sometimes they are against just anything
that isn't the standard
boy meets girl
girl meets boy
they fall in love and make babies
D: my parents/family
is against it
since they are religous
something about the bible
saying it is wrong
but bah
my mom says the only
thing gay guys
are good for is cutting hair

I have this friend that says that she doesn't care about it in reality because it's none of her business, but since I've gotten into The Vampire Chronicles and fallen in love with LestatxLouis, MariusxArmand, and ArmandxDaniel, I started to write about it here and there. So when I mention my favorite yaoi pairing that I generated, myself, then she starts freaking out. She says that it just weirds her out when people make their characters that way. I can't help but suspect her Catholosism and her very narrow-minded mother. (Good God, her mom scares me. eek )

I think a lot of it is from the people around them; if a child grows up in an environment were there are even small signs of anti-gay attitudes, it passes on very quickly. It is an attitude that is passed on from person to person, and closed minds prevent it from being changed.

My family is all '*hiss* Gayness bad!' but I am proud to be different from my family. My mom is one of those older, Southern peoples who is against it for reasons she has never told me and my dad just thinks it's wrong. My dad doesn't care that I like it, but my mom would.

Eh, in general the gay/lesbian society is something that has been shunned for quite a long time. Whether it be two females together or two males together. I suppose religion probably had to do a lot with it as well as the tolerance level of the people back then. They pass that same tolerance or lack of tolerance to their children and so forth and so on. Just as well, the regular media doesn't help.

My dad is gay. My step-dad is gay. My other step-dad is gay. My mom obviously has nothing against gays. sweatdrop
I was raised around the gay community and so I support them. I think it's the people who still gays are all disgusting, slutty, A.I.D.S. patients who hate them. I mean most people still think that the gay population is a disgusting "alternative lifestyle." You have no idea how much I hate that phrase. It's not a lifestyle. It's not a choice. It's just who people are.
Grrr... idiots hurt my head.
