The gun chuck might have hurt; but Kalis was running way away, plain out fleeing like the mages, and purposely avoiding anything coming close to him. Tight turns would keep him and Aiolos, holding onto his back, safe from airborn firearms.
"We're getting out of here, now." Kalis growled through clenched teeth. "Make sure you're holding on!"
Swerving tight with Aiolos on the bike behind him, he took his turns toward the mages, going v-line while the tigers rushed, taking all the fire at least briefly.
Like the mages, running straight for escape, he had attention on him only from the man who'd thrown a gun at a fleeing dirt bike. Pulling up by the mages, running for safety, he stuck out an arm from the handle bars; grabbing the smallest, lightest looking of the mages and slinging him across his lap.
This done, he continued his swerving, procariously now with the extra-extra passenger, heading not toward the spreading out jeeps or the wave of men from the other direction.
Ignoring everything else going on save to take evasive swerves around stumps sharply enough to throw off gunfire, he headed straight for the dead forest, with Aiolos and a single mage in tow. The others shoudl be able to get away, but this one at least he had with him incase anything more came up, and getting out quick, just a step ahead of the others.

The bike whiffed, instead kicking up a mess of dry grass and dirt over Jackknife. The rider, however, had not been intending to stand still this whole time. As soon as the bike's back tire slammed against a stump, stopping it, he flipped off with a handspring from the handlebars to deliver a heavy heel kick to the mercenary's chin.
The added distance would come from the fact that he was springing off of the bike, and that he was a good 7 feet tall.

I can't say that's a efficent attack... Aiolos thought as he blew his whistle, the gust of wind blew the oncoming barrel away from him and the bike. He held on as they made the turn and blew a couple of more shots at his attacker, just to knock him down again.

Though the driver of the first Jeep was sticking his head out of the window, helmets are standard issue. One of the three bullets hit the side of his helmet, and he knew he'd have a massive headache in the morning. But he definitely wasn't dead.
The two guards following Merry managed to pull down one tiger before it reached them, and the just barely swerved out of the way of its massive body crashing into a few stumps.
Merry dodged a swipe from the last running tiger and neatly swung her sword up into its throat, severing quite a bit of flesh. She didn't look back, she knew it was dead. Her next targets were human, and she wasn't going to miss.
The men in the trucks saw the blood barrier drop and immediately opened fire on the two mages and the man with the blood attacks, swerving to their left to avoid the new wave of blood. Even though the mages were nearing the dead forest, the Jeeps were still in the way, and the bikes were closing in for the kill.

That... ********... Hurt. As Alan fell backwards from the kick he grabbed at the leg with both hands. He yanked the leg around as the grenade went off and fresh dirt and bits of wood filled the air along with small pieces of metal from the grenade. He pulled the man who had jumped on him down and around as the two fell. The metal would miss Jacknife, who was on the ground with a second body covering his head. It was unlikely that the other man would be hit by any of the grenade either. But he would feel the pistol that had pulled itself out of Jacknife's waistband and was now firing at the man on top of him from the side.

Hein bent low as the gusts of wind blew across his back. Reaching to his leg, he pulled out the ash-colored bowie knife as he revved the engine, the ATV roaring once more as it began to reach the upper 70's and low 80's in terms of speed. There was only one thing left to do now.
Slowly, he began to drive towards the riding duo, the third passenger more than likely weighing them down as a 75-80 mph, 4-wheeled, all-terrain quad came ramming into them, Hein's arm extended as he began to slash at the tires with his knife.

Kalis had grabbed the water mage; he was gone.
As Merry and her men opened fire on the remaining too mages, the earth mage spoke the command word he had been holding on his tongue. A wall of earth came roaring up between the mages (and Zen) and their assailants, blocking the gunfire and obscuring the enemy's view of them.
It didn't last long; just long enough for the two mages, under the influence of the air mages spell, to escape into the Dead Forest.

After he replenished his blood Zen's energy returned quickly, he bolted for the exit like everyone else, while he ran Zen was knicked in the arm by a bullet right before he could summon a barrier for himself the mages produced one for him. A few strides away and Zen dived for the exit, the blood of barrier reforming and turning into wings which propelled him into the air and over dead forest in which he dived into cover immediately.

The rider's foot was pulled as Jackknife crumpled under the kick; but it was in the direction of his momentum already, so it did little to offbalance him except to tweak the one leg he hadn't intended on landing with.
When Jack fell, that front foot would come down with a heavy stomp onto his chest; the other foot would be in balance position near Jack's crotch.
Almost before the fall had even ended, the man had reached to his right shoulder and drawn from a back-holster a fullsized 9 guage shotgun. This was pointed directly at the front of Jack's forehead. If Jack still had time to pull his gun and fire up at the man standing over him, he'd have to remove one of his hands from the foot, and that foot would heavily stomp upon the inside of the elbow, in an attempt to pin the arm and screw up the shot.

Barking out orders, Hein completely went against his feminine-like apperance, surprising the three men that he had just pointed out. They were trained mercs, semi-automatic and anti-personal weapons galore. Revving up his ATV, Hein motioned once with his hand, flicking in the direction of the Dead Forest.
And with that the four of them sped off, the sound of 3 bike engines and a quad roaring off.

((Nununu, I believe you misread the post completely. Jacknife grabbed your foot and bulled it towards his feet, which would be in the opposite direction of your momentum for one. For two, Jacknife never touched his pistol it came out by itself, meaning his arms have nothing to do with it as they are holding onto you like hell, and due to his gloves, its extremely hard to break free of that. Also, if you're standing up, you're about to take a hell of a lot of shrapnel and s**t in your back, which would definately unbalance you and make you miss.))

Skysong Moonsword ((Zen, you shot two huge waves of blood at us, and had a near-constant blood barrier which made you dizzy from loss of blood. How fast can your character regenerate blood? Because you just did all of that in the space of two minutes tops, and that is BULL.)) ((I only shot one huge wave, the first was like the size of sword, my second was the big wave. the reason I became dizzy was from holding a shield possible of reflecting bullets for that long, but when I released the shield the blood re-entered my body and my energy was restored))

Fuming, Merry ordered the remaining men to follow the fleeing party. She and the Jeeps sped toward the dead forest.
