'Kota grinned broadly his dark eyesshimmering int he erriie green phospherous light in the cave. "Yar I be thinkin' you'll make an awsome pirate yarg!" He grins flashing his pale fangs as he did so. "Comon' Lets get back outside it's fun lookin' at treasure but it gets stuffy in heer yanno?" he smiles and nudges the little female. he had noticed that she was getting uncomfortable in the cave. It was a weird place if you wern't brave or used to it like 'Kota was. He nudged her shoulder and nodded towards the entrance "after you lassie, first mates first" he chuckled softly, just cause he was a pirate didn't mean he couldn't be chivelrous like his old man.

Ihlo smiled bashfully at his compliment, although she would later wonder if being called a pirate was something to be proud of. She had yet to think about her future, and what kind of impression she wanted to make on other lions. But for now, being a pirate was an accomplishment, especially in the presence of an older cub.
"Yar!" she agreed with him, and promptly turned around towards the entrance again.
She scrabbled back to the fresh air with ease, for once actually being quite thankful of her small size. She waited from him at the entrance eagerly, her slender tail stuck high in the air.
"Hurry up captain!"

The captain chuckled and bounded after his newest compannion appearing from the open mouth of the 'cove' with a leap and a flourish. He stood with his chest pushed forwards that tiny triangle of white flashing int he sun. "Aye lassy welcome to me motly crew!" He beamed turning to wrinkle his white nose playfully. He was glad she seemed pleased with developments. He had dubbed ehr a pirate, what better thing in the world to be any way?
Sitting for a moment The dark cub took a moment to groom his nose knowing it always caught dirt and dust and made him look grubby. Just because he was a pirate didn't mean he had to be dirty. "yanno, one day I'm gunna leave the pridelands to se the ocean, but I'm gunna come back again" his coal black eyes looked a little distant, he dreamt of the sea, what could it possibly look like? He could only imagine lagues of water with no end. He knew he'd see it one day. "If you wanna you can come with me, It'll be an adventure!"

Ihlo was already splashing around in the shallows of the watering hole by the time 'Kota had emerged from the murk. The thought of having her own treasure one day had certainly given her incentive to be a good pirate. Nothing but 'args' and 'avasts' tumbed from her delicate muzzle.
She splooshed over to him as he cleaned his nose, and seemed quite excited about the prospect of another adventure. It was ncie to meet a male cub who treated her 'like one of the guys.' Her brothers could be a little absent at times.
"That sounds great!" Ihlo replied with fervour. Think of all the things she could see and learn on that kind of adventure!
But then her eyes caught sight of the changing sunlight and she realised how long she'd been away from her mother.
"Oh no...I have to go soon, light is changing..."

'Kota smiled looking up at the slowly changing sky his alabaster orbs searching the sky for a moment. "Aye, my mum will be wondering where I am it be past my dinner time." He grinned sheepishly his dark eyesgiving a little embarressed look. "I'll be seein' ya again Ihlo, an' don't forget to be practisin' your pirate speach" he beams and jumps to his foot paws with a piratey flourish.
"I'll cya round matey!" he pads up to her and nudges her side playfully giving her a cheerful wink before bounding off the way they had come. Hopefully his mum wouldn't be toomad, he'd completely lost track of time.

"Aye! Catch you again captain!" she shouted after Kota, her tail still sticking high up in the air in an all most house-cat manner.
Speaking of dinner, maybe her mother had something ready for her when she got back. In a similarly energetic mood, Ihlo bounded off in the opposite direction, back out to the plains.
