Kanati nuzzled Starshine thankful she was ok.
"Come on I dont want to be hear when the bad spirits come, their voices are most unkind." Kanati started walking to make his way off the beach.
Stopping to make sure she was following. Should he go on with the rest or the planned day or was it all ruined now.

Starshine nodded her head and followed him faithfully down the beach. She walked close to his side as her hooves lightly kicked up the powder like sand. "Kanati...please dont let that get you down. We both are alright and we should be thankful for that...and live our life to the fullest. "

"I suppose your right Starshine I just wanted today to be perfect and now it feels ruined." Kanati sighed abit, but stopped to nuzzle Starshine. "Do you still feel like doing the other things I had planned?" Kanati asked not wanting to take away from her fun though not really feeling like doing anything now that he had taken the life of a creature.

Starshine looked at him and offered him a smile. She saw no fault in him and nuzzled him softly. "I think the question would better be asked to you My love.... If you do not want to continue on with he days activities we can go and spend a quiet day together. I have no objections to going forward with what you have planned...But if your heart is no longer into it, then perhaps it would be better to do it another day."

Kanati thought for a moment then smiled as she nuzzled him.
"We shall continue then, besides my birthday isnt tomarrow its today." He hadnt ment to reveal the fact that it was his birthday it just somewhat slipped out. Kanati nuzzled her back and went upon the task of getting his mind together. Leaving the sand he begain to walk back in the direction they had come in.

Starshine followed him and lightly tilted her head, sending the rainbow locks spilling over her pale fur. She blinked at him, what was a birthday? It sounded important. She paused and chuckled lightly. "Um.. " she felt so foolish. "What is a birthday?" she asked him at length. Kanati was always so wise, it seemed like he was forever a teacher to her, but he was more than that now, so much more.

Kanati turned his head and gave her a weird look. For one he hadnt realized till just now that he had let slip it was his birthday, but the fact that she didnt know what id meant made him even more surprise.
"You dont know what a birthday it Starshine? Its the day that marks the anniversary of my birth. When I was still with my family we celabrated the day I turned one and so on, didnt you ever do anything like that?" Kanati wasnt keen on saying his age he felt himself pretty old and didnt want to admit to it.

Starshine giggled and shook her head. "No... But it must have been wonderful. I never had a family of my own. " Starshine felt suddenly very old and very young at the same time. Just how many seasons had marked her passing. How long did Unicorns live? She blinked a bit and tilted her head. It seemed so long ago that she had been a foal... a little filly alone in the world, but everything had always been happy. Days filled with warm sun shine rays and sweet clover and honey.
She turned her gaze towards him and shook herself out of her day dream. "I'm sorry I didnt know.." she said. "I would very much like to continue celebrating this special day with you."

"I didnt tell you because I wanted this day to be about the best gift the spirits have ever given me in all my years. I wanted this day to be about you." Kanati nuzzled Starshine before he started walking again as they went he suddenly made a shushing sound and just in the distance from the little kawani village the sound of a drum was carried on the chilled air. The harvest festival was reaching its peak and he thought this would be a good way to spend their day.

Starshine smiled as she turned her head towards Kanati, nuzzling against his velvet fur softly. "Thank You Kanati. You leave me speachless... " She honestly didnt know how to articulate her love for him, but her heart was soring with his words.
Her ears flicked towards the village as the drum beats began to dance through the air. She smiled, as this reminded her of their very first meeting together. The day she had truely listened to the drum beats and opened both her heart and her mind to Kanati.

Kanati smiled at Starshine he loved making her happy. As they neared the villiage he gave her an odd glance as he thought about something that he had been practicing to ask for a long time now. He thought he was ready but now that the moment seemed right his tongue fel tied. He stopped finally as they came to a place where they could see the villiage and the dancers it was an almost romantic sight as it was almost like they had seen when they had met.
"Starshine there is something Ive been wanting to ask you."

Starshine watched the dancers in the distance as the drum beats drifted through the air and seemed to thump with the heart beat of the earth at her hooves. The pale mare took on a dreamy expression as she closed her eyes, just listening to the primal drum beats and the beat of her heart matching the steady rythem. She felt one with everything in that moment of time, and she couldnt have been more happy.
Her pale eyes fluttered open and her gaze fell upon kanati. She smiled at him and tilted her head sending a splash of color washing over her fine coat. "what is it Kanati?" she asked him.

Kanati looked into Starshine's eyes and just felt like he melted. "Well see I uh well, you know I love you very much right and you love me right. Well see I can never see life without you I just couldnt live without you. Soo I was wondering if you would like to be my lifemate?" Kanati's eyes looked worried of what she might say. He was alittle upset with himself as well for not saying it the way he planned he thought the right words but they came out different.

Starshine giggled softly and her cheeks glowed pink. Her eyes glittered like stars as she looked at him, and a smile crossed her face." I would love to." she said with a voice that was amazingly clear for the fact her body was shaking. She rushed to his side and nuzzled him, lightly lipping at his mane and neck.

Kanati nuzzled Starshine back a great smile on his face as he did. "You've made me so happy." Kanati felt the wind dance abit, but in this moment he ignored the voices around him and devoted his everything to this moment. It was one he had looked fowards to so and even though the day had not gone as planned it didnt matter now, he knew in this moment he would get his wish of being with Starshine forever.
"Starshine, I promise nothing bad will ever happen to you again. No one will ever harm you as long as I live by your side. It seems like just yesterday I met you, I never would have thought then that I would ever be here with you like this now. Im so glad the spirits lead us to find each other." Kanati nuzzled Starshine once more after saying this.
