DaNcErCuTeE4God winder22 what are churches comin to these days, eh? salt and pepper shakers.. sheesh.. whole families leavin cuz of one person.. man.. i think us christians need to bring somthing that keeps people's attention on God and not on eachother... Amen! i at least know my church wouldn't get in a big uproar.. they always have things goin on for fellowship.. without fellowship, and "family time" with the church family, just to relax and have fun.. i know the young adults had a baseball game today.. there's usually badmenton on mondays.. prayor time on lots of the other days.. and they suggest goin out for coffee with one another for fellowship time.. they are also a bit "leaneant" towards how other people are.. more understanding of peoples.. here a little thing i just thought of: Quote: Churches now-a-days have more brains than they do wisdom .. wisdom helps us see truth and understand it.. (i looked in the bible page and that's how i understood the verses i saw on wisdom..) wisdom is A key to understanding this world.. any questions or other points of views?

I think that in most churches whoever is leading the church is who gets to make the plans on where the church is heading. Or atleast at the church I went to was like that.

Ideally, yes. But, there is usually the dreaded board of deacons. Some churches, have good deacons, though.

it is parcially the pastor, yes, but it's mainly the hearts of the people that decide where it goes... if a heart is open to the things of God, it will accept it.. if a person isn't willing to open themselves up to the things of God, the church will grow slowly unless God works somthing in their lives that opens them up..

yeah, in my church, the pastor is not some head honcho who makes all the decisions and teaches everyone. He's just the bass player in the band, and the guy who gets up in front of the church(who also happens to be my daddy XD). He sometimes doesn't even speak. Sometimes people get visions, or revalations during church and they come up. We have such a small church, that we can have a special share time, where anyone gets up and says what God was speaking to them. But, my dad does have to take care of the bills and the such. I guess that's the pastor's special duties. blaugh OOh, i gots to tell a story, it's quite funny, actually, well to me. So my dad was marrying my sister's friend and her fiance'. And in the program it said, "reverend *****(i am not allowed to say my last name) We were all making fun of him, cuz it was a funny thought, him being "reverend". We all got such a kick out of it that we made him a little sign to go on his office door that said reverend! ninja It was funny to me...
