Curse has changed to take in affect of the use by Ghost type Pokemon. It halves the user's remaining HP, and curses the opponent. Curse cannot be removed by an item as of now. And if curse is used by any other type but Ghost, the effect remains the same as before.
Curse: the Pokemon loses 10 hp per turn.

A couple of people have pmed me asking about the plot. Seems some people haven't even known it was going on. XD For future reference, check the new Events forums to see what's going on in the guild. The current plot event updates can be found here.

Nothing huge going on, just some housekeeping.
1) Some of the older threads are deleted (if its gone 6 months with no one posting on it, I don't think we'll need it anymore. XD) 2) A new Scavenger Hunt is up and running. Test your Pokemon l33t knowl3dg3 and win a free Pokemon. 3) A new weekly lotto's up. Woo.
Aaand, if anyone can get me the sprite for a Magmarizer, I'd love you forever (and give you a Pokemon XD), I can't seem to find one. >,< So the first one to send me the URL for the image in a PM will get a Pokemon of their choice (excluding legendaries and Eevees).
Edit: Whysperwind found the pic, thanks a ton. <3
Plus, if anyone has any suggestions on how to improve the guild, feel free to PM me. =)

After a bit of beta testing in Hoenn, I'll go ahead and open up the dice systems in the other regions.
Please read these rules before using the new system: ~Each town/dungeon has a list of Pokemon available in that area ~You MUST post the required number of posts in the town before rolling to get a Pokemon appearance. In most areas it is 7 posts, but it is VERY important to again check the first post in the thread to see how many are needed. Post actual rp posts, no bumps or blank posts. These do not count towards the required posts. ~Sprite information can be found online in many places (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/dpmfa.html is a good one). ~Attack information can be obtained through either the Pokemon Attack threads on the main page of the forums or through Serebii.net ~Hp guide for the wild Pokemon is listed below ~The dice system will be enforced. Please, no making Pokemon that don't appear in an area appear, and don't try to cheat the system. I will be watching over the forums, so please, be fair. I hope I don't need to say this other than a un-needed warning, but please, follow the rules.
Exp guide for the wild Pokemon is also below. Please note that, as in the games, you only earn the exp if you defeat the Pokemon in battle, not catch it.

Nothing much to report, other than a new scavenger hunt is up and running, as well as another lotto is up.
I did, however, ban users who weren't active. This won't affect you for the most part... unless you haven't logged in since '06 and haven't posted once since joining. XD

Just made a note about the Exp gained when defeating a foe Poke'mon.
And this update is more for Astral, but everyone should know. The experience given out by gym leaders is as follows:
1st-32exp 2nd-36exp 3rd-42exp 4th-48exp 5th-54exp 6th-60exp 7th-70exp 8th-82exp
Note that this is divided equally between all poke'mon who paricipated. So if you defeated Roxanne with 2 poke'mon, each of them would gain 16 exp. And yes, a poke'mon can gain all of the experience if it manages to defeat the gym leader by itself.
Happy battling!

Well folks, I have finally renovated the fishing system! Sorry it took so long. ^^; Hope it works out well. The specific regional information will be posted in the region's welcome thread.
As a trainer, only certain poke'mon are obtainable in the water. Some by surfing, others by fishing, and even more while diving. The majority of water types are obtainable through fishing, however. To catch these poke'mon, you'll need fishing rods.
To acquire a fishing rod, you must defeat gym leaders. But you must beat them in the same region. To receive the Old Rod, you must defeat 2 consecutive gym leaders. To receive the Good Rod, you must defeat 4 consecutive gym leaders. To receive the Super Rod, you must defeat 6 gym leaders.
A note about the rods, you can have all 3 in your backpack. This is because each rod catches different poke'mon, and so, you'll need all 3 to complete the poke'dex.
So what poke'mon can these rods snare? It will vary region to region, rod to rod, but there's the same general rule with fishing as there is with catching landbred poke'mon. It will be done by dice roll.
NOTE: You may either fish or fight for a land poke'mon at any one time! You may not post 7 times and fish for a poke'mon and then in certain towns fight a poke'mon in the grass. You have to start over for another. If you need clarification, pm a mod.
Old Rod The Old Rod will only catch two poke'mon: Magikarp and Tentacool. Roll any sided di and if it's even you will get a Magikarp, if it's odd you will get a Tentacool. You may only do this once every 5 posts in ANY region, in any town, so long as there is water.
Good Rod The Good Rod catches a variety of poke'mon in the four regions. However, some poke'mon will appear only in one region, while a couple others swim in the waters of two or three. A distinct difference between the Good Rod and the Old Rod, is that the Good Rod won't always land a catch.
To fish for a poke'mon, you must roll 1 20-sided di. This may only be done every 7 posts in any region, in any town that has water. All poke'mon are level 15 and have 120 hp. The attacks will vary depending on the poke'mon.

*continuation of the above post*
Super Rod The Super Rod will allow you to fish for many rare poke'mon. Most of these are evolved water-type poke'mon. There are only 6 variations per region, and some species swim across multiple regions. This rod will also fail to snare a poke'mon from time to time.
To fish for a poke'mon with the Super Rod, you must roll 1 12-sided di. This may only be done every 10 posts in any region, in any town that has water in it. All poke'mon are level 35 with 280 hp. Attacks will vary among the poke'mon and will be posted here.

If you don't ever know the type the attack your poke'mon is using, or is being attacked with, check out the Attack/Type threads. It has all the attacks under their respectful type.

Ok guys, we're proud to announce that we finally have a method for Happiness Evolution! It might seem a bit complex at first but i promise it's not as confusing as it seems.
For Pokemon that evolve by happiness to evolve, they must be in your party for a total of three weeks of activity. They will gain 1 FP ((Friend Point)) for every day they remain in your party and you are active, which means posting a minimum of 5 times a day. Once they achieve 21 FP, they can evolve when they gain a level. This only applies to Pokemon who evolve by happiness so other Pokemon don't need to worry about FP. This method also has it's negative side effects, just like the games do. If a Pokemon that evolves by Happiness loses in Battle, their FP goes down by 2 points.
We hope this appeases those of you who have been dying to evolve your Happiness evolution Pokemon and we want to know what you think just in case we need to revise this method a bit. We'll get you a List of Pokemon that evolve by Happiness up and running as fast as we can just for quick and easy reference.

Chingling to Chimeco between 6 P.M. and 7 A.M. Riolu to Lucario between 7 A.M. and 5 P.M. Happiny is also on this list, however, to get this poke'mon to evolve, you must first get it to like you, and use an Oval Stone on it during 7 A.M. and 5 P.M. *These Evolutions have alternate methods of achievement which can be found at this location. Please note that these are Gaia Standard times.

Notice something different? The guild is now more organized! Things are grouped together now and sorry if it might take a bit of adjustment, but things are easier this way. =)
And the main forum, the Poke'center will be arranged better soon.
