Those things you mentioned do not change a property of the body. But create a new circumstance.
they alter your physical body, and choosing your childs gender does not alter it's genetic coding, but merely guides it's physical structure. If there is any genetic coding geared towards gender, than at teh stage of hormone bombardment, those genes haven't been selected yet.
