Ariel appreciated Inishiro's philosophy, and wondered what could have happened to make his night so bleak, though left herself to wonder. If he wished to tell, he would, she would not force him to say anything. "Black nights lead to a bright and wonderous dawn." She replied, amazed that she had thought of a reply. She was normally very shy, and didn't voice herself all that well. For some reason, now she did, and was.

Inishiro blinked at her, utterly surprised at the reply. There was more truth in the words than the lioness realized, perhaps even more than he did. "Thank you..." He smiled. "Yes, I suppose, all that I may do, is wait for the dawn." The words, and tone, were gentle, and a soft smiled drifted across his face as he thought of his beloved Lady. Rakastaa. He had to see her again.

"Waiting is nice, but why not run to it? Why must you wait for it? Why not go find it?" Ariel was now speaking of her sister, and that calling deep within her, but it occured to her that her words might apply to this lovely male as well. Perhaps she was making a good impression, an progress as friends.

Inishiro smiled at the lovely lioness at his side, considering her words. Perhaps it would be wiser to run to his love, rather than wait for her parents to come around... Perhaps, they should follow their own hearts, instead of someone else's... "Perhaps you are right, Lady Ariel." He smiled, and then bowed his head slightly. "I am grateful for your wisdom, and wonder if I might ask your friendship? I feel I have known you much of my life, and very much enjoy your company."

Ariel smiled softly. "You've had my friendship." She said with a knowing tone. She too felt as though she knew him, but how? She was born on the boat to this land, and had been with her family, her sister, since then, until, of course, hthey were seperated. "And wisdom is not wise unless the result is what you desired in the first place..."

Inishiro smiled, and allowed himself a chuckle. "Wisdom is not wise?" He shook his head. "You are unlike any lady I have ever met, and I am glad of it." He nosed her shoulder gently. "Come then, perhaps we should eat before we continue our search for your sister..."

Ariel nodded. She was hungry. She couldn't remember the last time she had eaten. "That sounds like a lovely idea." The sentence hadn't even fully left her mouth before the innocent wisdom faded and the huntress appeared. It was true, she was not that great, but with the help of a powerful lion such as Inishiro, she was sute they could take down something.

Inishiro grinned, his paws light as he pranced ahead and looked back over his shoulder. "What does the lady wish to dine on? Zebra? Antelope?" He laughed softly, always eager to hunt. It was not exactly any male's crowning achievement, but Inishiro always found the chase a great game. He liked it almost as much as he liked swimming.

She paused to consider. Antelope was sweet, but a zebra was usually fatter... "Would you care for a zebra?" She asked, knowing she might eat more than her share on such a small animal as the antelope.

Inishiro stretched. "I must confess Zebra sounds divine." He agreed with a grin. Throwing his proud head back he scented the win, tail flicking eagerly. "And it seems there is a herd not far away at all.. To lunch!" He laughed and nudged her playfully, leaping into a trot.

Ariel smiled, as she was nudged before leaping after him and ducking down into a crouched position that she favored for hunting. She scented the wind, as had he, and found the direction in which they would head. She licked her lips in anticipation.

Inishiro lowered his great form, echoing her crouched run. He skittered sideways, nodding his head and allowing her the lead if she wished it. Lionesses were greater hunters than lions, he knew this.. But while he did enjoy hunting- and could do so well enough- he felt it proper to let any lady who wished to lead a hunt do just that. Lead it. "My Lady?" He grinned.

Ariel swallowed hard. She didn't want to make a fool of herself, and at the same time, she knew it was mostly her duty to hunt... so she took the lead, stalking up the hill. Her lithe body moved in fluid motions, like liquid, never faultering as she gained a bit of speed. At the top of the hill, the wind blew into her face, causing her eyes to water a little, but she was okay with that. Better the wind blow at her, then blow at the prey.

Inishiro slowly followed Ariel up the hill, letting her take the lead... Giving her enough room to move as she wished... He merely shadowed her, waiting for the hunt to begin.. They crouched there and overlooked the herd, watching the prey mill about... Searching... Searching for their meal. Several lilely prospects caught his eye, but none so strong as an older beast wandering by itself, just beyond the protection of the herd... A careless to mistake in old age.. He huffed and pointed it out to her.
