"Brawl? ...with guns?" Eponine tilted her head. She remembered the revolutionary scene in Les Miserables, where everyone died. "Isn't that dangerous?"
"I've only been here for a few days, maybe a week," Eponine replied. Okay, so it was longer than that, but seeing as he'd never seen her around before, a little lie wouldn't hurt. "What's in the recreational area?" asked Eponine, thinking of the school playground she had once seen. It seemed a little too juvenile for the LOTUS recruits here..

"Well I'm a fair shot if I do say so myself, but no, by brawl I mean fist fight, more personal and more fun if the time's right. It's got it's danger to it, but that adds to the experience." Shane wondered if she'd understand that. Not that he was sexist, but he often found women thought brawls were useless wastes of time and brains.
"The rec area? It's mainly just a large hall, they've got a stage on one side and that's about it. I'm not sure what they use it for yet. Maybe social get togethers or meetings?" Thinking of it, he hadn't heard of any new recruits lately, of course he wasn't all that old himself, but you think he would've heard rumor.

Seeming rather oblivious to his thoughts, Eponine added in cheerfully, "I could help, I bet."
In contrast, she seemed to get his next turn of mind perfectly. "Some meeting it would be. I haven't seen many people around here. How many recruits does LOTUS have? I've only met you so far."

"I'm sure you could girly, but it's not likely any irishman, fit or not would let you." Of that he was sure. Well... maybe not, some of the older ways were dying off, and a shame it was too.
"You know, I've only met you and Shee. I don't see many people out and abouts really. I've heard LOTUS has a few more than we two though." But thinking of it... where were they? "Perhaps they're all out on mission then?"

"Should I wait for someone to let me?" Eponine said jauntily, unknowingly taking on the same voice she used when playing Eponine on stage.
"Maybe they're just staying in their rooms. Maybe they traveled from far away and just want to rest," Eponine suggested, although it didn't seem likely. The only reason she had done so was because she had been scared of humans, but surely they had nothing to be frightened of..

"Ah... no." There was a bit of cockiness in there somewhere. "But tis not likely they'll continue should a girl join in." He sounded like an a** even to himself.
"Well, stranger things have happened I suppose. And some probably just like to keep to themselves. Not everybody likes company right?" He asked while grinning at her.

After a bit of thinking, Eponien said, "I could always dress up like a boy. Then they'd let me in." The real Eponine had to do so several times, so surely, Eponine reasoned, it could be done.
She began planning it out when she realized she'd forgotten about the other comment: "...rybody likes company, right?"
"What, they don't?" Eponine blinked owlishly. "Oh, right, they don't, they don't. What a shame."

Her determination to get herself inside a brawl was cute to his thinking. He'd just make sure he was there with her to... 'watch' over things. Not all men were so even-minded. "Aye, you could do that. Have you a yen to fight?"
Ah, and there it was, another little snag in the works... "Well, tisn't a shame, just a preferance really. And some people are as fickle as you please, one day loving the public, the next feeling like the whole world is out to get them. It all depends don't you think?"

She looked surprised. "...No, now that I think about it. You said it was fun so I thought..." She trailed off and shrugged ambiguously, with a just as unambiguous smile.
"Knowing the people that get recruited to LOTUS, perhaps the whole world is out to get them," Eponine joked lightly, trying to seem as casual as possible.

It couldn't be stopped, Shane gave himself a moment to laugh. "Girly, you've a mind like a one lane two way road. Not knowing which way to go." It was obvious that he meant it as a joke, he wiped a tear from his eye and looked up and smiled at her.
Yet her comment struck just a little too true in his head. It was his turn to give a non-chalant shrug and act as if the same hadn't happened to himself. "Could be, or we're all delusional." He added.

"...That's a good thing, right?" said Eponine, unsure. She couldn't help but smile back, however.
"I wonder what the world would be like, once it's back to normal," Eponine said, changing the subject abruptly after a small silence of agreement. "Everyone to his or her own time...no crossings."

"Tis a good thing when coming from a friend." Or he hoped they were getting to that point. It was hard to tell, but he kept thinking he was making progress here.
Sure, and the whole idea was to restore time unifcation, but it wasn't as if he could go home then. Not unless time decided it wanted to take 7 years of his life back while it was at it. "Do you think you'd keep your memories of this time after it's all back to normal? People from all times mingling together, tis not a normal day occurance to be sure."

"Ah, that's right." She made neither objection or confirmation to the idea of friends. Perhaps she took it for granted as well.
"It is a normal day's occurence now, I suppose," Eponine said grimly. "You mean it's not a normal history event, perhaps. And I don't know...do you think Shee and Wraith know?"

"True, tis a normal thing now, but when time's put back, someone from my time probably shouldn't be able to think about oh I remember meeting that person from year whenever. It could potentially send the world into ruin, even starting back as far as the mid-ages." Shane sat back on his haunces and rubbed his chin. And if that were the case, maybe the world was better a big jumbled mess.
"Would also be sad if you found the one you loved and they lived in a different period then yourself, I think it'd be better to forget all together..." sighing lightly, he shifted his weight so he fell onto his back. "I don't think anyone really knows what will happen. Except maybe Janus, but I doubt he'd tell us truly."

"That would be horrible, true. But it could work in the same way as well, for enemies. Perhaps the time will just go back to before this whole thing started. Then everyone will forget about this mess...
"But isn't it better to experience something, instead of running away from it? Even if it hurts you in the end?" Eponine half argued, half mused. "Perhaps not even Janus knows what will happen, even though he is the God of Time. And I suppose we aren't exactly on speaking terms with him."
