing area like this before..." He thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and the apples made it even better. "Did you ahev anything planned for later, Tequila?" He inquired curiously, kindly. "I know, I got so lucky!" She watched him snatch at more apples, and was proud of her success. Then at his comment, she looked up confused and shyly and said, "No, I don't actually." She nibbled at an apple herself and watched him kindly.tani duh! Without looking at her, he smiled at this. "I hoped you'd say that." He looked at her, a somewhat blank face masking his real emotion. "Maybe we can meet up again later? I'd really like it if we did." He munched on some more apple. He didn't want to leave to apple trees or Tequila, and hoped that they would be able to meet up again later. He had a great time today, and she had showed him an amazing place. Tweekend Tequila blushed and felt her face get hot, so in her scurry she turned away and tried to focus on an apple. "I.. I would love that." She said, flustered but excited. "I am glad you feel the same way." It was true, she was embarrassed to admit it, but was really excited that she had met him, and that he had asked that. tani duh! Another childish grin crawled over his face as he trotted over to her. "Good, I'm happy that you're free to spend more time with me. I'm glad we happened upon one another earlier." He felt somewhat silly using saying all this, but he meant it. He started pondering what they could do... Go swimming? Nah, too cold out for that. Go flying? Oh, wait, only he had wings. A midnight stroll? Hmm...
"Would you... maybe want to go on a midnight stroll?" He was nervous asking, but he tried to hide it. Tequila's eyes lid up at his comment, but then she put her head down pollitely and said, "Yes, I would love that." She was so overwhelmed by the situation, but at the same time she was extremely happy. Her emotions were flustered, but this time, they were flustered in a good way.tani duh! Lunaris felt all the giddy butterflies inside, then thought for a moment, planning out how the night would go.
He'd need to bring her a gift - She had showed him a wonderful area, so he needed to find a gift or make a gift. Or something along those lines... He'd need to find a path to take - Getting lost in the middle of the night and making a fool of one's self would not be the way to go. He'd need to find somehting romantic to do at the end of the walk.
Oh! How the items of affection were piling up on him. "Great!" He swished his tail happily. "I'm going to need to.. uhh.." He needed an excuse to leave, even if he didn't want to at all, and get all these things prepared. "Freshen.. up. Mmm-hmm." He paused, hesitant at first. "We'll need a meeting spot for tonight. And maybe a time..." Tequila giggled at the stallion and said, "Don't worry! Any time is fine with me. If it is helpful, we can always meet at the stream that we first met at back there." She was as nervous as he was, but wanted to make him feel better by acting cool and calm. "I don't want this to be stressful for you.." She blushed. tani duh! "Ah, no. It's not stressful at all." He thought for a moment. "I do believe meeting back at the brook would be the best idea... Just after sundown." He nodded, swishing his tail back and forth as he spoke. He was excited for their rendex-vous. And meeting just after sundown gave him time to prepare and get everything he needed for the nice night. "Is this all alright with you?" He smiled at her politely. "Of course it is" she gleamed back at him, and slowly stepped away. "I can't wait to see you again tonight, I will probably go rest for a bit now." She giggled and turned the other way. She paused for a second, and then slowly turned her head back at him, letting her hair flow with the wind, "I will see you then, Lunaris." She turned back slowly, sad she had to leave him for the moment, and started trotting away. ((;3 Sorry for the lag, I wasn't sure if we are making another thread or just continuing it at night, both work for me heart ))

Ariston meets Antichrist and Anarchy In Thead RP Nov. 13th 06 Meeki Antichrist: *glaring at Ariston* How dare someone be more beautiful than I. ((*Snugs Meeki with luffles*)) Ariston- *Stands up straight and turns to the attention of the Uni* Oh? And who might you be? Miss Cherie Anarchy ventured into the clearing, determined to make herself as much at home as possible. While still strange to her, the Tawani lands housed her brother, Chaos, and so she had no desire to leave them. Very little desire, anyway. There was something exciting about exploring by herself, and she had allowed herself to be caught up in the enthusiasm that other Soquili around her felt about life. Not all by any stretch of the imagination, but some. Enough. She glanced about, searching to see if there was anyone familiar lingering nearby. Perhaps Zaribe or Chaos, or even his mate might have wandered to this place.
Meeki Antichrist arched a brow, smirking slightly at the Kalona male. "Who might I be? An interesting question indeed. Wouldn't you like to know the answer to it? Well, I shan't disappoint you. I am Antichrist. Now, pray tell, who are you? No no, don't answer that. Who you are isn't important at all." The unicorn loved trouble in all forms. He loved driving others to the point of madness or simply infuriating them. Wasn't chaos grand? His curiosity in the other stallion wavered as a female unicorn entered the clearing. She looked like she was coated in blood. It took a moment to realize that was simply the color of her coat. He was a little disappointed but not terribly so. Ignoring the male, he galloped over to the female. "Well, hello there. Like a lost little lamb wandering into a wolf's lair. What a most curious thing." The statement sounded friendly enough, despite the undertones within. ((Anarchy is such a beauty ;3 heart )) ((He would want his pic reposted ;p)) Ariston, who started to get a bit raged from the Uni in front of him, felt a presence that was different approaching. He wasn't sure who or what it was, but it did not have the threat that the stallion in front of him brought. "Well my name is Ariston, and you should remember it well, sir." He said coldly. He stared at the Uni in front of him, and flung his hair at his grumpyness. Maybe he was dissapointed, but was enjoying the competition the stallion brought to him.
As he turned he saw a mare approach, just as he had predicted. He could always feel them from a mile away. As he watched Antichrist turn over to her, he got even madder at the situation. Miss Cherie "If that is so, where is the wolf, and who is the lamb?" Anarchy tilted her chin up slightly, trying not to laugh at how very ridiculous that rejoinder sounded. So, it had been awhile since she had interacted with another of her kind. Especially one not of her herd, of her family. "Is it a wolf's layer, or a lion's den?" she asked, glancing at his tail for a moment, before shifting her gaze back up.
She couldn't help but be a little feisty. A little rebellious. It was in her nature. Yes, she wanted to be friendly, yes she wanted to make friends and allies... but still, at the end of the day she had only her past to call on. That would change soon, hopefully. It was bittersweet trying to forget her life, and move on. She loved this new setting, she really did, but in some ways, the old one still appealed to her.
And this stallion was a reminder of those days. A pleasant one, really. She rather enjoyed the opportunity to converse with someone new. But what exactly did he have in mind for this exchange? She had long since learned that there were a good many "wolves" out there, and she wondered if she was safe now, playing like she was. She had not even noticed the Kalona, not because he was unworthy of such, but because she was trying to stay on top of this particular conversation.
Meeki Antichrist grinned at her responce, "Does it make a difference if you are surrounded by wolves or lions? A tender morsel like you would not go ignored for long in either situation, I'm sure." He knew the Kalona was watching and the idea pleased him. What better way to annoy the other stallion than to steal the attention of a lovely female. It wasn't like it had been hard though or his original plan. Antichrist always had an eye for the pretty mares. "Your coat reminds me of a battlefield shed with blood," he complimented. At least, to him it was a compliment. Ariston decided to get serious, so he stomped forward and got closer to the conversation. If there was one thing that really drove him mad, it was BEING IGNORED. He let his wings out and felt his face cringe at Antichrist. Sure sure, it may have looked like this random stallion was winning, but the game was just starting. He intruded the conversation, and fluttered his eyes at the mare. "I do not think I have gotten the pleasure to introduce myself, miss. My name is Ariston, it is a pleasure." As his slender neck bent, he tilted it slightly towards Antichrist and hissed in the opposite direction to the mare. He mouthed with his mouth 'It's ON' to Antichrist and recollected himself for the mare. His wings still fluffed out, so he could look more stunning then before. Miss Cherie Anarchy laughed, pleased to see that her comments were taken lightly, as intended. "If I am surrounded by wolves, I will at least know how they hunt. Lions are unfamiliar to me, so I would have a greater chance of falling to their teeth." She couldn't keep from smiling slightly. This conversational turn reminded her just a little of her brother's mannerisms.
The fact that his words could be taken in an uncomplimentary way did not occur to her. She was quite used to reading body language, and if he thought it was a compliment, she would go along with it. Besides, she rather thought that having a coat the color of blood made her seem just a little fierce. "Thank you. I don't think I have ever seen a coat like yours. It resembles steel, or silver."
Like a sword, or a battle axe. She lashed her tail, noticing for the first time that the stallion's eyes were white. Hmm. A silvery white. What did that mean for him? Clearly it did not speak of blindness. He had obviously seen her well enough.
At that moment, her thoughts were interrupted by the appearance of yet another stallion. She blinked. What in the world was he? He had the most long, flowing hair that she had ever seen. She almost commented on that when she realized that he had a pair of ivory horns, and wings as well. How... interesting. "My name is Anarchy, Ariston." She smiled again, trying to be friendly.
Meeki "Well well, what a predicament you find yourself in, mare." Antichrist thought out loud, "A golden lion and a silver wolf vying for your attention. What a lucky little lamb you are. Or perhaps it's the other way around. Who's to say at such an early time? Of course, the stallion could be trying for my attention and though he may be a pretty thing indeed, I find my tastes to lean towards the fairer of our kind." The stallion grinned again at the compliment that was tossed his way. He was exceptionally proud of his silvery white coat. He was a little offended that he had not introduced himself properly and that the other stallion learned her name before he. Where had his manners gone? "Ariston," he repeated. It fit the stallion but not as much as the mare's name seemed to fit her. "Anarchy," he whispered, his voice taking on a soothing sound. What a b*****d he was, attempting to seduce the attention of a mare just to irk the other male. "It suits you well," he added. Indeed, it did. "I am Antichrist." "It is a pleasure, Anarchy. I have not seen you around these parts, so I just had to introduce myself." He spoke with a different tone, much different than how he spoke to Antichrist before. "I apologize for intruding on your conversation, but I just could not ignore such a lovely one as yourself." He strut his hair back once again, and gleamed at the mare. She may have had a different personality than his, but he was happy to approach her nevertheless.
He heard Antichrist mutter his name, and he turned to him and responded back, "Antichrist, I had the honor of meeting you before." He fakely smiled at him and cringed his teeth at the false emotion. Hmph, if Antichrist was not going to be a gentleman, at least he knew that he could. Miss Cherie Anarchy, who had never had such male attention in her life, was nearly completely oblivious to their little contest. At least, until Antichrist went out and stated what they played at. Of course, she took it as a jest, like the other comments. "Most lambs are not equipped with horns or even a horn, unless they are male, and then they grow to be rams. On a bad day, a ram can take out a lion, so perhaps I will be safe."
She raised an eyebrow at the silver stallion's words, wondering at his continued compliments. Truly, she was very fond of her name, but she doubted that it was as appealing as he made it sound. "My parents named me as they saw fit. I find it fits me well enough," she quipped, and was further amused by Ariston's compliment. "Lovely? That is very kind of you to say, but I am certain that those words are better directed elsewhere."
For instance, at the pair of stallions. Really, she was outnumbered and outclasses. She refused, however, to give up. "I'm certain you both get compliments like that all the time." She smiled with the air of 'I'm nothing special, don't look at me' that young women (and young men) occasionally exhibited. Why should such a stunning pair find favor in her looks. Sure, she had a nice coat, and all... and she was happy with her appearance, but she sure wasn't all that they cracked her up to be.
Meeki "Au contraire, Anarchy," he began as he took a step closer to her, "I do not receive many compliments. For some reason, most avoid me entirely." His smile did not reach his unusual eyes. It was a true. Perhaps he came off as unapproachable or evil. He had been evil once.. hadn't he? But he mellowed out when he became an adult.. at least until he was pushed. He loved that her statement mentioned the lion as a possible threat she could overcome, but not the wolf. Could it be that she felt more at ease towards him than the other stallion? It could be because the other male was a demon but he would like to hope it was her instincts instead. "Your parents named you well. You show independence and an untamable spirit. And of course, your coat..." his voice trailed off as he let his gaze wander over her body, "I don't think your name is a mere coincidence. You have wise parents." ((EEEP Tweek is up too late and is sad she can't even finish, plus my internet is about to get cut off, but this was so fun, continue on without me. You win for now Antichrist mua ha haaaaaa XDDD *luffles Meeki and Cherie* I am sad I have to leave : (!! This was fun. We need more competitive battles Meeki mua ha haaaaaa!! ))

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6667611[PRP] Beautiful Mothers (Tequila and Myoa) Nov. 21 06 ((You know the rules, please don't post if you are not Kona and I XD )) Tequila stood, feeling her heavy belly roll under her. It was such a strange but beautiful sensation, feeling life inside of her. She had heard that many of her friends were now pregnant as well, and couldn't believe how lucky they all were. In her mind, she longed for Lunaris, for she hadn't see him since her belly had sprung out. As she put her head down to graze, she could barely reach over the lump that took over.
She looked around, feeling a bit strange, but very at ease. It hadn't hit her yet that she was indeed a mother. Her mind was flustered, but overly excited at the thought of having children. It was a blessing she had dreamed of.Konalou Myoa trotted along, slowly and carefully, wary of the foals now inside her stomach. She sighed, needing to think. She was so blessed to be able to bring life into the world, and she was so happy about that, but... Myoa still was unsure if she could be a good mother. Hell, she knew nothing about parenting, and her own experiences as a foal weren't exactly helpful. She shook her head ruefully, and sighed. Myoa looked lovingly down at the stomach and smiled. Either way, she wanted to be a mother, and she felt so blessed and excited.
Spying a shady tree in the distance, Myoa decided that she needed a break. She looked longingly up at the skies above her, but she actually didn't mind being grounded too much. Who knows, Myoa thought, Soon, I may have a foal to share the skies with. Tequila decided to move forward a bit, and get herself out of the hot sun. Without even realizing it at first, she saw a very familiar figure resting in the shade herself. "MYOA!" She wanted to prance over to her with brilliant speed, but her belly would not allow it. She felt like a turtle, moving too slow for her own good.
When she finally was at a normal distance from her, she gleamed at her friend. "Congratulations on your blessing! May we both raise wonderful children." She giggled, feeling strange at the same time. Being a mother was such a strange but amazing feeling, and she was so happy to be able to share it with Myoa. "How have you been? Are you feeling well?" Konalou "Oh TEQUILA!!" Myoa herself wanted to race over to Tequila, well, specifically, fly over, but, apparently, it was not to be. She waddled over to her friend, until at last, they could talk.
Myoa nuzzles her friend fondly, "Congratulations yourself!!!!! And yes, to the skies above, may our foals be the liviest and healthist alive." She giggled, then looked her friend over with a detective's eye. "But well, well, well, you've certainly been busy since I last saw you!!!" She accused teasinlgy. She giggled, sighing happily, "I don't believe it, I'm going to be a blessed mother, some of my friends are going to be parents as well, but my best friend will be a mother with me!"
"I've been quite well, thank you. I feel great, though a little dissappointed that I'm "grounded." And what about you?" Tequila nuzzled Myoa back, excited that she was well. She blushed, and then looked back at her friend. "Yes.. as you can see some things happened but, Lunaris has been someone amazing in my life." She felt so girlish and young talking about him, and tried to steer back to being motherly. "I know isn't it wild? I am so thankful to have you here at this moment! I have been wanting to find you since I heard all of this news!" She gleamed at her friend.
"I can't wait for our children to play together.. though I will feel so old!" She laughed to herself. "Don't worry though, you will be back flying before you know it! Now you know how I feel." She winked and made a silly face. Konalou Myoa laughed heartily, admitting, "I feel like a foal again. It's the start of something new." She grinned, adding, "Besides, shouldn't foals make you feel young, with their hyperness?" She pawed at the earth, and beamed, "I can't wait either!! I really hope they become great friends." With wide-eyed excitment, she laughed, "I suppose we would have to introduce them first!"
Smiling blissfully, she looked at Tequila. "I know! Me too! Again, I'm so glad I'm going through all of this with my best friend!" Tequila nodded with Myoa. "Goodness, it will be fun, but exhausting." Just thinking about it was making her exhausted, but happy at the same time. "Ooh introduction will be fun! And I am sure they will get along very well!" She lifted her head and beamed. "Its just crazy to think about what personalities they may have, and what decisions they make and hardships they will face... I hope I can be a mother that is there for them.." She looked back at Myoa, and then said, "Let's be awesome mothers, together!" She giggled but knew they would be there to support each other in a time of need. Konalou Myoa grinned, "Cheers!" Giggling, her laugh was cut short as a cold snowflake fell into her mouth. Laughing even harder, she squealed, "It's snowing!!!" In a matter of minutes, the ground had a good, couple of centemeters thick blanket of pure, cold, white goodness. Myoa stared at the sky, emptying it's cold burden. This wasn't right. The snow was falling too fast... "Tequila..." Myoa began, altough was interuppted as a blast of freezing sparks blew into her face. "This is a blizard!!!" She yelled, fearing for the life within her. She couldn't get cold! They couldn't get cold! "We need shelter, fast!" Tequila eyes widened as she felt a cold rush sweep her body. "Myoa, what is going on!?" The green figure in front of her had started to weaken in her eye sight, and she feared for the both of them. She sprang towards Myoa, coming right next to hear body. "Over there, I think I see a tall ledge that could protect some of this wind from us!" She started moving forward, making sure that Myoa was staying right next to her. What a crazy concidence, though she shivered and felt her warm breath turn to frost as she huffed back and forth. "Almost there!" She yelled.

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6672563[PRP] Mano e Mano.. of Beauty! (Ariston and Guilian) Nov. 22 06 Through the dusk, Ariston wandered the sky in search of any mare he could find. It had been a low key day, and he was quite bored at the lack of attention. He surveyed the lands, but then found himself tired of the sky as well. As he perched towards a quiet spot, he sat and pouted at the uneventfulness of the day. 'How unsatisfactory' he thought to himself. He had spent half of his day at the stream like he usually did, but then got unlucky at his lack of finding someone. He wasn't in the best of moods, and sneered at the wasting of time that the day had brought him. All of the mares seemed to be in mating season, and he hoped that it was soon over so they would come flock again. He wasn't one for falling in love and raising a family. He just wanted his attention back.Cajmera Obviously there was such a thing as kindred spirits. Had Ariston but known it, similar thoughts were floating about in the mind of Guilian as rhe red cardinal soquili flew gracefully through the air, his mane and tail rippling in the evening breeze. All things considered, it hadn't been too bad a day for the red stallion; he's made the acquaintance of a lovely golden-hued mare with eyes like topazes. The downside? She had a mate and was obviously in love with him.
Oh well, you couldn't win them all; otherwise there'd be no thrill of victory when you DID win. Besides...he won enough to be able to give up one every now and then with dignity.
Smirking slightly, Guilian was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn't notice the black rose behind his ear coming untucked by the wind; he DID notice when it started to fall down to the ground. "Bother!" He didn't have enough roses to let them go tumbling away like that; consequently it took him no more than a second to change course and go diving after the rose.
Still, there was a silver linging to every gray cloud...quite literally! As he snatched at the rose with his teeth, Guilian suddenly spied a glimmer of silver down below on the ground. As he got closer he, he started to smile; he could see what was perhaps the most gorgeous mane he'd ever seen blowing in the breeze. Perhaps this wouldn't be a totally wasted day after all!
Of course, it didn't even occur to him that he was looking at the mane of a stallion... Ariston felt his ears go back instantly as he looked up to see a vibrantly red stallion approaching. 'Oh a Male.. great' he thought to himself, as he watched the red get closer from the sky. One of Ariston's traits was that he could smell a mare from many miles away, but a stallion was distasteful to his nose. He felt his mood sulk even more.
He moved his legs around so he was now facing where the stallion was going to land. He wanted to be ready for whatever was approaching. Ariston was not looking for a fight of any kind, even though most of his greetings resulted in some kind of quarrel. He lifted his head at a perfect angle, letting a portion of his hair fling up and then fall neatly into place. He was even grumpier at the thought of having to argue with a new speciman.
He observed what was coming towards him, and from the sight of things, it was going to be interesting. By the red stallion's gestures, it looked like he had enough confidence to put up with even Ariston. Feeling something like this picked at Ariston's interest, and he became a bit happier by the proud beauty approaching. Now was his test: would he respect the stallion for his true love for himself, or find him weak and more involved in others. This was going to be fun for him.Cajmera Ah, cruel reality; why did you have to lift the hopes so high, only to dash them to the ground like so much wheat seed? This was just not his day, was it?
Guilian had been looking forward to conversing with the beautiful owner of the beautiful mane...but as Ariston turned towards the cardinal stallion Gui felt his soaring hopes crash. A stallion. It was a STALLION that owned that lovely mane; talk about misleading! Somethings were just to cruel to bear, and this, on top of learning that the lovely Esperanza was taken, ranked right up there.
Still, it wasn't a total loss. Stallion or not, this strange Soquili was a rare beauty; proud of himself as Guilian was, he would be one of the first to admit that. Besides, golden manes and pale hair were all well and good...but at the end of the day, pastels would be washed out by bold and brilliant beauty like his own. The two of them were different enough that Guilian didn't feel exceptionally concerned; after all, there was no such thing as one level of loveliness!
Perhaps this wouldn't be a total loss. As Guilian landed, his keen eyes took note of the other's posture and air of confidence. This had the potential to be an interesting conversation.
"Good evening, friend. I see that you, like myself, are finding yourself alone at the end of the day; perhaps we should compare notes." Folding back his wings gracefully as he landed, Guilian sauntered past the white stallion to look into the stream. Critically eyeing his red reflection, he replaced the fallen rose with the ease of much practice; then, confident it would stick for at least a little longer, he turned to look at his new companion. Friend? Ariston chuckeled to himself. He watched the stallion be as careful to his own hair as he was to his own. It was good to see someone who kept up their appearance, and knew how important it was. "Why hello. Yes, today had been quite uneventful." He sighed, and wisped his tail up dramatically. He reopened his eyes in a demeanor of dramatics that usually made the other mares scream. Sometimes he couldn't help doing the same acts, even in the presence of a stallion.
As the red stallion was still perfecting himself, Ariston walked a bit closer, saying, "My name is Ariston. It is a pleasure. What is your name sir?" As Ariston spoke, he watched himsellf in the stream, focusing only on how he looked as he spoke. As the water rippled, he gleamed at the face that was looking back at him. When he was satisfied, he took a few steps back, and put his eyes on the red stallion.
"So I see you are a breed that can fly.." Ariston fluffed at his own wings and let them fall loosely from against his sides. " I don't know what I would do if I couldn't fly." He shook a bit from the thought of not having such a luxury. Cajmera Adjusting the last few stray curls with a wingtip, Guilian gave the other stallion a slightly scrutinizing look; though this was not the first other stallion he'd met since arriving in these lands, it WAS the first who seemed to care about appreances. Really, in some sense it was shocking that there weren't more that did; mares liked the stallions who knew how to present themselves, after all. But then, if the other stallions wanted to hurt their chances...well, that was their own fault!
At Ariston's introduction, he smiled a bit; sometimes it was possibly for ego to rule out manners, and it was nice to know that this particular stallion, for all his overtly obvious self-confidence, had not stooped to the level of snubbery and condescension. Then again...what did he have to snub Guilian over?
Sweeping back his wings gracefully, Guilian sank into a low bow at Ariston's introduction. "I'm called Guilian, Ariston; it's a pleasure to meet another who actually attends to their own appearance."
Chuckling a bit, he swept back his wings as he straightened up once again, thoughtfully eyeing the wings of his companion. Strange looking things that they were; instead of being feathered, they seemed to be made of stretched skin. Had he lost his feathers entirely, or was he perhaps in the middle of a molt? "Indeed, flying is a true advantage to one who travels; and evenif we were to be relegated to one place it would be pleasant to have the ease of travel, should the opportunity arise. But tell me, friend...have your wings always been like that? Unfeathered?" Ariston had felt the same way as Guilian in the respect of appearance. Not many males gave themselves the time of day to take care of themselves like they did, and it was an art that should be perfected. "I agree, it indeed is a pleasure." He bowed his head ever so slightly, making sure not to disturb his golden mane.
'Hm, so this fellow's name is Guilian' Ariston thought to himself. The only other stallion that he had such a run in was with Vudeux, but with that stallion it wasn't about competition. He felt a different feeling in the air with this stallion, as if some kind of competitiveness would reveal itself. He saw beauty in the stallion in front of him, and wondered if he had the correct mindset to follow up with his appearance.
As Guilian was looking at his wings funny, he couldn't help but sigh with the same expression he usually gave in this situation. "I am a Kalona, so I have the proper Kalona wings of course." He chuckled at the thought of having wings with feathers. "I usually get this same response.. is it so strange to be a Kalona?" The only other Kalona that he had run ins with was Wrath, but they had a stable relationship. He knew that he may have had a different appearance than the others, as well as a different evilness and rage, but it didn't stop him of being proud of his race.
"You seem like a suave fellow, Guilian." By the looks of things, Guilian definitely looked like he was smart with the mares. "Are you someone who falls for one mare, or enjoys all of them?" This was important for Ariston to determine what Guilian found more importannt: himself, or the love of a mare.
Cajmera So he was a kalona...well, in a way that made sense; looking at Ariston, Guilian finally realized that what he had at first perceived to be some sort of head ornament were in fact horns; horns and wings were traits usually associated with kalonas...but then, so were devil tail and a perpetually sour expression. Or at least, that was what he had heard. Having never met any prior to now, it was difficult to say exactly what traits they TRULY possesed...
"I can't say whether or not kalonas are rare; I myself have never met any, but that doesn't really mean anything." That aside, there had also been the rumor of kalona tempers and vicious behavior...but Guilian hadn't yet found any reason to fear this stallion, so he naturally wasn't about to start because of a breed interpretation!
Turning his back on the breed issue, Guilian latched onto the new subject of discussion offered by Ariston. Really, that was something he was much more interested in, anyway; talk of mares! And Ariston, kalona or no, seemed like the type that would be an interesting conversation partner on this matter...
Bowing slightly again, Guilian chuckled at Ariston as he began to situate himself a bit more comfortably, figuring that this conversation had the potential to get rather long. "You do me a great honor with your compliments, Ariston; I find myself thinking that the same could be said of you." Flicking his tail aside, the red stallion settled down on the ground with his legs extended ahead of him and his wings arranged gracefully over his back. "As such, I'm sure that you can understand I hate to kiss and tell." Winking, he tossed back his mane, then laughed. "Though there's a great difference between details and specifics."
And indeed, that was true. As long as no names were mentioned...you weren't going into specifics. Or as long as you kept SOMETHING to yourself...which he always did. "I find myself having a slight difficulty with your wording, friend Ariston, for I don't see the two as mutually exclusive. So let me tell you how it works for me."
Tilting his head to the side, Guilian pondered for a moment, thinking how best to phrase his thoughts. Direct was most likely the best...
"When I see a lovely mare, I think of nothing but her for as long as I am with her and devote my exclusive attentions to pleasing her...for what pleases her usually ends up pleasing me." Black eyes snapped as he spoke, and he gave Ariston a conspiratorial wink. "And I always enjoy time thus spent. However, being bound to one mare would be inconsiderate to marekind and cruel to myself; how can one choose just one when there exists such an exquisite range of temperaments, personalities, desires and wants? That goes for myself as well, of course; today I might desire to romance with pleasant words a quiet, sweetheart of a mare with hair of palest gold and eyes of deepest chocolate...tomorrow, my heart might turn to a boldly tempestuous beauty of black who desires nothing more than sheer physical pleasure and the roughness of pure passion. Limitations are for those who are unable to satisfy their desire for the fullest life has to offer. And truly...how could I in good conscience deny the sheer euphoria of experiencing me to all the other mares I encounter?"
Finishing up his little diatribe, Guilian quirked a brow queryingly at Ariston. "And which, my friend, are you?" Ariston chuckled for a second at the stallions reaction. "I myself have met a few Kalonas, thought I don't like to incorporate with them. They disgust me a bit, with their violence and such.." He scoffed, thinking about some he was not very fond of. "They truly put such an awful image on my race." It bothered him deeply that other Kalonas used Pride in the wrong context. He had nothing against what they chose to do, though he did find many of them unnattractive in how they presented themselves.
Ariston also decided to stand more comfortably, for it had become apparent that there was nothing else to really prove, beauty wise. He still kept his head up, though he let his back arch in a more comfortable position.
Listening to the stallion speak was something fun for Ariston. He was very confident in not only his looks, but his words. His wittyness and confidence elevated through the many motions he portrayed impressed Ariston beyond his first impressions.
He was a little taken aback by the stallions speech, and was wordless for a few seconds. "Of course I would agree with many of the points you give my good fellow. I am impressed with how well you put it all into words.." He was stunned at the ability this stallion had, not knowing if he was for real or just pulling this out of his butt out of luck. "I guess I don't even pay that much attention to mares as you do. You seem like you know many, and enjoy a variety of them. Of course I am one who does not stick to one, though I find my enjoyment in the most beautiful and hard to reach mares. I go only for the best, for that is what I feel I deserve. If I gave every mare I have encountered a chance with me, there would not be as much of a thrill." He winked back playfully, though true to how he felt. He knew it could get a variety of mares, but he enjoyed being impressed by the impressive. He also knew that mares themselves like to play games, so growing up, he decided he would create his own games to keep himself entertained. "Does that mean I am missing out?" He smiled playfully at the stallion.
Cajmera Stallion or no, this was shaping out to be one hell of an entertaining conversation. Guilian had started out a bit curious about the pretty-boy stallion who radiated self-confidence like the sun radiated light, but the longer he talked with him the more intrigued he got. Now, perhaps he wouldn't be QUITE so intrigued if they were both making a move on the same mare; but realistically, who wants that? Personal space and respecting your competetion went a long way, after all.
Of course, there were no available mares around to begin with, which was the whole reason that Guilian himself was here TALKING to Ariston. Funny how things like that worked sometimes.
Nodding his head in agreement, he listened to the golden kalona discuss his own race. Assuming that the stereotype of the breed was true, Ariston didn't seem to fit it that well. After all, they were supposed to be hideous to look at, weren't they? Not even the most jaded of hurt rivals could say that Ariston was anything less than pleasant to behold. Besides, who said that everyone had to get along with their own race?
However, Guilian found himself chuckling a bit as Ariston related his own opinions on romancing the fairer sex. "I see that we are not so different as we might be, in relation to passion. But I disagree that there is such a thing as the most beautiful mare, for my own wants and desires change so much that the mare I ardently lust for today is as unappealing as a dead toad tomorrow. Some might vaunt consistancy in aesthetics, and you yourself might believe that the most beautiful mares are all similar...but I can't tie myself down with such limitations."
As this was a topic he was VERY fond of, Guilian became a bit more animated as talked, ultimately rising back to his feet. "And in regards to your comment about deserving the best..." A sly smile crossed his face as he looked over at Ariston. "It's true that experiencing me is a great honor for a mare; I won't deny that there aren't certain mares who strike me more than others, mares who I am willing to keep coming back to; but at the same time, I can't deny experiencing me to mares who truly yearn for such. That would be a cruel blow, and I loathe the knowledge that I have wounded a mare. But perhaps you are a bit less civic minded than I myself am, which is not necessarily a problem. As for you missing out..."
Flicking a black rose from his tail at the Kalona, the wind stallion chuckled. "That all depends on what you yourself truly think, doesn't it?" Who knew, maybe it was for the best that they weren't going for the same mares...though he had to admit that he loved a challenge. But then, he wouldn't put it past Ariston to be very persuasive when he wanted to be, either... Ariston lifted his eyebrow dramactically at the stallions comment. "I do not find that I am tied with limitations, I am suprised that you consider them like that." He sighed, and looked at the stallion. " I am also suprised that you find them as limitations overall. They to me are as important as laws, for I am the best, so only the best may cherish what I am. I do see what you mean, there are of course many wonderful mares to take in, but I must stay true to what my passion is, and what the truth is."
He felt a slight frown develop on his face, only from dissapointment. Guilian had plenty of self confidence, which in return should realize that only the best could have him. He was using his ego differently, which confused Ariston.
As the stallion continued on about his confidence, Ariston felt himself drift for a second. It was hard for him to listen to another, especially a stallion, boast about themselves. It not only was completely irrevelvant in his mind, but it gave him a headache.
"Yes yes, I understand you love yourself, trust me I am one to understand.." He shook his head, getting all of Guilian thoughts out of it. "I also understand that you are popular, and understand your abilities with mares." He looked back at him, sterner than before. "I guess I am just still confused on why you give many mares chances, when they are the ones that should only be idling and chasing you. If that is the case, then I indeed applaud that."
He watched Guilian flick his tail, and let out a slight glare from his eye. The stallions cockiness was starting to piss him off, not out of jealousy, but because of something else. His attractiveness and achievements with mares thus far could mean many things. He was aware of the attractiveness and confidence, as well as manners of the stallion, but he couldn't tell if he was also just lucky at what he did indeed do. He wondered if the stallion had truly faced a challenge, which would let him see things more maturely, like himself. Cajmera Listening to Ariston go off on the issues that he had with Guilian's beliefs, the red cardinal stallion started to feel a frown of his own develop. It had seemed like Ariston had understood where Guilian was coming from so well, but listening to his selfish reasoning for limiting himself to the mares he deemed 'worthy'...
Well, for one thing Guilian had issues with the idea of there being a 'best' mare. He had been speaking the truth when he said that his desires were always changing; he had ideals, it was true, but those ideals were based on what sort of mare he currently desired. From the way Ariston was talking, it seemed as though he had one set ideal that he hung with, day in and day out, which he never wavered from. Such consistancy was foreign to both his rapid-turnover nature and his personal definition of public service.
For Guilian, sex was about more than satisfying his own needs; it was about satisfying the needs of the mare in question. He harbored no illusions about his capabilities, knowing (in his own mind) that he was magnificant; therefore, the least that he could do was share himself with the mares that were so desirous. As he saw it, Ariston's 'limiting' habits were horribly selfish to the greater good. Had the last vestiges of charity died out in stallion-kind already?
"I fail to see what you are referring to, friend Ariston. While it is true I focus my efforts on mares that have attracted my interest, often have I been the one pursued. Usually, things end the same way regardless of who instigated the encounter...though I must admit that a few times things haven't turned out quite the way I hoped." A wry smile tilted Guilian's face; after all, that very thing happening today was the whole reason he was here talking to another stallion and not passing the evening hours in the company of a more charming companion.
"Though I imagine that your selectivity works out for you, it's simply not something that I can see myself doing." Ariston sighed and laughed, and then put his gaze back on the stallion. "We are not as similar as I thought, though its not a bad thing. Maybe it is for the best overall. Though I may be selfish and find everything I do perfect, I will try and allow my mind to subside for a moment, which is something I rarely do." He found enjoyment from the stallions company, and he decided to sit back and refrain from his normal tactics, which usually included some kind of quarrel. His day had been a dissapointment, and instead of ruining this chat as well, he sighed and decided to save his energy for the moment. Guilian had proven himself pollite and respectful, so there was no reason to not show him the same respects.
"I hope this isn't too personal of a tangent, but is there a favorite mare in your mind currently?" He winked playfully but was curious at who the stallion was taken aback with at the moment. It may have been that Guilian had more respect for mares than Ariston himself did, but either way for the peaceful moment he was having, he decided to put those thoughts past him, and not judge the stallion. Ariston found that he had some respect for the stallion, and tried to ignore the other critical feelings that usually blurted out of his mouth.
As he swept one of his hooves on the ground, his mind was blurred with his current thought process. He was acting very out of character than he normal did, but because Guilian was not proving to be a threat in anyway, he was trying to not feel bad. Ariston thought he was in the danger zone earlier when it came to his emotion rising, but he just couldn't take arguing right now, especially when he knew the stallion in front of him wouldn't listen. Maybe some of the respect he had for Guilian was that he was as self-confident and minded than Ariston himself, and arguing woud be completely useless in that case. If Ariston chose to never listen, Guilian would probably be similar in that respect.
Silly quarrels were only fun for Ariston if he was able to challenge another's mind, and change the way they would think. He knew that that would indeed be impossible with Guilian.Cajmera A truce? Well, that was what it sounded like Ariston was calling...and really Guilian himself could see it that way. Perhaps not with hooves or teeth, nor yet with posturing and accusations, the two of them had somehow been testing each other. He wasn't sure how he had passed muster in the kalona's eyes, or if he even had; however, there was something oddly likeable about this stallion in spite of his selfish approach to mares.
"Indeed, we seem to have a few things in common, but at the same time are different enough that we plausibly wouldn't be pursuing the same mare!" And that was the meat of the matter, wasn't it? Guilian enjoyed a challenge as much as the next stallion, but he'd never enjoyed competing with another who was right there. Very unfair to the mare to make her choose, after all...nor was it fair to the other stallion to get blown off when the mare ultimately chose him! Though he had to admit that perhaps this Ariston would have been a more worthy rival than most...he didn't like the idea of testing that theory out!
At Ariston's little question though, Guilian found himself chuckling out loud. "In the spirit of one stallion of the world to another, eh? Well, you seem like the type who might be able to see where I'm coming from. However..." Here, the cardinal's black eyes snapped a challenge at the pale kalona as Guilian once more settled himself down on the ground. "I expect to hear what you've got say afterwards; it seems hardly likely you're out here chatting with a stallion on a beautiful night for no reason!" That seemed like a fair give-and-take...and who didn't like hearing a good story, anyway? Ariston sighed but let out a sly grin. "Truthfully I don't have much to tell. I am around here and there, but have not found a respectful mare in a while. It may be that I am too judgemental, but being selfish is more fun anyways." He winked at Guilian but that pondered at how he truly felt. His selfishness was just something many mares wouldn't put up with themselves, especially the some that actually had confidence. Those were always the most fun for him.
He chuckled at the stallions other comment. "Heh, it is very unlikely for me to persue a mare in the first place, thought I have had my moments. I doubt we will run into that problem.. though if it did actually happen.." He let out a laugh, and decided to just leave the thought be. "It would indeed be interesting."
He wiggled his tail at the feel of a cool breeze, and shook out one of his legs. "Goodness we have been standing here so long one of my legs has fallen asleep." He pollitely excused himself for a second and stumbled away until his leg had woken up from its daze. Ariston thought for a second and looked around, and then turned back to the stallion. "How about a change of scenery? Would you be interested in just flying for a bit?"
Cajmera ((For some reason this rp makes me think of chess XD)) Chuckling a bit, Guilian tilted his head to the side and regarded Ariston as the kalona aired his own opinions. It was rather amusing to hear the views of another 'stallion of the world', different as they were from his own; the more they talked, the more Guilian found himself enjoying the other stallion's ways, selfish or no. Of course, Guilian had probably never met another Soquili he truly disliked before...but there had to be a first time for everything. For now, at least, it didn't seem that Ariston would be that first.
At Ariston's comment about the time they'd been standing about, he automatically looked to the sky, a bit shocked to see how low the sun had sank. "My goodness but you're right, friend; time flies when you're having fun, I suppose!" Extending his feathery wings, he shook them out a bit, then went into a full body (wings included) stretch. "As to a flight, that sounds like a good plan. I must admit that I'm rather curious to see those featherless wings of yours in action!" And indeed he was; it just didn't seem like they should be able to support the weight of a foal, let alone a kalona adult! Ariston snickered at Guilian, still confused to his reaction to his wings, but decided on that note to be the first of them to make a beautiful scene while flying. He carefully extended the length of this wings, showing Guilian that they were larger than they appeared. With one, two, and three swoops, he began to rise perfectly, while his hair stayed neatly tucked where it always was. He lifted his head a bit more, and gained some height, as he waited for the other stallion to join him. It was a wondreful night to fly, especially because there was no threatening breeze to mess up his hair.
He looked back towards Guilian, and said, "Heh, see, these wings work!" He chuckled to himself and observed the area around them. According to his senses, there really wasn't much around them, which gave him the idea to search around a bit, or even just fly for the sake of enjoyment. He was happy that Guilian approved his plan so politely and was calm with the same idea as well.
As he watched the red stallion extend his own wings, he saw that they too were much larger than he first thought, being tucked behind his back. "Hmm, I think I am beginning to understand how feathers work now." He nodded and watched the stallion through his routine. Cajmera Flicking his tail back and forth, Guilian watched with interest as the kalona took to the air. Though kalona wings were certainly a lot more...well, reptilian than his own, they didn't look half-bad in the air; maybe it was because when one was flying, you took more note of the power behind and less of the specifics. Besides, reptilian or no those were nifty looking wings in flight.
However, skin wasn't nearly as neat as feathers...maybe because skin had nothing to hide when at rest. Flicking open his own wings, they seemed to grow almost exponentially from their closed size, but that was the beauty of feathers. Tilting them slightly so that they were angled upwards, he raised his nose to scent the air, then with a graceful kickoff was arrowing up into the sky. As he flew, the speed of his ascension fanned his mane and tail out behind him, the curls becomingly framing his face and accenting his wings with their black tips. But at least his roses were staying in place!
As he reached the same height Ariston was occupying, the cardinal soquili gracefully spun over in midair, grinning upside-down at the kalona. "I must say, those wings of yours provide a decent amount of lift, even if theu are lacking in feathers!" As Guilian swept himself up into the sky, it looked beyond natural, and his feathers rippled gently against the wind. Ariston watched quietly, and then said, "Is it warmer with feathers? They look like the could handle a temperature change well." He nodded, and then turned his head to look at his own. Although he had never necessarily been cold because of his wings, Guilian's just looked.. Fuzzier. He wondered if the mares would prefer that in their taste.
Ariston chuckled at the upside-down stallion in front of him. "Heh, of course they provide enough lift!" He eyed the horns on both of them. "I guess its a Kalona trait.. most likely used for battles.." He scoffed, and thought about how distasteful that would be. "These wings are definitely built strong, I enjoy them. I'm sure other Kalona use them differently, so I try to keep them elegant looking."
He turned his head to scope which direction to go. "Heh, any preferences on which way to go? I am indecisives." He laughed to himself at his current flaw. Usually he would take charge and want to make all of the decisions, but currently he was very at ease.Cajmera Following through on his roll with the ease of much practice, Guilian righted himself with a laugh at Ariston's question. Warm? That was one way to look at it, he supposed, though feathers had many better uses than warmth. For one thing, they looked so very smashing! "I don't know if they're any warmer than anything else in flight, but when one is on the ground and can wrap up in them, feathers are nice. Rather similar to a double layer of fur."
Glancing back briefly at his own wings, he eyed up Ariston's as well. They didn't look exceptionally warm, but bare skin wasn't noted for being too cozy. "So, wings are used in combat? Seems like a decent way to scar, marr, and otherwise disfigure them." He could imagine some mares would be attracted to the rugged look of scars, but he himself had always felt that physical perfection was infinitely better than 'rugged'; besides, he was perfection in and of himself, so leave the ruggedity to those that needed it!
The image that thought brought to mind was of a scarred and disfigured kalona, an image that caused the feathered stallion to burst out laughing just as Ariston asked his opinion. He managed to stem his laughter long enough to indicate a direction, then resumed his snickering. Good grief, if the kalona fought as much as he'd heard, he didn't doubt there were some that were solid scarring! Ariston watched Guilian's feathers wiggle in the wind, and he could see how they could be a double layer of fur. "I am just thankful to have wings, I don't know what I would do without flight. The thought of not having that option is... scary." He felt one of his wings twitch almost simultaneously. The mare that hung around his teepee struggled with her inability to fly, and he started to understand why she was so emotional about it.
Ariston nodded as Guilan spoke, feeling his wings move up and down, giving him a slight bounce in the wind. "Yes, many kalona that I know are full of scars, and they find it something they are proud of." To Ariston, it was not only a weak way to be proud, but it was completely distasteful to everything he stood for. "I think it is gross, and I would never use that as an excuse for not having beauty, and just throwing something out their to be proud of.." He cringed, feeling some of his sharp teeth push together. "I guess I will never understand it.. though many don't understand me." He winked at Guilian, and tried to get some other Kalona out of his head.
Because of Aristons un-Kalona tatics of life, it made it very hard for him to not only get along with other Kalona, but he just didn't have the patience to listen to their craziness as well. The idea of a race being one thing always made him fume. He was too proud to even try to learn their ways, but he didn't need them anyhow.
Ariston followed Guilian in the air, turning his nose back and forth, and feeling the breeze chill against his face. He was starting to lighten up more, and was happy to be discussing these things with the stallion. Both Ariston and Guilian seemed as if the judging and first impression factor was long gone. "Do you find that there is judging from your species to another when it comes to wind soquili?" Ariston never really knew what happened with some of the other soquili breeds, and he was interested in their relationships with each other.
Cajmera As they flew along and Guilian chatted with Ariston, he glanced downwards at the same time, wondering what the sight of the two winged stallions flying through the night sky must look like. Undoubtably Ariston's gleaming white form had to stand out like some sort of ethereal being, but his own vibrant red must have taken on a dark and pulsing tone in the darkness, rather like a fire that was slowly going out. It had to be a lovely sight, and he in that sense found himself envying the hypothetical ground denizens.
But that didn't mean that he wasn't enjoying this conversation immensely. Guilian was used to talking to stallions, but there was usually a distinct lack of the sense of cameraderie that seemed to grow between himself and Ariston. Other stallions were either hostile towards him, jealous of him, in awe of him; but now he could talk about the things that were truly important in life with another who understood that fact. And while it wasn't quite as nice as being with a mare (ok, not even CLOSE to being as nice), it was still a very enjoyable state of affairs.
Ariston's question about wind relations brought his attention firmly back to the topic at hand, though; he'd never really thought about or noticed any judging, had he? "I think that there is less conflict among my breed than between those of your race and the general population, friend Ariston; the only thing that sets the winds apart from the regulars is our wings. We are otherwise almost identical. I won't argue that there aren't some winds who have superiority complexes, and there are some regulars and occassionally unicorns that resent the fact we can fly, but I would say for the most part there really is no 'wind mentality', if that makes any sense."
He wasn't really sure if it DID make sense, but it was the truth. Wings on winds and horns on unicorns were the only main differences; most behavior and physical properties were the same. Although Unicorns were a bit nicer than most, it seemed... "It does indeed make sense," Ariston said, glancing down. "That is lucky, that so many breeds can coexist. Most Kalona have superiority complexes, believing that we are the 'one true breed' or something." He sighed, glancing back at Guilian. "I definitely make them angry, but its more fun that way." He chuckled, closing his purple eyes, but then reopening them faintly. "Everything about me makes them angry, but I know some of it is jealousy." He wondered sometimes if his relations with other breeds felt threatening to other Kalona, for it made Kalona themselves seem nicer and such.
What Guilian said definitely made sense, and Ariston realized that the friendliness of the 'other' breeds most likely was the reason he talked to them. Plus, there were many beautiful mares to acknowledge. He knew that staying within the Kalona breed was almost a law for them, but he always shook that mentality off. How could he ignore such other beautiful creatures? Well, that was precisely why he didn't.
As they flew through the air, the gold stallion continued forward, shifting his weight from side to side naturally. He was quiet for a few seconds, only in the sense that he was comfortable. Then, finding his mind again, he reopened his mouth to say, "I'm sure you could agree with me that there are too many mares to be restricted to just one kind." He winked at Guilian playfully. "Plus, Kalona mares are very violent.." He sighed, and thought about the ones he had met so far. "They are not delicate and gentle, most times I feel as if I am the one who is going to get beat up." He snickered.
Cajmera Ah yes, jealousy. That was a concept Guilian knew all too well, especially when he was around a mated or attached mare. The boyfriend/mate was usually so transparently jealous it was often laughable; as though it was Guilian's fault that many mares found him more attractive than their mates! That was no reason for them to take out their upset on HIM. "Jealousy is a great negative power in our species, and not just within the kalona. I think that everyone has some sort of insecurity...well, almost everyone." Here he winked at Ariston; as though they could possibly have insecurities!
Ariston's comment about kalona mares caused Guilian to crack a smile, though. "Ah, but there's something to be said about the danger factor in kalona mares. Somehow the concept of having to watch one's back strikes me as being exceptionally interesting...not to mention the feather in one's cap about taming a kalona, or even just experiencing one. He'd not so much as encountered one, but now he was intrigued...
Kalonas on his mind, Guilian was temporarily distracted from his companion, and during that distraction he was startled to note how much the moon had fallen. "My goodness, we've been talking for such a long time the moon is starting to set. How time flies, huh?"
Grinning, Guilian pulled back his wings and swooped, birdlike, across Ariston's flight path. "It's been a pleasure meeting you, friend Ariston; I can't recall a time I ever enjoyed the company of a male so much. But if I am to be adequately prepared for the challenges of tomorrow, I should be continuing on my way."

It had been days since her belly had sprung out, and she couldn't wait to see her beautiful babies that would soon be born.
It had also been days since she had seen Lunaris, and it made her a bit sad. She would wander around aimlessly, hoping to somehow find him. She knew that eventually he would appear. She kept her hopes and spirits up, knowing that it was better for the children as well. She turned her head to the sky, hoping to see Lunaris fly past on this day. Would she be so lucky? tani duh! Lunaris floated overhead. He had taken a long time away, exploring for something, he wasn't sure what. He felt he had found it though and it was time for him to return home and find his friends.
He hoped no one was horribly worried, but he doubted he was right. He knew that Tequila was one to worry if he left for long, and this was quite a trip he went on. He frowned at his actions slightly as he saw a number of soquili grazing below. He scanned the small herd looking for Tequila, but did not find her. He himself was a little worried as to her whereabouts as he flapped and got a few feet higher in the air.
He continued flying searching for his good mare. As a breeze floated by, she imagined him soaring in the sky like an angel. She giggled at first of the thought of such a silly image, but imagined how strong he looked in the sky. She decided to walk on a bit, and vanish away from some of the other Soquili that were near by. Each time she saw a Wind Soquili woosh past, she would focus up on who it was. She is was in a pretty common area for that purpose exactly.
In an instant, she felt this strange feeling, and looked up quickly to see what was around her. At first there was nothing noticeable in the sky, but a few seconds later she saw a white figure glide past. She decided to take a shot and yell, and hope that her instinct was right. "Luuunaaariiss!" She said, as best as she could. She felt so weak, her belly ached through the long breath. She kept her eyes on him, wondering if it was indeed him.
tani duh! As Lunaris flapped again, he heard something fill his ears. Like the calling of a ghost, he heard his name, the voice of Tequila. He swereved around, trying to get a better view of what lingered below, and saw a grey mare, standing a ways off from the rest of the herd.
He began to fly lower in the sky, and soon landed gallopping as he touched down and losing speed as he pulled in his wings. Spotting Tequila again, he trotted over to her. "Tequila, how are you doing!?" Tequila gleamed that she was right, and when she saw Lunaris indeed land, she wiggled over to him the best that she could. "Well.. I am great, but fat!" She giggled to him, and nuzzled him hello. "I am ready for these little ones to come to this world." She was ready to be a mother, and raise the foals with Lunaris.
"How are you? What have you been up to? It feels like it has been too long.." She couldn't tell if it was just her fault for worrying so much, but she had missed him so. Seeing him well raised her spirits, and she gained some energy back.
She wondered if he was as excited to be a father as she was for a mother. "Are you excited to take on fatherhood?" She giggled, knowing he would be a great father.

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6842737[PRP] A Stunning Meeting (Ariston and Fiore Neve) Dec 4th 06 Through the sky he galloped, while flopping his head up every now and then to secure his hair into place. It was a gorgeous day for flight, and the wind had show itself to not be a threat to his hair. As he scoped the area, his eyes scanned at the many Soquili below him. None were tickling his fancy at the moment, so he decided to continue on, in hopes of something else. He wasn't sure why he was so indecisive, but a part of him was just bored. For many days his routine had become too daily to handle. He sighed to himself and swayed back and forth, slowly lowering himself to a better vision for other Soquili to see. He wondered how perfect he looked, and if his beauty overpowered the very sky itself. Closing his eyes gently, he held his head high and continued forward, taking in bits of attention here and there.Naita The winter's chill beginning to creep into her body, a mare made her way idly about the meadows, bereft of the companions she had made her home with, exploring, instead, this new world on her own. She had been aptly named, a flower of the snow, for her mane held the colour of spring blossoms, her form the purity of winter's snow. Her adored adornment held price of place over all, however, a golden filigree mask that sat beneath her horn. Golden hooves matched both the horn and mask, and were at that moment engaged in testing the consistency of the ground before her, a great and sudden paranoia of stepping into a bog suddenly sweeping over her mind.
It seemed solid enough, but still she made only tentative steps, lest it suddenly turn to mush beneath her. It seemed Ariston's bordom would soon subside, for as he idly glided forward, he saw something in the distance that finally caught his attention. He could already tell it was a mare from his obnoxious senses, but a part of him was flustered and more confused than normal. He wondered if it was someone new then, which made him more curious.
He continued forward until the vision of the mare became more clear. With a stunning white coat and lucious pink hair, his eye's widened naturally, which did not happen much. He dramatically made his way from the air, acting slower than usual so she would notice him, and so he would not startle her. With one last flick of mane and tail he finally made his way onto the ground.
Eying the princess-like figure in front of him, he bowed his head cordially and said, "Why hello there miss. My name is Ariston. May I have the pleasure of learning your name?" He could not get over her hair, it was as strangely natural as his own. It had been a long time since a mare had impressed him, so he was anxious to meet the stunning mare.Naita If he sought to gain attention, it seemed he was well practiced, for the descent was bound to grab attention. The mane alone on this stranger was the length of many a tail Fiore had seen. Indeed, she mused, it was long as a tale, and likely had many to tell. It was his horns, however, that latched her attention. She had yet to meet a Kalona before this moment, and the sight of horns so entirely unlike her own solitary and straight adornment caught at her imagination. The wings she could accept as a method of flight, but the horns she really could not quite understand.
However, a greeting followed his showy approach, and she replied in kind, inclining her head as she spoke. "I am Fiore Neve," manners commanded she hold back the following comment dancing on her tongue, but she was easily comparable to a child, innocent in the arts of conversation, or indeed, much. "Your horns are different," tumbled out of her mouth, and though wary lest he take offence, and not tell her more, she was unable to feel shame, for she truly did wish to know why. Ariston chuckled and looked at her slyly. "Different? Now I have heard many comments about them, but different is a new one." He sighed and took a deep breath, closing his eyes. "Its just a Kalona trait, I am guessing that many Kalonas use them to battle. I would never want to injur myself like that, so I try to stay away from that maddness." Ariston, to many other Soquili, was a "nice" Kalona. He showed others the respect they deserved, but many were unaware of his sleek Kalona blood that indeed ran through his veins. He was lucky, though, that his looks and charm were able to hide most of that.
"Fiore, it is nice to meet you then. I have a question myself.." He flicked his head up once again, letting his hair bounce, which was a habit. "Your hair is very stunning, and being a hair feen myself, I am grateful to witness such wonder.." His eyes rolled from curl to curl, desiring their natural bounce. "How do they stay like that, even with this weather damage?" He was taken aback, for any mare who took this good care of themselves was ranked high in his eyes.((They both have body jewelry XDD *luffles her pearls* I always forget Ariston has JLo ish jewelry X;3)) Naita The comments about his horns she drank in, savouring each morsel of information whilst eyeing the appendages. Kalona was a race of which she had heard snippets, but not much, though tales of behaviour did arise that rather shocked the innocent mare. He began speaking again before she could ask more questions, thus she satisfied herself with tilting her head on an angle and inspecting the horns once more before turning her attention to his words.
Her mane? The question gave her pause, for she really rather liked her mane, it's curl, it's colour, it's general, as she liked to think, prettiness. But how did she keep it in place? She hardly knew. "It just... stays that way, really." A thought occurred. "I have no wings though, so can't fly to get wind through it, or run when the weather might make the ground unstable, so it really has no chance to spoil."[Hehe, I was thinking that earlier, they're blinged out. xD] Ariston nodded as she spoke, thinking about not having the ability to fly. "Does it sadden you at all, well I mean to not be able to fly?" He had always wondered that, for the other mare that hung around his teepee was very emotional about that issue. Flying was something he enjoyed to a great extent, and he couldn't imagine not doing it. Sometimes he felt that his domain was the sky itself. "I do know what you mean, I try to avoid flying on too windy of a day. Hair damage is the worst." He wiggled his head to get a piece of mane out of his face.
Ariston eyed the horn on her head and pondered a thought. "You know, you have a horn yourself.. I guess we aren't so different, then." He winked playfully, and whipped his tail into the air. She was so calm, so he didn't want to act too intimidating like he usually did.Naita Sadden her? Little managed to darken the unicorn's outlook enough to cause sadness, it simply never ocurred to her to mourn for something she had never known. It would, she supposed, be like being sad that she had a horn, whilst her companions did not. She could not, for what was hers was, and what was not, was other's. "I have never tried flying, so I do not know if I should miss it." The theatrics as he discharged his mane to it's proper place took over her attention for a moment, gaze idly toying on that waterfall of hair. To be sure, he did have a lot of mane to worry about.
The mention of her own horn provoked a smile, sending it twitching at her lips. "Yours still seem different, Ariston. More... well, I don't really know. Just not the same." Ariston looked at her, charmed by her simple and elegant responses. "I guess that is true then, I apologize. I never thought of it that way." There was something about her, maybe it was her innocent face or lack of attention that had him dazed on her.
"Is my difference that disgusting?" He eyed her, confused by her reaction. Many would look at him and find his 'different Kalona image' as something of utter beauty. "I am not sure what you mean..." He frowned, and sniffled through his nostrols. He was extremely confused by the comment, and was unsure how to react. Usually, he would just get angry or rude back, but he felt himself struggling to make such gestures so soon with her. Naita This response served only to confuse the unicorn, she had not realised her words could offend, or that fact could be subjective, subjectivity fact in the minds of her fellows. "Disgusting? No. Just different from mine. Not straight, not forward. I haven't seen anyone with two horns before." Nor had she seen wings such as those on his back, or indeed, a Soquili other than herself that wore jewellery. But she was like a child to these lands, unaware as she was inexperienced, soaking in what she saw, what she heard, what she learned. No, Fiore Neve would never be cunning as some, but she would learn at least the ways of this place, so she hoped. Ariston closed his eyes and chuckled softly. He then reopened his eyes slowly and gazed back at the mare. He calmed his senses down and made himself realize that she really did mean no harm. "Ahh, I see." He said, smiling gently. "Two horns is a Kalona trait I guess, am I the first you have run in to? That might make your Kalona experience confusing, then." He brushed his head forth to adjust his hair, and thought about what reaction she would make to some of the other more vicious Kalona. Thinking about it made him worried, and he hoped she would never experience it, or if she did that she would be protected. Naita To this she nodded, though briefly, as a thought struck her. "I've never met anyone else with two horns, so I must not have. So... they all have two horns then? And wings?" My, these were lucky Soquili. She had met others with wings, and she herself had a horn, but to have both? That must have been luxury indeed! She had not thought they could be mutually exclusive, but nor had she thought they could not be. "Are there any with three horns? Or four?" Now her mind was racing with possibility. "Or more than two wings, perhaps?" This stallion seemed to know a deal about the place she had found herself, it was time to tap into a little of this knowledge, to indulge her own extremely experiences with those of a more seasoned palette.
The excitement of thought was evident in her frame, eyes bright, head tossing gently with each thought, those spring-like curls bouncing with each movement. Fiore had no ability, indeed, no need, to hide her thoughts, for a mind such as hers had no guise in deception. Ariston's eyes widened as the mare's nature changed to utter excitement. He let out a smile at her reaction, and was happy to respond.
"Yes, I would say from the Kalonas I have met that most have that same setup, though some have different tails." He wisped his into the air naturally on that thought, happy that he had lucious hair rather than a crazy battle weapon. "Actually yes, I know of a female with extra horns, though I do not know of a Kalona with extra wings. I briefly encountered one Soquili though, with multiple wings.." He remembered meeting Lucifer briefly and scoffed under his breath. "It is quite impressive, though, to be able to have that many wings. He is quite a sight to see." In Ariston's mind he wanted Fiore to stay away from such a Soquili, as if they were opposites in pure and evil. "So what other questions do you have, m'lady? I am happy to share any info that I can." He smiled gently, and enjoyed the mares company and presence. Because she was so simple and innocent, Ariston had no need to put up any kind of front or strut around. It actually saved him some energy for a change, so he enjoyed himself naturally.Naita This information was enough to set Fiore's mind racing, imagining each strange creature unfolding itself full in her mind, masses of wings and horns dancing on their forms. What a sight to see! Like some kind of strange dance across their frames!
More questions? Oh yes, she had every question under the sun! But which to state? Which to ask? Those blue eyes twinkled as they met Ariston's gaze, simple idolatry won by his willingness to be burdened by questions. "You say your kind have horns as weapons. Why would anyone need a weapon? Do you fight? Here?" He sighed, only because he did not want to break it to the lovely mare that there was indeed bloodshed. He would never want such things to go near her, though maybe it was better if he told her everything and how it was, so her awareness might help her.
"There is indeed fighting, especially between the Kalona race. Other races have their quarrels, though Kalonas are extremely vicious. Although I have not run into one, another purely evil race are the Skinwalkers. They tend to stray away from all living things, luckily." Then he continued on, thinking about himself. "No no, I don't prefer fighting at all. It's too ruthless, and I could never damage myself like that." With a flick of his head his mane engulfed him through the golden locks. He wondered how she would react to such awful truths.
"On a brighter note, there are many lovely Soquili to find and meet here, that are purely good. There is a lot of good here, that even I can recognize." He nodded to her, slightly smiling.
