Blaed nodded to Arianna, "Alright, I'll get it a little later. I finished dinner a few moments ago," a small pause obviously trying to remember something else and he added, "Oh, and I finished washing the dishes from lunch, too," Blaed nodded once and then turned his head to view Claudine. He hefted Metis to one side of himself giving her ample chance to reach his hair now.

Metis saw the opportunity and took it with her topmost hand and she then promptly rubbed it against her cheek her golden eyes narrowing a bit and she softly began to coo lightly. Father's hair was always so soft and smelled nice. Not that her Auntie's hair wasn't as nice, still it was daddy!

The red head seemed to let the baby do as she wished and stuck out his own hand to shake Claudine's, "I am Onuris Vaiile, most call me Blaed, except for my sister." He introduced himself cheerfully, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, my lady," he intoned respectfully and sincerely with a smallish bow upon releasing her hand. Where as he was usually very flirty it didn't mean he disrespected women, quite the contrary, he respected them greatly. Blaed was obviously being on his best behavior for his sister's sake, "Would you like to join us for dinner?"

"Your hand is a bit cool, is it cold out?" Blaed asked in concern after the invitation, obviously he noted the cool of Claudine's touch.

Arianna just smiled nodding in acceptance to his talk of bringing the stroller in a little later and then added after the introductions, "Lady Voisin met us at the park as Metis and I were leaving," she explained, "she followed us home, protection in groups and all that..." As her brother asked about the conditions of the outdoors she merely shrugged a bit answering with a, "Perhaps but I was too busy speaking with her."

It seemed a child would often get in the way of normal tasks if it was held...Claudine would just be sure not to hold the child unless necessary. It wouldn't care, right? She was Hate...and holding a baby all the time would make it needy. Yes. Exactly. She would ignore all maternal instinct.

Now back to current events.

Claudine easily resisted the urge to be childish and wipe the hand that had been touched with 'man germs' when it was freed from Onuris' grasp. Him...Onuris sounded more feminine to her than Blaed, which she would prefer, but if he preferred Blaed then she'd call him Blaed. Simple as that. The vampire thought for a moment about whether or not to accept the offer; if she said no to joining them then would she have to leave? She wouldn't have that. If she said yes would she be expected to eat? It's not like it was bad for her to eat...it was just pointless. "I'd love to." She instinctively touched her own hand with a reflexive look of confusion and surprise on her face, pressing the back and then the palm against her cheek. Obviously she was used to this.

"Huh...interesting." Arianna could know, but she still didn't know if she could trust her brother enough to tell him the truth of herself. "I suppose it is." Her eyes lifted from her hands after hearing 'Lady Voisin' slowly growing used to hearing Arianna say it instead of one of her maids. She suppressed the urge to chuckle at Arianna's last words, remembering it more as Arianna speaking and Claudine kissing. "It was a very nice walk." Claudine chirped, smiling brightly. "I haven't had girltalk in ages." That was a little bit of a lie. Just a little.

Introductions made and small talk managed Blaed led the women into the dining area still carrying Metis of course. Dinner was already laid out and Arianna helped prepare a place to sit for Claudine, more like Arianna sat it out (insisted on it in fact), while Blaed sat down with a bottle to feed Metis as the child once again began to fuss out of hunger.

Dinner was a quiet affair Arianna would ask Blaed how his 'work' went and he would openly talk about the crowd and the feats he had performed this evening with his rapiers. He was for all purposes a performer and a good one for he bought home enough to at least support his 'family'.

After dinner Blaed cleared the places with mostly one hand. He seemed to enjoy holding onto his daughter, unlike most fathers who would rather set their child down and ignore them. For the moment Blaed had disappeared with the child into the kitchen. There was rustling and soft clattering heard.

Arianna looked over at Claudine and tilted her head, "Did you enjoy the meal, Lady Voisin?" The meal was simple it was at the very least middle class fare.

Claudine went through the motions of eating although none of it tasted good to her anymore. She really wish it did! She'd loved eating when she was...normal. She was very happy when Blaed left with the child, immediately scooting closer to Arianna and toying with her hair, leaning close to the girl. "Hm? Oh I..." The woman thought about her answer for a moment before deciding to just go with the truth. She was too cute to lie to. "I'll be honest. I told you earlier I was a vampire, correct?" She pressed her lips against Arianna's cheek, speaking against it afterwards. "Food to us is like...a human eating dirt. That's the first time I've eaten actual food in many years, dove. If I was still human I'd definitely say yes." She kissed the other cheek. "I hope that isn't offending? I tried to explain it the best I could."

The vampire sat up straight again, combing her fingers through the other woman's hair again. After a moment she took a little of it and held it in place on top of Arianna's head, eyeing her for a moment before letting the hair fall back into place and leaning in again until their noses were touching. "May I pamper you sometime? You're such a lovely woman, I'd love to doll you up. I have many dresses I'm sure you would look gorgeous in, and most of my maids tend to keep minimal contact with me." There was the exception of Bethany but that was because she was chosen to be her personal handmaid.

She blinked at the word 'vampire' and suddenly it made sense. Arianna's eyes widened a little, but she didn't tense up. After all she felt, or hoped, that Claudine didn't mean herself or her family any harm. It was something she was currently clinging onto. It didn't seem to make sense to withdraw because of a silly thing like someone having to sustain one's self on the blood of others.

"O-oh, I see, I am very sorry to hear that," she murmured shyly a blush creeping up to her cheeks. Arianna suddenly felt foolish for being so dense. She didn't withdraw as Claudine affectionately kissed her cheeks or remained in close proximity to her. Still the young woman seemed a little more careful for a moment or two.

"Pamper me? I suppose that would be alright, Lady Voisin," she murmured softly her already blushing cheeks going a tinge darker, "surely I am not worthy of so much of your attention, however..."

Being so close it was only natural Claudine would notice Arianna's eyes grow bigger, suddenly frowning and looking quite scared. Don't scream, don't scream! "You...didn't understand earlier?" Sigh. "Don't be sorry, darling. It was my fault to begin with...besides," Claudine chuckled softly. "Lady Claudine Voisin the Second was born long, long, long ago in a time of Kings and Queens and Lords and Ladies. I've had plenty of time to get over this and move on." Claudine pushed Arianna's hair over her shoulders and reached into her pocket for something, taking out two hair clips and using those to pin up the girl's hair in a pretty little bun behind her head, using the ribbon she'd taken out of her own hair to keep it held up with more than just a couple clips.

"Don't think so little of yourself." Claudine laughed softly and wrapped her arms around Arianna in a hug, giving her yet another kiss. "There are too many tramps in these times. You however have class, charm, wit, beauty...and don't forget absolutely adorable when you blush." She kissed Arianna's chin, the closest she would get to her lips for now. "You are very worthy of my attention."

After a moment or two she was a little less tense but still she was a little more careful she said nothing in response as Claudine fiddled with her hair and put it into a bun behind her head. She was docile and allowed the vampiress to do as she pleased with her hair. A part of her quite enjoyed the attention and that was the small part of her that feared nothing, it was an old part of her before her and her brother had to flee. Arianna lifted up her head a little showing a bit of a flare to her eyes and some of her pride working back into her posture. There was an odd defiant fire to her gaze.

"I do not think little of myself, Lady Claudine Voisin," she responded softly her own arms softly wrapped about the other woman's sides and she merely responded, "The times go on but it seems we remain the same," then her arms fell away blinking a little at the kiss upon her chin. "If you say I am worthy then I must be," she responded humbly.

At this time the shuffling and such finished and foot steps were now approaching the dining area. Blaed was returning to rejoin the women at least for a moment or two. He had obviously done some additional cleaning up considering the length of time he was gone.

The look in Arianna's eyes actually surprised Claudine, causing her to raise a brow and lean in to look the girl in the eye. "Why, Arianna, is there a side of you I have yet to see?" She whispered with excitement, smiling. Defiance? Fire? Was Arianna just a little turtle coming out of her shell now? Claudine certainly hoped so. The vampire let out a breath of a chuckle against Arianna's lips, nuzzling her face into the crook of the girl's neck and taking in her scent.

"That's good." Came her muffled voice, lifting her head again to the place it was before. "Actually I think I was more cheerful back in my day. I've changed quite a bit...and yes. You're very worthy." Her voice grew softer as she neared the end of her sentence, leaning in closer and closer to Arianna's lips and...

Sitting back up and scooting her chair back to its original spot. Arianna's brother was returning now and it would be just a tad awkward to have him walk in if she was still kissing his sister.

Blaed entered the room carrying the baby with him who now had her head resting upon his shoulder dozing quietly. The red headed man gazed about the room for a moment as if momentarily confused by something. The room felt somehow different, or was it just him and his mild paranoia? He brushed it off and smiled over to Claudine and his sister before he spoke, "'Anna, I am going to go get the stroller inside and then Metis and I are going to bed, I have cleaned up in the kitchen already. I didn't think you should have to clean since you had a guest here and all."

Arianna blinked as the 'spell' broke and she looked up over at her brother and nodded lightly, "Thank you, Onuris." She replied and stood up and walked over giving her brother a kiss on the cheek and the baby a kiss on the cheek as well, "Good night then, you two."

The man smiled at his sister and gave Claudine a polite nod of the head. "It is quite late Lady Voisin, feel free to stay for an evening if you so desire," said Onuris as he turned and went to first lay his daughter down for the evening before going about and retrieve the stroller outside.

She turned and faced Claudine with a tilt of her head, "I suppose for now we will part ways? I doubt it is late for you ... Claudine."
PostPosted: Wed Nov 15, 2006 6:17 pm

Claudine nodded her head in polite acknowledgement of Onuris' words, although she really didn't seem to be paying complete attention to him so she had no idea what he said. She'd just heard guest and guessed she was agreeing to something. The vampire watched Arianna get up to give her brother and niece a good night kiss, feeling just a little jealous that Arianna was kissing them instead of her. She'd only received one kiss yet given so many in a matter of minutes!

Her attention seemed to be caught when Onuris offered to let her stay the whole night, smiling brightly and nodding again. "Thank you. I'd love to." Bethany and the others would probably love a night without her...although she could already see Bethany stepping over her boundaries and reprimanding Claudine for staying out so long without sustenance. The vampire waited for Arianna's brother to leave before walking over to Arianna, placing one hand on the girl's hip and the other tenderly held her chin.

"Part ways? You must be insane. If it's alright with you, may I stay? It is a bit late for me to start heading home now...I'm sure it'd be sunrise by the time my home came into view." Claudine leaned forward and rest her forehead against Arianna's, looking into her eyes with a cute little pout. "I could sleep in your room during the day...and you could tell your brother some sort of excuse as to why your new friend isn't waking up in the morning." She smiled. "Perhaps I'm exhausted from staying up all night having giggly little girl chats with you. I'm sure you could come up with something better." She kissed Arianna's chin. "So may I?"

Arianna stayed still as she stared at Claudine in the face with a small raise to her eyebrow. She allowed the other woman to kiss her chin again. For certain the young woman was very chaste indeed. She didn't fritter away her kisses, but the fact that she didn't ask Claudine to stop said something.

The young woman tilted her head as a hand gently lifted up to take Claudine's hand from her chin. Not to remove it but simply hold it as if amazed by the cool of it. Lightly the young woman intertwined her fingers with the vampires and smiled sweetly, "Of course you may stay for evening and the day. I only hope that I can shield you from the daylight properly." She responded, "Come I'll show you my room."

She was about to try again with the kiss that had been stopped before by Arianna's brother, only this time by the time her eyes closed and she had leaned in just a fraction of an inch Arianna took her hand and held it. Claudine opened her eyes and blinked a few times, looking down at their hands with a gentle smile. "Is it uncomfortable?" She asked in a whisper, nuzzling her cheek against Arianna's.

"You could cover the windows with sheets...or I could just sleep completely under the covers with a straw for air. The vampire gave a light laugh and followed Arianna, not letting go of the girl's hand as they walked.

Her eyes became half-lidded as she stared over at the woman before her and simply smiled. Arianna's expression almost seemed mischievous as she squeezed Claudine's hand and simply shook her head responding softly in a whisper, "Would you still be as interested in me if I gave in so soon? A young lady such as I shouldn't kiss straight on the lips after just an evening of meeting someone." It seemed she knew at least some of the vampiress' intentions. Not that they were hard to discern.

"We will cross that bridge when we get to it. I am sure," she said out loud with a smile as she kept a hold of Claudine's hand and lead her upstairs to her bedroom. The room held a four-poster bed and draped about the posts was a light gauzy material and such. The room in itself was almost lavish and yet modest in décor. It reflected Arianna's personality as a whole. There were images of nightingales tastefully painted on the various furniture of her room. The curtains that hung on the windows were fairly thick and would just barely let in the sunlight. It seemed the young woman preferred the darker hours.

"Here we are," Arianna announced as they stepped into the room. Her free hand reached out and turned on the lights. The lighting wasn't bright but it wasn't too dim either.

((Just so you know I'm NPCing Arianna a tiny bit for the end of this post to make it easier. XD You'd already left before I thought up the ending.))

"I will respect your wishes." She lifted Arianna's hand and pressed a kiss to her knuckles. "I'm not so sure how easy it'll be for me though." Claudine teased, letting their hands drop as she kept in step with the girl beside her. "But you're right. Perhaps I'm testing you to see how easily I can woo you into sleeping with me and how easily I can get away after." Her tone was still teasing, in fact the teasing had probably increased so it would be obvious there was absolutely no truth in what she said. Neither she nor Arianna were harlots. "I really am a fine p--" Claudine stumbled with surprise and nearly fell on the stairs at the words that came out of Arianna's lovely mouth next. Cross that bridge? She was sure? Claudine slipped her hand out of the girl's hold and wrapped her arms around her waist, putting her head on Arianna's shoulder and once again keeping in step with her so neither of them would trip.

"So you mean to say that my efforts are not in vain?" That whisper of excitement was back, something she hadn't felt in a very long time before tonight. "You have no idea how much this pleases me." She purred, kissing above a vein she could feel gently pulsing under the delicate skin on Arianna's neck. Claudine looked around the room without lifting her head from its perch. It was nice, charming, it fit Arianna's personality. The nightingales surprised her a little, turning her head to Arianna.

"Nightingale? There certainly is more to you than I thought." Claudine murmured as she let go of her, stepping away to sit back on the bed. It was so comfortable! But there was someone who could make it more comfortable. The vampire reached out and tugged Arianna onto the bed, then she coaxed the girl to lay down and kicked off her shoes. Once that was done Claudine curled up on the bed and cuddled up against Arianna like a child, burying her face into the girl's chest for two reasons: One, a girl's chest was very comfortable. Two, heartbeats had always calmed her and lulled her to sleep. That's exactly what happened too, she was asleep within minutes with her arms wrapped securely around Arianna and her head on her chest. Awwwww.

((T's all good. Peeps were mildly impatient.))

"I think I have a faint idea on how much," Arianna replied simply when they entered the room. Arianna watched as Claudine stepped around her and then sat onto her bed. The young woman merely laughed at the comment and shrugged, "There is much more to me than you know." She said mysteriously.

There was little coaxing involved as she went forth willingly and lay on the bed with Claudine. There was a small surprised squeak as she suddenly had another woman upon her chest, but she adjusted easily and began to play with the vampire's hair and began singing a soft lullaby for her. Her eyes drifted closed as the song suddenly went silent as she, too, drifted into slumber.
