...Images of betrail flashed in Xazax's eyes! A beautiful woman lay before him bleeding out whispering his name...

Xazax eyes opened...someone was at the door. The shadow covered the crease....Xazax stood up but it was impossible to tell who it was.

Xellos had made sure that the darkness was too dark for the younger vampire. He used the shadow to climb up the wall silently and he pulled out his crossbow. He aimed it carefully at Xazax's heart to paralyze him and shot once, he did not need anymore. He leapt down on his target the second the shot was fired and landed on him a split second the the shot hit.
"RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!.......YOU! BETRAYING YOUR OWN KIND?!" Xazax face riddled with anger, pain, and sorrow.
"A job is a job." His middle-eastern accent spat calmly at him. "You know the code. Now defend yourself and you just might get out of this alive." He pulled out the bolt and tossed it aside. He jumped off the pew and into the aisle.

Xazax spat blood as it erupted from his bone shattering bashing..."We did there job...they didnt want to pay up...cuz we didnt bring 3 of there men we only brought 1...5 men would be to large..." Spitting out more blood...."...so they captured us and tortured us....her and i..." Vision was a little blurry but he stood up and lept forword forcing a kick into the throat of Xellos and then falling to the ground know that would at least daze him....

He fell back just as Xazax did. He lay on the ground for a couple minutes just to make sure he was passed out. He then picked up Xazax's body and threw him over his shoulder. He rubbed his throat, remembering what AD told him just now. "Little b*****d, you almost broke my neck. Maybe AD's right about you." He walked to the mansion.

Images......the Beautiful woman......Jessica.....his sire....his lover....his last true partner....she was perfect in everyway.....Xazax mumbled details out as his dazed confusion lead him to think he was pleading for his life in front of the Giovanni's....Jessica...he fought for them to stop....but they staked him and made him watch them beat her....cut her....bleed her....then they would pull the wood out so he could crawl near her as she bleed and whispered his name....and they whispered their last I love you.....then his vision failed him....

his hearing returned but it was the sound of something...not his quiet church...he felt light-less....he didn’t have his cross...remembers being beaten and almost for a fact they must have left his cross...he needed his cross...his memory....his burden....

"Shut up. Your cross is here." Xellos said as he dropped Xazax onto a bed. "You'd be dead right now if we didn't need you." Xellos left the room.
