Claude Monet (impressionism), because his use of colour is rather extraordinary. It's something I could never do, which is why I admire it so much. If groupies existed during his lifetime, I'd be his. This is my absolute fave.
Wassily Kandinsky (abstract), because his shapes and colours seem to match eventhough they don't. Also, his work makes me see beyond the surface.
I also love a lot of renaissance painters such as Da Vinci and Michelangelo.

I like Kandinsky too. even though his work is made up of shapes and colours, it's pleasing to look at and quite peaceful sometimes.
